The torches were lit, the fires of war had started. The drum beats were like the heart of any Trandoshan, fierce and powerful as they heard the news. Rrodossk and Yossk together had called the planet and all of her forces together. The old flag was lowered as a new one rose, a simple green flag with a black skull in the top corner. Many of the ships belonging to the government already began to have their old banners removed, replaced with this new wartime flag. The energy to the Trandoshans and anyone actually there was quite toxic, a brew of pent up anger and energy and excitement ready to pour over well before either of the speakers for the day would even be spotted.
That energy simply exploded as the crowd saw the two. Yossk arrived first, a thick cloak Gundark cloak draped over his frame as the Wookie cape most Trandoshan diplomats wore was now seen for the first time on the young Dosh. It was clear his father was grooming this young man to be his successor, the new piece of decoration just proved that. Beneath that he wore full battle armor with his saber on one hip and vibroaxe on the other. His father strode out soon after with his arms raised, the black Wookie pelt cloak shifting over his shoulders as he did so. He showed off the new tunic he had made of a simple green with the skull right on his chest. Large and proud, so anyone could see it. He reached to the podium overlooking the crowd, well before speaking.
The crowd was simply cheering and howling as loud as they could. Humans and Dosh alike were beating their weapons together, or beating them on their chests, as they cheered in excitement. Today was going to be the day that the Trandoshans were finally one. Where they finally could go back to what they once were. A powerful people. A proud people. Not ones who wallowed in the dirt, forced to scrounge up money for any budget they needed. To those who could not be there in person, several camera drones were hovering around the podium at a good distance so they could get the best angles. And all of this was before the speakers could even start. It took nearly five minutes for the crowd to stop chanting bis name, but eventually it was quiet enough for Rrodossk to begin speaking. And those who wanted to listen were waiting with baited breath.
