Bob was never one for strategizing in big battles, he was more often used as the instrument of that strategy. Whether that be hunting down officers, disabling equipment in the night, or leading the suicidal charge out of the trenches. Yet through all that, he had survived and picked up a few tips and tricks to go with his old age.
So it was blatantly obvious then, that there would be an attempted attack on the large, expensive and most importantly slow colony ships that had to make several stops along the way to their intended destination.
It was at one of these stops, particularly one situated at an out of the way asteroid belt that Bob expected these supposed pirates to make their move. The detail surrounding the colony ships were hopefully more than enough to defend them, but just to be safe, most of the colony equipment was distributed throughout the fleet so that if one of the ships were indeed captured or destroyed, it wouldn't be a mission ending failure.
Bob lumbered ponderously throughout the one ship that most obviously held the sleeping colonists. It was obvious of course, because much like Bob, it was very round and very large. They were approaching the asteroid stop soon, and while Bob was confident they could fight off any opposition, it was still possible for the pirates to try and sneak in and hijack the main colony ship with all the people, so he and his friends were here to stop them.
