The Senator cut an interesting figure given the party like surroundings, and was clearly comfortable surrounded by the elite of his world. After all, one did not get to such lofty heights without friends, he mused as he considered the Senator. Oturo has done his fair share of research on the man before him, for indeed a large amount of the mans views had been aired publicly in his long political career. They did not share every opinion, but their mutual respect for the business world was a unifying factor.

It was one that was really all that interested Oturo today - and when it came to politics, most days - and he responded to the Senators question with rehearsed politeness.
''Indeed Senator Krass, my flight was confortable - and the Gala exceeded by expectations.'' It was an obvious lie, and the Senator would no doubt notice it, for Oturo was not a man to be easily impressed by baubles, and Galas clearly where not his scene. Once again however, it would most likely not matter - for the politician would understand the need for formalities.

Walking further into the Gala, he commented on the history and the current situation of the Planet the Senator represented
''Correllia has come far in these past decades, a veritable titan of industry now. Something which has attracted the interest of the Company, and indeed many others. Infrastructure of course, is vital to such a planet.'' he paused, careful as to how he phrased his next sentence ''What sort of infrastructure levels does this planet boast?'' he inquired, probing the mans willingness to hear about the Company's MagLev Projects.
Krass looked the man over as he talked. Oturo cut a tall lanky figure of a man. Clearly intellectual and analytical, he was quite the contrast to most of the elaborate and slow witted people in the room.

How dreadful. Krass thought. The majority of my echelon is as slow witted as a bantha.

Oturo, clearly, was a different bread entirely, however. He nodded along as the man spoke,

"I am glad to hear such!" Krass said, "Such a wonderful cause as well. Manufacturing has always had a special place in my heart. It was my late father's life work to build the manufacturing sector. I just merely refined his hard work."

They walked farther into the Gala and continued their conversation. Krass was briefly aware of someone on the outskirts of his space, clearly waiting for some time with the Senator. Aren flashed the waiting man a smile, as if telling him he would get to him as soon as he could.

"Indeed it has. The strides we've taken make me all the more proud to represent her on Chandrilla." He clasped his hands behind his back he continued, "As far as infrastructure, I like to think that is a work in progress. Of course our infrastructure doesn't hold a glowrod to that of Coruscant, but we are getting there. Corellian Air Control has the skies locked down rather well, and we are looking into means of mass public transit, but have no implementations as of yet. Coronet is currently serviced by hoverbusses."

Jota had kept an eye on Bria Tsuani as he continued to funnel more alcoholic beverages down his throat; it took quite a bit to get him off balance. He saw she was in deep conversation with a group of people and decided to wait a moment before interrupting. Instead he pulled out another neat gadget he created and stuck it into his ear. Synchronizing it with his face recognition system, the device began reading Bria’s lips.

Bria Tsuani said:
“-a sizeable bull of our group is comprised of the remnants of my clam. The rest are those who want to better themselves, or a phone for their own pests, hailing from some of the best pilots around to garblgarble elite who have joined us garblgarble."

The robotic voice that attempted to read her lips was rudimentary, but certainly effective. She seemed to be speaking on behalf of the Accord. It appeared to Jota that she was also doing so on her own. He downed his final drink, grabbed a handful of some kind of meat from a floating server and headed over to the group.

It took him some time to squeeze his way through the hustling crowd of wealthy lords and Senators but finally made it into earshot of Tsuani. He removed his ear piece and quickly stuffed into his pocket. He shoved the food into his mouth and chewed rapidly as he made up something to say. He took a deep breath, let out a slight burp, and stepped forward. He tried to seem important, pushing out his chest and adjusting his monocle.

"My Lady Tsuani. I am Jota Dois, your requested representative of the Initiative," he said through gritted teeth, wondering if she would follow along or if she did not need any help in her discussion.

Jace smiled when he realized that only one of the group he was scouting had reacted to his force sense. Though the person who reacted seem really lost and confused, someone new to their powers or someone with little connections. This would be interesting he had not meet another force user that was not part of an order, and as far as he could tell this man was not. This person could come in use later on depending on his connections, he seemed to be pretty close to all of these powerful people. With that in mind he decided to approach the group, he would at least listen in to what is going on closer to them.

He knew that his 1000 creds were all he had to his name, it barely covered his monthly costs but he needed to use these people. He did like helping people, it was what made his family so famed. It was apart of his DNA and one of his greatest weaknesses. While it was selfish to use these people, he knew that these credits were going to a good cause so he didn't fell so bad. He quickly walked down the stairs and onto to the ballroom floor, he made sure to stay just on the outside of the crowds as he made his way to them.

As he neared them he saw a line forming to meet the Senator, this was a good time to meet them. With the most powerful of them occupied with other powerful guests, he would have little time to talk without drawing too much attention. He had not been invited to this and could be thrown out at anytime, that would not help him in his cause at all if that happened.

"So I hear this is the place to go to if you want to help those that can not afford to help themselves. Helping others has been my life's work as long as I have been working. So who do I talk to about donating to this cause." Jace smile as he said this, he was counting on his charm to get him through this next part.

Bria looked back at him, momentarily confused before she caught on to him and his purpose. She remembered mentioning the event to a few of her associates in the Initiative, and it looked like one had shown up. Jota, a tech wiz and professional tinkerer; someone good to have around if you needed something build very fast.

"Aah...yes. Excuse me, this is one of our members, and a representative from our largest non-orthodox-mandalorian group. Mr. Dois, this is Senator Viechelin. We where just discussing the Void."

Mr. Dois was the very definition of "imposing", though that barely described the large felinoid man outfitted with various robotic enhancements and prostheses before Viechelin. "A pleasure to meet you Mr. Dois, Bria was telling me about her mission, she is a most compassionate individual." She said, delicately. It wasn't idle flattery it was sincere if subdued admiration for Bria's goals.

Bria nodded pleasantly to her compliment. Bria had a hard time telling the sincerity of the compliment; but then again, she was somewhat terrible at reading into those things. "As I was saying," Bria continued, going back to her original topic. "We have infrastructure there, most left over from various smuggling operations and the original mining. But we can't make it a complete base without reinforcing the structure, adding total life support, and adding defenses to the outside."

"A very tall order." Viechelin mused. "Why not a more habitable location? A small moon or planetary base? Asteroids are surprisingly fragile." It would certainly cut costs if nothing else. She would gladly give them the money to retrofit any small planetary body they wished but Viechelin decided to be both prudent and respectful by hearing Bria and her associate's full plan for their base of operations. Such as it was.

Arritef watched the newcomer warily. He was still on edge from the unexplained sensation a few moments ago, and something about this man was off putting to him. The man's words were smooth and precise, dripping in almost tangible charm. Arritef cocked his head almost imperceptibly, trying to make heads and tails of the man before him. He seemed pretty normal, if slightly below the average social class at the party, but that meant nothing really. He couldn't shake the feeling that the man was different somehow. He pushed aside those feelings and focused on the conversation at hand.

Aren and the man made their introductions, both pouring equal amounts of false, but convincing charismatic energy into their speech and demeanor. He had seen Aren play this game countless times before, and settled in to see who would win. While he had full confidence in his mentor, the mysterious man gave him that odd feeling — that he was not to be underestimated, nor taken lightly.

"We've considered it." Bria admitted, shrugging her shoulders. "But, surprisingly enough, this is our most viable option. It's small enough to be out of the way but large enough to easily hold us and allow for expansion. It already has various internal infrastructures ready for our habitation, and it's location and structure make repairs on our larger ships much easier. Not to mention that setting up on a planet or orbiting body means that we loose all those benefits, and potentially become bound to a planetary government as well."

They were all perfectly valid points but the part about not being beholden to a planetary government unnerved Viechelin a bit. "I assume you have a plan in place for the retrofit? Materiel, resources, labor?" She asked leadingly.

"Indeed, we do." Bria said, gesturing to the datapad. "It won't be very complex, and once it's in place our people can fill out the interior. But to get all the life support in place, we need assistance."

Viechelin smiled. "Is there anything in particular I can help you with?" She asked, prepared to offer Bria just about anything she required.

"Just what we need to install necessary systems, and the knowledge that we'll meet again in the future." Bria didn't want to just take some credits and run. Long term allies kept coming back to mind.

"So how goes the helping of the innocent tonight? I noticed you had one Jedi in attendance, he must be a riot at these things. I hope all is well on the donation front, and that it is used well. You know how some elite can be, donate 75% of it and pocket the other 25%. Let's all drink to well spent money on helping others, when there is no gain for ones self." He said the last part of it in a joking manor, or what seemed to be one. If you listened closely you could tell something was off with his tone, but not what was. He smiled at the group and lifted up a glass from the server droid, toasted every and drank it down. Most people would feel intimidated by his race, but Jace was trying to come off as friendly and funny.

Of course, Oturo was in some small way aware of the infrastructure of the planet he had been asked to investigate - after all he would not be doing that well at his job if he was not aware of such details - but it paid to engage in the small talk before honing on the real issues at hand. Nodding as the man spoke, as though taking in what he said Oturo allowed a brief moments respite before responding to the Senator.

''Many of the Core Worlds, and other Industrial bases are making breakthroughs with their Infrastructure, through use of MagLev Trains - or similar such transportation devices.'' came the plainly spoken omission of the Risk Analyst. The time had come for him to make the intentions of his employers known, and often it was best to do so quickly, so as to avoid confusion. ''Czerka is a provider of such services should your Government be interested in facilitating similar growth here?''

Aren was aware that Oturo was skirting around a point he was hoping to make, and was laying infrastructure of his own before he moved on to his actual point. Aren knew the game, and played along with it. He listened as he moved to the point, MagLev Trains, and Czerka's building of them. Aren nodded a long,

"I've experienced such trains during my times on Coruscant, they are certainly state of the art. Of course, such an expansion on Corellia would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps we should discuss the details of such an arrangement at your office?"

Aren was certainly interested in the MagLev implementation, but a more formal setting would be far better suited to discussing such a deal.

It was clearly apparent in the mans mind that the Senator had understood what it was that he was getting at, and Oturo took the mans had - shaking it in agreement. ''Most certainly Senator Krass, my office will make the arrangements for you.'' he replied. Offering his farewells, he began to make a mental plan of action for the Senators arrival.

Czerka - never one to shirk away from showing off to people who mattered - would ensure that a transport was made available to bring the Senator from his residence on Correllia, to a 7 star hotel on Coruscant (far away from the poorer districts naturally). There the senator would be staying for the weekend, and the companies expense, before meeting the Risk Analyst in the Company HQ later that week.

Departing, the man left to make the arrangements.

Davian clapped heartily after Aren concluded his short announcement. Slipping next to one of the trays of delicious Corellian dishes, he picked a small morsel of food from the incredible variety. The senator had indeed spared no expense in making his guests feel comfortable. Closing his eyes, he savoured the mouthful. He loved food, anything different than the regular stuff he had on Coruscant anyway. Already, he was enjoying his trip.
Resolving himself, Davian checked his suit and ensured it was up to his standards. Straightening his jacket, he deemed himself presentable (quite dashing, really) and strode towards Aren Krass. Seeing him already in conversation with another professional-looking gentelman. Keeping a respectable distance, Davian waited patiently while sipping his drink until they had finished their discussion.
Aren shook Oturo's hand, nodding in acknowledgement of what the man had said before turning to face the man who had been patiently waiting to speak with him. Walking towards the man he flashed his charming smile "Hello there, may I help you?"

Once in front of the man he locked his hands behind his back and waited for the man to reply. Having hosted this gala, plenty of people were lining up to speak with them, few that he knew prior to their introductions.

Ah, the two were finally finished. Davian puffed out his chest almost imperceptibly as he approached the senator with dignity. Moving his drink to his left hand, Davian smiled warmly and held out his hand gracefully. "Name's Davian. Davian Price. I'm the CEO of a fuel company on Coruscant, PriceCorp. I've heard of your excellent business and it's truly a pleasure to finally meet you."
Looking around at the white ballroom, he continued, "This is really an amazing gala. It's been many years since I've been to an event of such...grandeur. It's heartwarming to see that a senator such as yourself really does care about the injured and sick among your people."

Aren returned the hand shake with an equal amount of grace. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Price. I have often seen and heard of your company during my time spent on Coruscant. It's an honor to meet you."

He waved down a waiter walking nearby and retrieved a glass of champagne, taking a sip of it. He nodded at the compliments to the Gala. "I'm glad to hear such! I find it my moral responsibility to take care of those that carry the backbone of our economy. Now Mr. Price, how might I help you?" He skipped straight to the point, knowing this man had not sought him out and waited to speak with him just to compliment his gala.
