The smuggler’s moon was lighted with fires, explosions and blasters shots. Chaos ruled the streets with the Network still down. For the first time in centuries, the Sith’s rule in Hutt Space was openly challenged. From behind a parked speeder Esfir Radin stared across at an Imperial security station being besieged by rioters who surrounded the complex. The small garrison and the people exchanged laser bolts and curses with one another.

They’re still holding out despite the odds. I’ll give them credit for courage but none in brains. They should’ve tried to withdraw earlier.

Thought Esfir putting in a fresh magazine in her rifle. Then she looked at her chief partner, Horus Tempest. They haven’t met before until recently. She hoped he was competent because this will bd a fight if nothing else. Finally working the nerve to speak Esfir asked.

“Are you ready?”

Nar Shaddaa.

What a hive of scum and villainy it was. Horus could scarcely believe anyone would live in such conditions, he knew the poverty was bad but this... this was on another level. The rioting that had no doubt begun since the communications to this side of the Galaxy where cut off seemed to have reached it's peak as bolts of plasma and curses in kind lanced from either group. The Imperial outpost was completely surrounded by beings of all shapes and sized, some armed with actual weapons and others hurling obscenities or glass bottles filled with liquid meant to ignite into flames. The Jedi was... shocked, to say the least. The very planet itself seemed to radiate a wave of deep anger that stirred much like a beast. Part of him wished he had brought his lightsabers, but considering what had happened recently he had decided against it. He turned to the woman to his left, who seemed pent up or nervous, he dare not use Empathy to confirm or deny the emotions. Nodding, he gently smiled.

"I am always ready. Let's take that outpost and get this underway."

Unholstering his pistol in his left hand, allowing the coat that surrounded his rebel armor to fly freely, he raised it to eye level. His right hand swung up and above his back, clasping the familiar cold metal and leather wrapping of his vibrosword and swinging it from its sheath forward. The young Vahla was armed, lethal, and dangerous. He would move towards the outpost slowly, keeping a distance for the main crowds and glancing backward periodically to assure himself that the woman was keeping up. He had no idea what her name was, but he'd be sure to ask before the day was done. He was a Jedi, he could not simply launch himself in battle as his ancestors had so recklessly done. No, his eyes narrowed even as the coil of the Force extended, locating threats, exits and entrances, vantage points and blind spots. The most dangerous, and perhaps most direct approach would simply be to take the entrance. However, if they could vault over the wall, it would achieve much the same effect without drawing nearly as much attention to themselves.

Raising her right hand Esfir silently counted down to three to Horus. Upon the final number the exile bolted from their cover heading straight for the nearest part of the wall. Her heart pounded with each step she took as the crossfire between the rioters and the Imperials continued. Don’t stop, keep going! Esfir told herself, knowing death would come if she slowed even at the slightest.

Yet for the some strange reason the Imps were not shooting down at her. The siege as a whole must be keeping them rather occupied. It suited the last daughter of the Radin family just fine. Half a minute later she reached the wall. Panting a little turned to her partner and nodded with silent approval.

Pulling a grappling hook from her sachet, the desert dweller whispered. “Time to climb. Get your own hook ready.”
