Stretching her hand out towards the rippling water that coursed along the stream beside her, fingers tentatively extending towards the liquid surface, first the tips feeling the friction of the water pull against her fingers, forming small wakes around her submerged fingers - before with a focused effort the hand was submerged into the cold body of water, feeling the drag and resistance of pull against the hand whilst small waves crashed against her wrist. A bright smile crossing the teen's features, as she closed her eyes and felt the current of the water gradually wash all over her as she opened her mind into the Force feeling more than just the physical pull of the water against her hand but also how the ebbs and flows of the Force resonated in response to the water.
Yavin 4 was becoming a world that was slowly winning over the young teen, if her first impressions of the Jedi temple was anything to go by it was extremely overwhelming, not because of the occupants who dwelled, trained and studied within the ancient temple. But just because of the sheer extent of technology that had surrounded her; ships that were made of metal not wood and without sails and could fly, strange devices that either filled an entire room or could be held within a hand, or even strange artificial creatures that walked around the temple's grounds. All of it new, strange and a little too much at times for the blonde to process, given that she came from a world that the main technological advancement of her age was the water mill.
Whilst she was gradually coming around to being dropped into the middle of the modern age, she still made the most of the breaks in her training under the guidance of @Maxims Tionson to venture away from the temple grounds and return herself back to a more simpler setting, free of strange beeps and flashing lights, replaced with the sounds of distant birds squawking over head and the rustling of leaves and of course the bubbling water of the stream as it flowed along its path.
It was because of the temple being surrounded by vast forests that life as a Jedi Padawan was starting to grow on Carlyn, be it to take a moment to return to a simpler surrounding or even to simply forage for herbs and berries, or perhaps even hunt a little. There was plenty of options available for her to head out and find a moment of solitude whenever she had started to find herself overwhelmed by the abundance of the Jedi who resided within the temple. With a sigh, the figure opened her eyes as she removed her hand from the water, her gaze moving to the staff that sat beside her before her lips pursed in thought as she instead decided to reach for her satchel and open it to take stock of her current pickings for the afternoon - perhaps need a bit more to tide me over the teen mused to herself as she closed the satchel and got back onto her feet.
Stretching her hand out to the side, the young Padawan summoned the staff into her hand, before proceeding to walk along the forest path keeping a keen eye along the various plants and shrubs that littered the undergrowth around her. "Bhiodh a' chuthag 's an smùdan, A' gabhail ciùil duinn air chrannaibh; Bhiodh an damh donn 's a bhùireadh Gar dùsgadh sa mhadainn." the figure softly murmured as she walked along the path, her fingers lightly drumming against the body of her staff in rhythm with one of the folk songs she had been raised with.
