Flynn was born in space, raised in space and, Force willing, will make his fortune in space and never, ever, actually manage to die. If he absolutely has to die, he will accept only a death in space; otherwise it would just ruin the whole symmetry of his life and that would be awful. He is NOT Force Sensitive.

▵Biography


Flynn was born in one of his father's ships to one of his many lovers. Unlike all of the other children he sired, however, he was actually marriage to Flynn's mother due to a rather bad hand at cards one night. Of course the man was hardly the paternal type so he didn't actually meet Flynn for almost four years.

During that time his mother had told him stories about his father, the great handsome, gentleman, smuggler and all of the adventures he had. As a young child, Flynn positively ate it all up and grew to worship the father he had never actually met as a hero. His mother's death while on a mission for his father was the only reason he was accepted into his father's home properly; truth be told his mother's death was the only thing that reminded his father that he actually existed.

Taken into his father's household on Chandrilla, Flynn was given tutors in almost every subject and treated like some kind of princeling by his still largely absent father. Despite the lack of direct parental affection, Flynn loved and adored his father in a way that only a child truly could. This meant that Flynn lapped up every kind of stereotype about the swashbuckling rouge he could get his hands on and devoted himself to following in what, he believed, to be his father's footsteps.

The fencing lessons began.

The poetry lessons as well.

Not to mention capes became something of a must for almost any kind of function, formal or informal.

Growing up and styling himself as a gentleman smuggler, pirate and occasional classic hero, Flynn dropped out of university to pursue his dream. To that end, he stole a small ship from his father's hanger and struck out into the Galaxy with nothing but his rinky little ship, his sword, his pistols, his outrageous good looks, his high class of education, an up to date thesaurus and a dedicated wardrobe section in the ship's hold.

All the essentials he would need to become the Galaxy's most dashing rogue!

▵Personality

Flynn is intelligent in oh so many ways - and an idiot in just as many ways, if not more.

As a privately educated young man, he is well versed in several languages, cultural and societal norms across the Galaxy and a classical education in music. He enjoys rousing debates about morality, philosophy and his amorous adventures throughout the stars; some of them are exaggerated but not all as Flynn has something of a charm to him that is natural and, mostly, guileless in a manner that can be seen by many as attractive.

This last part bleeds into his main issues as a person; his pride and his inferiority complex. The two terms may seem to be at odds with each other but they often manifest themselves in an over-inflated sense of his own worth when compared to anyone in the Galaxy save for his father.

Most of all though, Flynn is of the opinion that life among the stars is an adventure and a fun one at that. He is quick to laugh in the face of danger (because he doesn't tend to see it as anything more than a backdrop for a good story later) and rush head-long into things without thinking them through.

There are no points for guessing how this will cause him trouble.

▵Skills and abilities

Blue Blood - Flynn has had tutors and a classical Chandrillan education for a lot of his life due to his father's riches and connections. This means he is at ease blending in with the higher classes and has the highbrow tastes of someone who belongs with them.

Deadly Duelist - Taught how to fence and how to duel with pistols, Flynn may look (and play) the part of the fop but he is skilled with blades and blasters in a way that few others are.

Beautiful Bard - For lack of a better term; Flynn is a bard. He is a fighter who enjoys distracting and enraging his opponents to catch them when they slip up while also doing his level best to elevate anyone he is fighting alongside. This does, however, mean he had a tendency to quip like no one's business.
