The torches were lit, the fires of war had started. The drum beats were like the heart of any Trandoshan, fierce and powerful as they heard the news. Rrodossk and Yossk together had called the planet and all of her forces together. The old flag was lowered as a new one rose, a simple green flag with a black skull in the top corner. Many of the ships belonging to the government already began to have their old banners removed, replaced with this new wartime flag. The energy to the Trandoshans and anyone actually there was quite toxic, a brew of pent up anger and energy and excitement ready to pour over well before either of the speakers for the day would even be spotted.

That energy simply exploded as the crowd saw the two. Yossk arrived first, a thick cloak Gundark cloak draped over his frame as the Wookie cape most Trandoshan diplomats wore was now seen for the first time on the young Dosh. It was clear his father was grooming this young man to be his successor, the new piece of decoration just proved that. Beneath that he wore full battle armor with his saber on one hip and vibroaxe on the other. His father strode out soon after with his arms raised, the black Wookie pelt cloak shifting over his shoulders as he did so. He showed off the new tunic he had made of a simple green with the skull right on his chest. Large and proud, so anyone could see it. He reached to the podium overlooking the crowd, well before speaking.

The crowd was simply cheering and howling as loud as they could. Humans and Dosh alike were beating their weapons together, or beating them on their chests, as they cheered in excitement. Today was going to be the day that the Trandoshans were finally one. Where they finally could go back to what they once were. A powerful people. A proud people. Not ones who wallowed in the dirt, forced to scrounge up money for any budget they needed. To those who could not be there in person, several camera drones were hovering around the podium at a good distance so they could get the best angles. And all of this was before the speakers could even start. It took nearly five minutes for the crowd to stop chanting bis name, but eventually it was quiet enough for Rrodossk to begin speaking. And those who wanted to listen were waiting with baited breath.

Rrodossk was quite nervous, a pit forming in his stomach long before he made his final approach to the podium. He knew this would be one of if not the most volatile points of his planets history, the denizens of the cursed planet were hungry for blood and glory. They wanted action. Iron already could be tasted on the tounges of the other species present as much as the Trandoshans. The rowdy crowd was all ready to launch a crusade to reclaim the stars for Dosh, to gain glory and pride and money all for themselves. And Rrodossk was sent up high above them, like some sort of priest preaching to a backwards warrior cult before they drop into their holy battle. The elder Trandoshan knew he had to try and calm the crowd, to temper them so the stats would not be set alight in the blazing light of war.

"Trandoshanss, Humanss, my brotherss and ssissterss of Dosh, lend me your earss." The ancient Trandoshan spoke, his hulking form leaning into his microphone. He spoke softly and calmly, like a soothing father figure trying to temper an upset child's tantrum. "Let us sgather not just our armss together, but alsso our calmer headss. Your fervor is certainly an admiral trait, but unlike the mammalian sspeciess we Trandoshanss are above letting the fire in our bloods get in the way of our sharp and clever mindss." The crowd began to quiet down as the old man spoke, his voice seemingly holding a great grasp on the chain of emotions around the necks of the crowd. They stared up at the Clan elder with wide eyes simply drinking in his words.

"My friendss, my kin, my great people, you are a people capable of actss many other sspeciess are ssimply incapable of. Once Trandosha wass a grand empire, spsanning acrossss the sstar wayss and clenched tight to our worldss. But what are we now?" He let the pause hang for a moment, to let what he had said sink in. "We fight yearly to even have a ssrable currency, to have an economy to ssupport our needs. We have become more reliant on foreign powerss to give uss what they can while we ssit and eat their sscrapss. While foreign cooperation iss good with mpderation, we were never at the center of our own sstory during our dark age. We are one of the pooresst planetss with major habitation in the galaxy, and we have been that way for hundredss of yearss. Where iss our old drive to ssusstain oursselvess by our own hand? Where iss our drive to improve life for oursselvess? Where iss our want to challenge our own abilitiess through gloriouss and honorable deedss?

"Out there, ssent away from our planet and working their way acrossss the galaxy as Mercenariess or Bounty Hunterss or Piratess. They fight to improve and ssusstain themsselvess while the other current Elderss of the Council do not. Many a time I feel I am the only Elder who sstepss among my people to actually try and improve the planet. What we need to do iss ssomething the Dosh are not good at: move on from tradition and change. I ssay we change our viewss on our leadership, the problem is the upper levelss of leadership are sso bloated that even if we have one rather productive member the resst drag their effortss back. I ssay we abolish the Council of Elderss and we ssit one on leader in charge. Thiss way our effortss to expand will be unimpeded by elderss who wish to ssee uss left in the passt and insstead we have one ruler who wishess to see Trandosha brought back into the light and show the galaxy we are a force to he reckoned with!"

He slammed both fists down onto the podium as he was finished, allowing a soft simmer of rage to show. For ages he has been held back by the other Elders, growing fat and "rich" off their positions. The veil of power clouded their eyes and made them drunk with what they thought was delusions of grandure. The others sitting on the council thought that holding Trandosha back would make them feel stronger. To keep them tied back to the traditions that kept the Dosh from becoming major players and to keep the system as slow as a reptilian digestive system. Rrodossk wished to simply plunge his claws into the stomach of each and every of the other councilors, to dig his teeth deep into their throats and simply shred them. But this... this was better. Turn them from martyrs of the system into the very reason why Trandosha was so weak. This was good, very good. He would wait a moment with his eyes gazing around the crowd to see their reactions before he began again. The old banner showed their reliance on tradition while the new banner showed their hunger for glory and strength.

It was interesting to be present for an event so long in the making, yet technically, have this be your first true exposure to it. Lissa remembered more than a few stories over the net about the Trandoshan senator and his efforts to revive his ailing people ever since the Free Worlds Alliance came to an end, maybe even before that. Now, here she was, standing among the mercenaries, soldiers of fortune, and patriots all ready to march forward and end the old regime. One would hope the transition was peaceful, but if that were an assurance, she wouldn't be here.

Even for her, the energy of the crowd was infectious, banging feet and screaming voices filling her with electricity and setting her abuzz with excitement for what could come next. It kind of reminded her of a concert, just with more blasters. It only escalated with the arrival of the revolution's ringleader, adorned in all his finery, ready for battle. She didn't harbor many feelings toward the Trandoshans one way or the other, though she personally always found it hard to tell what they were thinking - this occasion being one of the exceptions. Rrodossk certainly seemed to care about his people, but if life had taught her anything in the short time she'd been living it, it was to never trust a politician. For now, though, she could play at revolutionary hero and get paid for it.

She'd adorned herself in her own finery, usual black coat and simple shirt with her blast vest beneath it and black cargo trousers with two blaster packs in reserve for her rifle and pistol, the former strapped to her back and the latter resting in a holster. She'd also packed some grenades, juuust in case...

An old, muscular man stood amidst the many mercenaries that had been contacted by the Trandoshan and his followers. Tall, imposing and great in size, the White Lion of Zaa Fenn stood out as an animal among men even when masked, the demonic looking mask doing a good job at representing what the galaxy thought of him when he was unmasked. Of course, he had came here not as Gareth Gin, but rather Kaos Tyr, the persona used whenever he wanted to work outside of the Outer Rim.

His Matukai gauntlets at the ready, the Miralukan stood still as the Trandoshan gave his speech: A bit too long for his liking, but he appreciated the dramatic flair; He too, had been a boisterous man in the past, one that took bold moves such as this thinking they would help his people in the future...He briefly wondered if the Lizard would be better at that than him before deciding that he did not care...He just would give him reason to pay him even more than most people here... And really, he had just come here to slaughter Trandoshans, they were a slightly better challenge than the usual rabble he had to deal with, them being a culture of hunters and all of that...Hopefully they would give him a good time.

Rrodossk knew his presence would be looked upon differently by the galaxy as a whole with this. They would not understand what is unfolding. They would see him as a tyrant, as a fiend, as a usurper. Yet he was none of those things. He was a liberator. He was a revolutionary. His clan would be the salvation of Trandosha. No no, the fires of revolution had been there for years. The Dosh were a proud people and they saw their society degrading around them. They were smart enough to know it but followed with the pack, it just took one being to stoke the embers to relight the fire.

"My people, my comradess, my friendss, we are on the precipice of greatness here today. We are sstanding at a crossssroadss, where one path shall lead to further degradation and sstagnation while the other path shall lead uss to a new Trandosham golden age. We shall carry the torch for the resst of the galaxy, to show that even though the Alliance iss gone, or that the New Republic iss gone, a galactic power can be formed and sstay strong. That one planet can risse from abssolute poverty to create a power that expandss well beyond it'ss own ssysstem borderss. And we shall be that planet. No longer shall we live in a planet ussed ass the butt of jokess but instead we shall live in one of the powerhoussess of the galaxy." His reptilian eyes turned around the crowd, his speech pausing for a moment. The crowd was absolutely vivid with barely concealed emotion. The time was right to launch this spear into the heart of the problem and let them correct the major issue holding Trandosha back from greatness. Just one more nudge and it will be go time.

"On thiss very day, with you all at my sside, the Trandoshan Enclave shall risse. We shall overthrow the ineffective and instead put the only member whosse actually cared for thiss planet in a place to bring uss to a brighter future. Let uss march to the council building, let uss give the Elderss an ultimatum: sstep down or b dispossed, and let uss bring Trandosha from the shadow of other planets into the full light Dosh deserves! Let us riiiisse to glory!
" With that the crowd began to chant the word "rise". Their hands and claws raised into the sky with each repeat of the word, both Yossk and even Rrodossk joined into the chant. The energy from the group was so thick one could cut it with a vibro-knife. They were rowdy, they were energetic, and they began to get violent. At first it was one, then a few, then many weapons that were raised. Rrodossk knew what this meant, and as many members of the rally began to rush to the council building, he also knew this was out of his hands.

He reeeeally likes to talk doesn't he? If ever there was a counterpoint to the energy of the crowd it was the sheer length of the Senator's speeches. Still, the crowd seemed to like it, they seemed almost zealously devoted to the rhetoric he spewed out. She had a surface level knowledge of the issues brewing on Trandosha but stander here, she couldn't help but wonder just what the Elders had done to warrant such a reaction...or maybe it was what they hadn't done. She was of the mind that a lazy government was worse than an incompetent government - at least an incompetent government still cared. It was a bit late for these questions though, wasn't it? She was here now, and she had a job to do.

When the order was given, she didn't rush along with the zealots, instead walking in their direction, only stopping when she reached the Senator himself. He was paying for her to be there, but he hadn't given specific orders either so it was best to be sure. "They'll probably get in unopposed, they have the numbers," She said, observing the hordes swarming toward the elder's seats of power. "What's the word? Follow and protect? Stand by you?"
