Background
Zorin was born on the moon Iktotch, and was taken to become a Jedi at a young age. As a young Jedi Knight, Zorin never fought directly against the Exiles and believed that most tales of their atrocities were greatly exaggerated.
At the age of 16, Zorin developed am obsession with the two "sides" of the Force. In his opinion, both sides had strengths and weaknesses and one could benefit the most from using both sides. Knowing that such ideas would probably be considered treacherous and dangerous, Zorin left the Order.
Zorin's experiments failed, but upon using the Dark Side, he became addicted to the temporary bursts of power it could give. After years of research, Zorin concluded that the dark side was superior. He chose to join the Exiles as an Inquisitor eight years ago, due to his skills in deception, sabotage and espionage. After the Tragedy at Ilum, Zorin became loyal to Zerek Xesh.
PERSONALITY
Cunning and manipulative, Zorin often puts up a façade of friendliness, even toward enemies, but this is only a mask to hide the cruelty he is now capable of. Though not afraid of a fight, he prefers to resolve conflicts through his words and mind. Zorin is also ambitious, but not in a backstabbing way (usually). He hopes to become a leader of many Exiles not by killing a Master, but by becoming incredibly strong with the Force and using his way with words to unite people under his cause.
Zorin is also slightly addicted to caf, and will often wear fancy clothing to look more noble (and wealthy).*
Unsurprisingly, Zorin is somewhat adept at Force persuasion and mind probing, as well as Force sense. He fights the Jedi because he thinks of them as a limit to his power, and to learn Dark Side knowledge from the Exiles, but secretly cares little for the organization. If Zorin ever became powerful enough to lead all the Exiles, he would not--instead, he would abandon them knowing that he had everything he needed, and that there were no threats to his power.
