"Blake." Blake responded as he shook hands with Evie. "Why are you here?"

He wondered what she and the little Twi'lek were doing here, out in the wilderness. It was somewhat strange that two person, one of them being a child, were out in such a dangerous area.

Evie adjusted her holsters and looked up in to Blake’s dark face.

“I’m with the Bounty Hunter’s guild.” She stated airily.

“There’s a village down south,” she pointed just beyond the burning timber.

“I was hired to retrieve some medicine for. The ship carrying it went down, its my job to find it-”

Ashes Coughed wetly.

“Ah kid, of all things!” Evie snapped, dropping to the twi’lek's side who attempted to escape her touch to no avail.

“Hold still!” the Zabrak demanded, wedging the girl’s tiny waist in her forearm and wiping her mouth clean with a strip of her torn sleeve.

“Yeeeuck!” She exclaimed backing away in a spider crawl and tossing the strip from her arm where it hung.

Blood.

Evie brought two fingers to her scalp with distress.

”Its contagious…you shouldn’t have come.” she said.

"Listen." Blake said. "And don't immediately grab what I'm gonna show you out of my hands when I show it, like you did with my medpack."

He put the medpack back into his pack and then took out the medicine.

"This is probably what you are looking for. I was hired to guard the ship but we crashed in the valley up ahead. I have the medicine right here. Is your Tail-Head ill? Or are you as well?" Concern could be heard in his deep voice.

Evie’s face was full of satisfied surprise at Blake’s response.

She snatched the medicine from his palm when he finished speaking with a cheeky grin and turned to the Twi’lek, calling her in sing song.

“Assssshhhhhh~eeees!”

The small navy skinned child wore a wry expression of alarm. Her master chuckled and swayed her hips with the bottle of golden fluid behind her back before pulling a syringe from her pack and smiling cruelly.

The girl squealed and scrambled behind the Merc’s legs with Evie giving chase. They circled him several times before the Zabrak gave up and thrust her arms down in fist.

“Ugh! What is the word for ‘pain in the ass’ in Twi’leki because I think a name change is in store!” She handed the bottle back to Blake with a pout.

“Don’t worry….Its different in Zabraks.” she said of the illness.

“You can’t catch it from me.” She glared at her slave accusingly.

“How far is the Crash?” she asked gravely.

(Sorry I controled him a little but it was for story's sake. I'll edit if you don't appreciate it)

"About 1/4th of a mile that way" Samar said pointing in the direction of the crash. She was all dirty, had a giant crack going from the top left to the bottom right on her visor, and her armor was scratched from the boma fight she was in a little wile age. In her hand she had a bloodied boma tusk.
She scanned the two humanoids and it read...

NAME: Eeicia Evie
SPECIES: Zabrak
AGE: 25
GENDER: Female
HEIGHT: 5 ‘4”
WEIGHT: 118 pounds
EYES: Honey
HAIR: dark brown
SKIN: pale and milky

----------------------------

NAME: Blake Zeth
SPECIES: Human

... ERROR, CORRUPT DATA
yhgfsjdfzhsxfclkyhjccx/ UNABLE TO GAIN MORE PROFILE INFORMATION

----------------------------

NO PROFILE
SPECIES: Twi'lek
>>> PROBABLE SLAVE

... "I was hired by the company that was shipping the medicine to go and find it and any survivors that mite of made it threw the crash" She said wile a hatch opened on her leg and she put the tusk in it.
"Saving this for later" she whispered to herself.
Turning back to them she asked "How did the ship go down? Was it mechanical problems or was it shot down?

“Now just hold on a tick.” Evie said, holding out the flat of her hand to both The unannounced armored stranger and Blake.

“I was hired to get back this medicine. Me.”

She looked back to Blake and added:

“By Scroll.” she expected his recognition of the name.

She turned to the woman, though grateful of her help she was annoyed by her presence.

“There isn’t any company involved here, just a village out there in the canyons and I highly doubt-” she emphasized the last of her words.

Highly doubt any med unit would hire a mercenary for a recovery mission.”

Ashes butted in happily exclaiming:

"Muchi!"

Evie laughed through her nose.

"See even the kid thinks your ciruits are scrambled..."

" I agree." Ares said to Shawn as after he thanked the zabrak and was already on his way back to the hanger.

" We need to get there as quickly as possible, Onderon is indeed a very dangerous place outside the city walls. It is possible that she could already be being digested in the belly of some large predator." Ares was silent after that, not speaking at all as they walked through the main hanger enterance and back to his ship. He was starting to get worried, knowing Stasha could hold herself up in a fight, but not knowing what other dangers lied in the jungles of Onderon.

Sighing deeply as he sat down in the pilots chair, he quickly punched in the coordinates inot the ships nav computer. Causeing the ship to rsie on its own accord and shoot off towards the last known location of Stasha Evie.

"Scroll... That old bastard." Blake mumbled. "He contacted some kind of medical centre to deliver that medicine. I was hired along with a few other mercs to guard the medicine, just in case some pirate freaks... or..." He glanced over at the armored stranger and then over to the Zabrak. "...Others who claim to be here to retrieve it, are trying to take it. I am to guard this thing and not to give it to anyone unless I got permission. Sorry, ladies."

He put the medicine back into the pack and then looked into the direction where the armored woman had gestured towards. Blake shook his head. "You cannot possibly know where we've crashed, we have not given our coordinates to anyone. Our radio's broken."

Blake sighed and looked at the small Twi'lek girl and then back to Evie. He did not trust this strange armored woman at all. He did not know her and he did not know where she came from, but he trusted Evie more. He did not know why, he just had the feeling that Evie could be more trusted than the armored stranger.

Evie reached into her pack with a frown.

“I thought you might say that….”

She plunged her small gloved fist inside and pulled out a plum, taking a bite and chewing it with thought.

“We’ll just have to go to him then and sort-”

She couldn’t taste.

Spitting out a hunk of the fruit she licked her lips numbly and played it off with a stance of unwavering certainty.

“And fast….I don’t want to find out what other creatures are infected.” she looked at the woods bitterly,

Their most direct root had been cut off.

“Blake, you’re with me.” She said almost seductively, her hands clenched her blaster’s in their holsters like detonators and she jutted out one hip, lifting her chin.

“ We need a way around the woods- I’ve had my fill of fried Boma for the night.” her honey colored eyes rolled to the side where the barren flat land waited, steeply down hill and littered with sharp stones. If they could cut through the Valley it would get them to the canyons beyond in no time, though terrain was harsh.

“There…” she pointed.

“We can make it- as they say…”

Ashes came to her side shyly.

There’s safety in numbers. “

"I suggest we first go to the crashsite. There are armed men over there, they will help us. Then, we'll go to that bastard of a Scroll and deliver the medicine. My men and I have scouted the area, we have spotted a way around the woods, we could try that one."

Blake then took a step closer to Evie and whispered, just so the armored stranger couldn't hear it: "Don't trust her."

He then stepped back and tried to recognize the area. He remembered and gestured into the direction of where the ship crash was supposed to be. "Follow me. My comrades will be surprised to see ya'll." He smiled and started to walk back to the ship.

‘armed men…’ Evie thought with a raised eyebrow.

‘I like the sound of that.’

Blake might as well have given her a pair of tickets to the garden of Eden because there were three things in life she enjoyed over all else: Men, Guns and sweet foods.

She followed the mercenary and stopped the little Twi’lek at her side, distancing her with a push to her chest.

“Don’t get to close.” She told Ashes, curling her lip. She was contagious and she had to be practicle as the situation could worsen very esily with the child's condition subject to spread.

“ I don’t want to have to use the medicine up before we get back.”

Ashes didn’t understand her words but she was hurt by her masters tone, she lagged behind, looking about the darkness fearfully and followed.

"Are any of the crew sick?" Evie asked she turned her back on her fellow female with the arm blaster and followed her guide steadily.

The precious pride touched down in a clearing not to far from the main caravan road and the river below. Sigins of the attack hours before had almost completely vanished into the vegitation and mud. But large deep grooves from the caravan getting pulled down towards the river bank were still clearly visible.

" This looks like the place. Look for anything that might give us a clue. " Ares said as he slid down the steep mudbank towards the river. Mud smeared up his brilliant silver armor, but he wasnt even aware of it. The river spat and raged before him, anyone falling into its rapids would be hurled down stream at a startling rate. Ares looked back up the hill and Comm'd to Shawn.

" I think we may need to follow the river. Have you found anything?"

" Not that I know of.... Come down here, I think the river is the key here." Ares said as he turned on his thermal visor. He scanned the hills along the riverbanks down a ways. Not really picking up anything in particular, just a few anilas shooting through the dark here and there.

He started walking along the bank with his thermal visor still on, looking back to see the bright red and orange blob that was Shawn up on the road above. He decided to change the contrast of his thermal scanner, making things that had any heat what-so-ever stick out like sore thumbs against the purple and black backround.

Just as Shawn spoke, Ares caught a glimpse of a bright red and white orbish shaped object through the tree line. " Yes actually I do." He pointed up into the canyon that the river had cut through millenia of work." There appears to be a fire up in those caves somewhere." He said as he quickened his pace.

As they got closer, Ares shut his thermal visor off and used regualr night vision to see. There was what looked like a small community living in the canyon wall cliffs. Using the caves as actual lving spaces, they had covered over the enterances with some kind of mason work, probably to block out the creatures of the night.

He didnt know if any of them where armed, so he took a chance and yelled towards the camp. Amplifying his voice through the speakers in his helmet.

" Hello? Is anyone there? We are from the Bounty Hunters Guild. Id like to speak with your leader."

After a pause a dark Zabrak clad in robes walked out from the dry reeds at the River’s end accompanied by two armed men in turbans. He looked up at the pair with suspicion in his eyes and treaded towards them with a snide expression of unwanted recognition.

“You mustn’t come any closer.” He said, holding out his hand with authority from a short distance.

“I’m afraid this village is full of the sickness.” He warned, his accent coloring each syllable.

Wondering why everyone was acting so strange around her, Samar followed behind, keeping her distance. "Who is this Scroll you keep mentioning?" she asked to the two people who could speak. When the company hired her they did not mention any being named Scroll.

" Well I have airtight battle armor. I dont think a bug'll get through." Ares said as he took another step forward. He was pretty sure he could handle anything the turbaned men through at him, seeing that all them where probably sick and weak.

" D'ya mind if you fill me in on what kind of sickness? "
