It's not too late. Also, the very first rudimentary write up (the one before even the think tank was chosen) told us we'd be using the Imperials and that the Sith were just part of the Empire. At least, it seemed clear to me then.

Yes, you can start as an Imperial and then defect to become an Imperial Rebel. The decision as to what direction your character takes is yours.

Join what, the battle? If so, that's at the discretion of the faction leader.

Some time ago, I asked Dancing Lawn if he intended to RP the actual process of the investigation of the Blobular bombing/emergency landing; he replied that he wanted to wait a bit to give other factors time to develop before continuing further. I think he might intend on just doing a press-release type thing with the investigation's results at an appropriate time.

Any ideas when that might be?
