Stretching her hand out towards the rippling water that coursed along the stream beside her, fingers tentatively extending towards the liquid surface, first the tips feeling the friction of the water pull against her fingers, forming small wakes around her submerged fingers - before with a focused effort the hand was submerged into the cold body of water, feeling the drag and resistance of pull against the hand whilst small waves crashed against her wrist. A bright smile crossing the teen's features, as she closed her eyes and felt the current of the water gradually wash all over her as she opened her mind into the Force feeling more than just the physical pull of the water against her hand but also how the ebbs and flows of the Force resonated in response to the water.

Yavin 4 was becoming a world that was slowly winning over the young teen, if her first impressions of the Jedi temple was anything to go by it was extremely overwhelming, not because of the occupants who dwelled, trained and studied within the ancient temple. But just because of the sheer extent of technology that had surrounded her; ships that were made of metal not wood and without sails and could fly, strange devices that either filled an entire room or could be held within a hand, or even strange artificial creatures that walked around the temple's grounds. All of it new, strange and a little too much at times for the blonde to process, given that she came from a world that the main technological advancement of her age was the water mill.

Whilst she was gradually coming around to being dropped into the middle of the modern age, she still made the most of the breaks in her training under the guidance of @Maxims Tionson to venture away from the temple grounds and return herself back to a more simpler setting, free of strange beeps and flashing lights, replaced with the sounds of distant birds squawking over head and the rustling of leaves and of course the bubbling water of the stream as it flowed along its path.

It was because of the temple being surrounded by vast forests that life as a Jedi Padawan was starting to grow on Carlyn, be it to take a moment to return to a simpler surrounding or even to simply forage for herbs and berries, or perhaps even hunt a little. There was plenty of options available for her to head out and find a moment of solitude whenever she had started to find herself overwhelmed by the abundance of the Jedi who resided within the temple. With a sigh, the figure opened her eyes as she removed her hand from the water, her gaze moving to the staff that sat beside her before her lips pursed in thought as she instead decided to reach for her satchel and open it to take stock of her current pickings for the afternoon - perhaps need a bit more to tide me over the teen mused to herself as she closed the satchel and got back onto her feet.

Stretching her hand out to the side, the young Padawan summoned the staff into her hand, before proceeding to walk along the forest path keeping a keen eye along the various plants and shrubs that littered the undergrowth around her. "Bhiodh a' chuthag 's an smùdan, A' gabhail ciùil duinn air chrannaibh; Bhiodh an damh donn 's a bhùireadh Gar dùsgadh sa mhadainn." the figure softly murmured as she walked along the path, her fingers lightly drumming against the body of her staff in rhythm with one of the folk songs she had been raised with.

Drast was in the middle of his daily routine. Sleep a handful of hours, train, check on the girls, train, check on the girls, sleep. And sometimes, food worked its way into the mix. It was sometime during the first session of training that would find him running through the woods. He was a city boy, but the forest was starting to grow on him, with how serene it was. Like everyday he trained, he ran in greaves and a hardened and weighted letharis vest. It was unzipped and his tattoos and scars were on full display.

Like everyday, he would run until his legs screamed and his lungs begged him to stop, then it was onto the next exercise. Unlike everyday, he would run into another Padawan. Hearing the stream, he would cut through the woods to pause at least for some water, a path that would lead the young Mandalorian to hop the hill, crossing overhead a young woman who was humming or singing? "Carlyn?!" he asked surprised, the sudden arrival throwing off his landing. He would thankfully recover enough to land well enough.

Rising to his feet he offered a smile. "Hey Car!" his arms were spread wide in greeting before crossing over his chest. His eyes scanned for the translator. He was never sure how much she knew so he chose simple words to convey his points and thoughts.

Snapping her gaze around to look at the source of the sound of the heavy fumbling off to her side, the teen's grip on her staff tightening out of reflex, just in case she had wondered into the path of someone or something that was unfriendly, fortunately on this occasion the source of the noise was one of Maxim's fellow Padawan's well at least she assumed it was to the be case. Most of her interaction with the Jedi Councillor, Drastus had been in close proximity to the Jedi Master, easing and relaxing her stance the young blonde smiled as Drastus greeted her.

"Hello, Padawan Drastus. You have nice day?" Carlyn spoke after a brief pause, taking a moment to try and piece together her response with the rudimentary Galactic Basic she had started to pick up during her time among the rest of the Jedi Order. Her eyes narrowing slightly as she ran through what she had said in her mind, more make sure her wording was correct but partly to take a quick cautionary glance at Drastus to gauge whether what she had said had made sense to him.

As that grip tightened, both hands shot up in surrender. "You're getting faster on the draw, nice." And when she spoke basic, the smile turned to a broad grin. "Well, I'll be, you're rocking basic. Although.." he lowered his hands. "Drast is fine. Don't need a title, don't need it to be proper. I made ya tea, that's like short name grounds, yeah?"

His hands moved to rest on his hips and he took a wider stance. "So far, so good. Just doing my eight mile run. You having a good day?"

Whilst perhaps the initial greeting offered from the blonde Padawan was enough to impress Drastus, the perplexed look that spread over her features soon afterwards would soon put aside any celebratory tone, she had picked up fragments of what the other Padawan had said, however some of the syntax and slang he had used had gone over the head of the blonde, whom stood for a few blank moments as she waited for the translation device to decode it back into her native tongue.

Once the translator crackled out with Drastus' words decoded into her own tongue, the blonde smiled and nodded in understanding for a moment before pursing her lips in thought for a moment, as she tried to form a response. "I Sorry, call you Drast now" she offered in her fractured use of Basic, as a sincere almost apologetic smile crossed her features, before they scrunched up into a questioning look as she cocked her head to the side. "Why you run so far?" she questioned briefly before tapping her fingers thoughtfully against the staff as she tried to complete the rest of her answer to the Jedi Padawan.

"I have good day" Carlyn spoke as she reached to the lid of the satchel that was slung over her shoulder. "I find good leaves and berries for...." she continued with her explanation as she opened up the satchel to reveal her gathered foraging for the day so far, before letting out an exasperated groan as the last of the words escaped her. "A ’dèanamh chungaidh-leigheis agus leigheasan" she continued before waiting a moment for the translation device to dutifully kick in and complete her sentence in basic. //Making medicines and remedies//

"Please, please, don't apologize Carlyn. We're friends and we're beyond that." He'd say with a genuinely warm smile. At her question, he'd shrug. "To stay in shape, maintain or build endurance. We may have a direct line to the Force, but I'd rather not take from it if I don't have to."

She was really making strides and she could sense just a small bit of pride in her friend of her. "Glad to hear you're having a good day." As she spoke in her own tongue, he noticed to words sounded similar and then when her language was decided, he'd step closer. "Remedies.. leigheasan?" He asked slowly as he tried out the word. The Padawan had a deep love for learning languages and so he had set out on trying to learn hers, to make conversation easier for her too.
