Biography​

Greed...

Zorin Ironstar was once a child of the proud Ironstar family, which, quite stereotypically, possessed a space station. The Ironstars were known for their mining skills and craftsmanship alike. Within the Ironstar family, craftsmen were predominantly found. Despite their robust physique, they excelled at handling delicate, filigree tasks. Zorin's father was well-known for being an adept mining-machine engineer, establishing a balanced relationship with another family on the star station, known as 'Solarstone'. The Solarstones, primarily miners, along with most of the aligned clans on the space stations, held a sympathetic view towards them. However, they did not appreciate the 'non-workers' being in charge, feeling they were treated unfairly. Nonetheless, the Ironstars had made a significant impact on the mining industry by providing top-tier products.

Zorin's abilities were discovered when he was just four years old. He gazed at a stone and sculpted a beautiful, albeit eventually forgotten, figure from it. The Ironstars were delighted to have a Stonespeaker in their midst but faced a dilemma regarding where to send him for training, as the star station had no other Stonespeakers. When rumors spread across the space station about the Ironstars harboring a Stonespeaker, the Solarstones grew fearful that they might amass too much influence. Driven by greed, anxiety, and anger, the Solarstones resolved to assassinate the Ironstar family, and if necessary, the aligned clans as well.

Anger...

'The Night of Blind Anger' was a horrific, yet largely unknown, event on this space station. It took only one family's anxiety and greed to incite others into killing hundreds. The night began with a massive explosion. Zorin's mother, Bronda, shocked by the blast, rushed out of bed to grab her child. Zorin's father, Nornik, armed with his blaster, fired at the door as enemies flooded in. Zorin recalled how Bronda hurried into his room, whisked him from his bed, and ran with the young boy to the escape pods. However, luck was not with the Ironstar family that day. As Bronda opened one of the escape pods and ensured Zorin was safely inside, she was struck multiple times by blaster fire. Crying in pain, she pressed the launch button, sending her child on an unknown journey.

And yet Hope...

Zorin's escape pod rattled upon entering the atmosphere of Tangrene and soon shattered loudly just outside a small village. The locals, intrigued by the flying object, discovered an escape pod with a small child, passed out from the impact, inside. With no family in sight, a human family took him in. It wasn't long before they too discovered his powers. They reached out to the Jedi, inquiring if they would care for him.

After two rotations, the Jedi arrived and took Zorin to the Jedi Temple. There, he met one of his last kind within the Jedi Order: Master Kragar Staranvil. Master Staranvil trained him in the ways of the Jedi, in the ways of the Stonespeaker and in the ways of a skilled sabersmith as well. "Tradition is good, as long as it fits within the surroundings. Change is also good, but too much is bad. Stability is found between tradition and progress," he always said.

The day of his death marked a dark day for Zorin. Not only was Zorin one of the few Dwarsin in the Jedi Order, but he also deeply valued Master Staranvil's advice, which had given him stability...
