Help.

So I've been going to the gym for the last month or two and I've been bringing my iPod down to keep me going throughout cardio and all that but unfortunately the kind of music I listen to, doesn't lend itself very well to running on a treadmill or stepping on a crosstrainer or even lifting weights.

So I need something bombastic, with a constant beat and a lot of base, but something kind of industrial.

I was thinking dubstep? Like I need an album that is just relentless and gets you really ****ing pumped up so I can keep going non-stop until I'm done.

Any reccomendations you could make, would be vastly appreciated.

Go to youtube, 25 minute knife party remix, if you don't already have a bunch by the time I get home I'll think of some more.

Edit: Acid Wolfpack by Coyote Kisses

none, or rather whatever the gym has over the speakers because the only headphones I have are big ol' skull candy double agents and not practical for weight training and all the presses, ISO, inclines, etc etc

Knife party thing was pretty cool I'll probably use that, Acid Wolfpack, not so much.

Dark Nine Inch Nails type of shit would be greatly appreciated.

I hate the music they play at the gym. It's all modern and poppy and dancey.

That Handsome Devil should be good for a few upbeat songs, and Diablo Swing Orchestra has excellent pacing.

In weightroom they always play 3 Days Grace songs on the radio, so I guess that might work.

That Handsome Devil are great, but not work out music.

I need something with bass. Something industrial.

Like Nine Inch Nails meets Dubstep in general.

Google drum and bass. It's a genre. Also go to hypem.com they're got a lot of good music with variety.

The two songs that come out in my mind when you mention workout music are remember the name by fort minor and eye of the tiger. They are both old songs but they are the type of songs that works well when you are working out.

Whoa! Where did you come from.

Edit: I can't really listen to music other than what they have playing at my gym because headphones don't seem to fit my ears properly and fall right out.

I listen to reggae/slow-paced and old school rap when I train for the most part. I find that if you listen to the heavy KILL IT ALL NOW stuff while working out, you blow yourself out in the first few minutes and have nothing left for the rest.

Then again, that's for martial arts based training and we do sparring at the end, so your mileage may vary.

I listen to metal and some rap. Stuff like Indestructable - Disturbed, 'Till I Collapse - Eminem, Enter Sandman - Metallica

What kinda music do you spar to? For me alot of the music they play has no rythem or beat so I find it hard to go with it.

Serani, Mavado, Bone Thugs and a little bit of Nas, Tupac and Biggie.

It's fantastic. I love it. Really easy to keep a clear head and not get all emotional and retarded.

My workout music is either Smodcast or the Drunk Tank.

Cause the soothing sounds of Geoff's laughter and Scott Mosier's voice are better than music.

I listen to the Mass Effect soundtrack. You could be doing the most boring thing in the world, but the minute THIS song plays, you could be running on a treadmill or powerwalking and you automatically feel like the biggest badass ever
