They would be trying to gain money to become the greatest independent force around (think hessians from the American Revolution-like). They want to be free from laws and establish, eventually, a free government. Free from laws, free from corruption, free from politics. A government that is focused around a person's skills and not by how much credits they have. A place where they run the show and answer to no one but themselves.
