Well Unorthodox Sith are always cool, my Sith is one as well but that is due to the fact that he was raised as a serenno noble. Also I like your character's personality but it is also normal for Imperials like my Admiral to doubt him and the other Sith lords since you know, for them they need to act more tactful since they are the leaders of the Empire. This is at least the point of view of my Admiral and most likely Dskod's high Admiral as well :p

Well I always thought that an insane Dark lord would most likely spend his time skinning people alive and burning shit up...but the idea of Dark lords smoking death sticks and partying like this seems a little bit weird to me.

Advisers who are also part of the military sounds like a nice idea, feels very Chiss. Also the Colonial Phalanxes could possibly play the role of fleets and battle groups. Certain phalanxes would consist of purely ground based troops while other could be a fleet or squadron under the command of the Phalanx commander. There could be a phalanx for the intelligence and espionage, special forces, and so on. Basically a phalanx for each specialized division and multiple ground and naval phalanxes so that the military could be easily divided and managed.

Are there any political roles within the Chiss?
