PERSONALITY:
Xaliv is a very kindhearted man who holds most values that the Jedi hold. He acknowledges his authority with high respect, due in part to the way that his parents raised him. Xaliv has never been willing to let a disagreement between two people get out of hand. He refuses to get into fights that are unfounded, but knows when he needs to fight for the good of others.
BIOGRAPHY:
Xaliv was born to a Kiffar father and a Crystavian mother. His father, Merthn Wyn was a former soldier of Kiffu and became the assistant of Kiffu’s senator. During this time he met a Crystavian, Lidai, with whom he later fell in love. They married and had Xaliv. As most Crystavians tend to follow a female appearance it was expected that Xaliv would take on a feminine appearance and personality. However, this Crystavian was not like most. Xaliv followed his father’s example very closely and somehow did not develop like an ordinary Crystavian. For Crystavians, breasts were very defining, but Xaliv appeared not to have developed like an ordinary Crystavian, taking on a more masculine appearance.
After Xaliv reached the age of six, equal to about thirteen for a standard near human, he declared to his parents that he would consider himself male. This was almost a shock to his mother, as it was unheard of. Never the less, Xaliv claimed to be male from then on.
Xaliv was eight when his parents met a Jedi who took a keen interest in him. Xaliv did not fully understand what the Jedi were, but he thought that the man was intriguing. Finally one day Xaliv’s parents asked him if he liked the Jedi and asked if he would like to live at the Jedi Temple. Strangely enough Xaliv found that he wanted to be away from his parents and with this unusual group that used strange abilities.
Over the next several years Xaliv learned the ways of the Force. He learned to listen to the Force when it gave advice and how to sense things that involved the future. He was liked well by all of his instructors and the other Padawans who knew him.
About a year after the Sith Imperium and the Alliance started their war, Xaliv was made a knight. Xaliv began to focus on his blade, using his natural strength and his natural affinity with the Force to enhance his work with the lightsaber.
By 1,013 ABY Xaliv had strange feelings about the Jedi. Something was happening, but he was not sure what exactly it was going to be. He prepared himself to see Jedi suddenly turn against each other.
Xaliv believed that he was cursed by something, what he was never sure of, because he appeared male to the basic observer. However, there were some elements of Crystavian biology that no one, aside from Xaliv ever saw. But aside from his masculinity, there was also his constant visions and twisted ideas that came into his head. He feels that there is something wrong with him.
Eventually, Xaliv ended up on the “Light of the Force.” He was constantly using his time to further his use of the blade, but constantly received visions and dreams that he believed might one day become true.
When the Jedi were told to leave before the Battle of Coruscant, Xaliv was one of the few on the ship that wanted to join the fight. But he knew that fighting this battle would be futile. The Sith were going to win, no matter how many Jedi fought. It pained him to have to go into hiding, but he knew it was in the best interest of the Jedi that he remain.
Xaliv saw the change in many of the Jedi after the Battle of Coruscant. The few who had been in the battle were changed greatly, but the ones who had not were also being changed. Xaliv knew then that it was only a matter of time before some turned to the dark side.
