OK, so if you ever had kids in your life, what would their name(s) be?

This should be rich, on a star wars roleplaying site?

(I could actually read the posts and find out, but sarcasm is more fun...)

Let's see... mine...

Guy: Karde, Jacques, Duran, Gareth, Tierce, Edward, Vladimir, Revan (Just because, ok?)

Girl: Misha, Rascha, Tasha, Laeryn, Raschelle, Saria... \

I don't like common names...

Did it ever occur to you that some of the people on this site aren't ****ing weirdos who will never find a spouse? I said some, because a lot of them are... unfortunately.

People try to act weird on the internet so who knows. I think 77% will find a spouse. Unfortunately a lot them are teenagers and teenagers are weird.

Male: Ashley, Cael, Neil, Kelaen

Female: Cera, Mina, Eliina

I have considered Celestia before for a girl but I found it too cheesy.

I never implied that. I just implied that we would get some funny names.

Can you please calm down? You've been really hostile lately.

Male: John, Andrew, Daniel
Female: Amanda, Rebecca, Kelly

I stick with the classics.

EDIT: Oh yeah, if I name my kid John, I will try to have his middle name be Rambo. Will it go over with the mom? Probably not; but it is worth a try.

Yes you did, and I may have swore, but that doesn't mean I was being hostile.

No, the overarching tone of the post was emotionally charged, and hostile. I'm a writer, and you were conveying a very negative emotion, somewhere between scorn and hostility.

Swearing also implies strong emotion or aggression.

To the point, however, I also didn't imply what you thought I did. I implied that the names were gonna be weird. I never passed any sort of judgment on eligibility for marriage, or you. I also lumped myself in that same group.

I've never thought about the names I'd give to my kid(s)...if I ever did have kid(s).

English ppl have such stupid names.

"Bob"
"Clark"
"Kent"
"Steve"
"Jean"

or

"Brandon"

They all sound the same.
I'm pretty sure Brandon is an Irish name.

Male

Ollie
An awesome name, spelled the right way too.
Boys:
Camden

Girls:
Leighton
Camden sounds more feminine to me, and if you'd ever been there you wouldn't want to name your kid after it lol.

And Leighton is a guy's name, just fyi.
Guy: Karde, Jacques, Duran, Gareth, Tierce, Edward, Vladimir, Revan (Just because, ok?)

Girl: Misha, Rascha, Tasha, Laeryn, Raschelle, Saria... \

I can't work out if you including a name like Edward (as it is a great name) is a good thing.

I love the name Leighton for a girl though...my best friend has a guys name and I think it suits a girl better than a guy.

As a writer, you should know that in order to infer a person's emotional intent over the intarwebs, you would need descriptors detailing the tone of voice. Without those descriptors, like one uses to describe the way dialogue is spoken, you cannot infer the tone, nor can you know for sure how it was meant. However, what you can do is interpret the post in your own way, which may or may not be the way it was intended. Again however, if you knew the person speaking well, then you would be able to infer these things based on a reasonable pattern of behaviour.

As a writer, you should know this.

Oh, and by the way, yeah, the overarching tone in this post was a mocking one.

Have I been overly hostile lately? No, not at all. I'm only intentionally rude or hostile when the need arises, which hasn't been too often. Perhaps you're only seeing my bad side because that's the part that stands out to you. Regardless, I apologize if you thought I was personally attacking you.

Correction. As a writer, you should understand that basic word choice comes with certain emotional response. Sure, some of it varies from one person to another, but certain words have a much more negative tone than others.

Perhaps they were sarcastically meant, and that is only possible to imply by writing SARCASM at the end of a post, or, realizing that sarcasm is in nature derogatory, and negative; it implies a feeling of superiority and places the target in a position of inferiority.

Despite this, I will state one last time. I didn't mean what you thought I did, and if you stand by your own arguments, you have no choice but to believe me. Or, if I stand by mine, I have no choice but to believe you.

Interesting paradox, no?

It varies much more than you realise. The word '****' may not be taken too lightly where you're from, either because of the way you were brought up, or just due to your culture or society. To me, **** is just another word. Its meaning is derived only from its use, seeing as it hardly has any specific definition any more. There are parts of the world where using the word '****' is just part of everyday speech, and no one takes any offence.

As for sarcasm, the very point of it is to lessen the aggressiveness...

Again, I apologize if you thought I was being too harsh. You obviously just don't know me well enough not to take offence.

I'll also say that my post wasn't really even sarcastic, it was just very light, which I thought evident by the second sentence, admitting that most were '****ing weirdos'.

And there's no paradox here. I misunderstood your implications, and you misunderstood my use of language. No big deal.

Anyone can find a spouse.

I've seen child molesters and psychopaths with spouses.
