Esfir Radin knelt beside the wreckage before her. Above the human was a crashed transport that had been carrying refugees, fleeing the revolt on Imperial Hutta. It had been shot down recently the mountain woman can tell, since she smelled lingering smoke nearby. A number of bodies had been found already, but Esfir was picking up a trail.

On the ground were fresh footprints heading down a pass to the east. Judging by the chaotic pattern of the tracks, the survivors were in an hurray to get out of the crash site soon as possible. They fear their oppressors. She concluded before turning to look at the two horned alien with her named Mig.

The tattooed face woman found the being rather odd looking from her point of view. Needless to say this mission was the first time she ever interacted with rebels who happened to be non-humans. Realizing she was staring at him Esfir became slightly embarrassed, before trying to cover it up by speaking

“Uh the survivors went this way.” Radin pointed to the rocky path way on the eastern side of them.

”Appears to be more than dozen. Several injured by the look of it. We will need to hurry. Is your team ready?”

The Sahminian woman hoped this strange looking partner understood Basic because she sometimes had trouble with some for words.

Mig came to the woman's side at the wreckage, looking it over from an engineer's point of view. It was pretty obvious that the ship crash had some survivors based on the damage. When his partner spoke of their direction, he wondered how she knew. His gaze found the prints and he realized she was doing some tracking magic. The Gotal began to prance towards the way, his heavy armor and gear making tons of noise as he did so. He got to a point a bit ahead before turning to wave to the girl he was with. Somehow he had forgotten to say anything to her. As he waved he decided to then yell to her.

"Hi! Let's go!" He shouted out to her, making sure anyone too close would definitely know they were near.

For this mission Mig came with everything he had. He was a true powerhouse. The Gotal could destroy pretty much anything with what he had on him. It was truly a terrifying sight for anyone who knew Mig. Likely more so than a stranger seeing the armored Gotal. This was yet another chance for him to prove his worth in the Alliance. He wanted to show the Galaxy that it was time to fight back. The Jedi returned and the Galactic Alliance was growing. Mig wanted to be there for every step.

"Oh, I'm Mig. Hello, new friend!" He said at a more normal voice after they were closer together.

The shout took her off guard, causing Esfir look back at Mig as if he just grew a second head. Raising a finger to her lips, she quickly hissed. “Sshh! Are you mad? What if our enemies are nearby do you want them to find us?” A closer examination of Gotal revealed to Radin heavily armed her companion was.

She didn’t know to be impressed or horrified.

He may as well brought along a turolaser. Esfir thought sarcastically to herself. The alien seemed to have expression of a child about to go out the village. Are all of his species like this she couldn’t help but wondered. Choosing to focus on the at hand, Esfir gestured for Mig to follow. Then the Sahminian proceeded to the trail through the path ahead in-between two cliffs.

As soon as they started each new footprint became more faint until a minute later they completely disappeared.

“Bi ezmên! The trail is gone.” She exclaimed before adding. “Perhaps we’ve find it up again on the other side.”

It was hard not to feel like Mig had let this woman down. She seemed so eager to follow this trail she spotted earlier but it went cold as she began to inspect it. Plus she had yelled at the Gotal for making too much noise. He frowned a bit within his helmet where she would not really see it. There were other ways to spot people in an area besides following foot prints. Mig could fly up high in the sky and see if anyone could be seen. It was easy enough to do with his jump boots once he climbed onto a ledge for a boost. From this ledge he leaped forward and upwards while activating his boots. Mig caught a lot of air and could see for quite a distance. From this height he saw movement and was certain it had to be their refugees.

"I see them, fri-" Mig smashed into the remains of the crashed ship and slid down it like a cartoon character.

That hit was going to leave Mig a bit dazed for a moment, but he would be okay. Ultimately he had spotted their targets. Unfortunately he had also been spotted by them. They had no way of knowing this terrifying creature was a friend so they quickly picked up their pace while glancing backwards. It was also possible that enemies saw him as well, but nothing happened yet.

"That way!" Mig said excitedly as he recovered.

Next thing Esfir knew the alien was flying up with the jump boots ahead of her. “What are you doing?!” the young woman exclaimed with shock. Realization of what Mig finally hit the human seconds later. He’s looking for them up from above.

For a moment Esfir was quite impressed with the Gotal’s strategy. Only for the latter proceeded to slam into a broken wing of the downed ship. She winced at the sight as Mig slipped in a matter the desert native would describe as comical. The twenty three year old rebel was briefly concerned her new comrade had just died before the horn head got up and pointed to where the survivors were. Without a moment hesitation Esfir ran toward the direction fast as possible.

Having lived off rough existence in the wilderness, Radin was not fazed at all by Makeb’s terrain. Expertly the Sahmanian woman avoided cutting herself by sharp rocks on the ground within the small pass. This continued for several minutes until spotting the band of frightened refugees up ahead.

“Stop! We’re friends, stop!” She called out running toward them yards away. Some of the stragglers turned around to look at Esfir who was waving at them with one hand. Seeing this an large Gamorran with tattooed arms squeaked at the party of crashed more than a survivors to paused and they did so. Panting a little Esfir finally reached the tail of the group.

“Who are you?” Asked a middle aged human woman of cameral skin. Looking back at them, the exile said.

“A friend. Me and my partner are with the Alliance. We’re here to escort you all off planet.”

Mig came waddling over towards the group a good ways behind Esfir. He had needed to recover a bit and was not racing forwards now that his partner caught up and stopped the group. Seemed they were in business to get them out and save the day. Mig would be a hero once more. It was when the Gotal was nearly arrived when he spotted something to one side. Trouble was brewing and him being slow might have just saved them from an ambush.

"Friends! Ambush! Sith ahead!" He shouted as he picked up his pace, rolling the PIPE into his hands with speed.

The powerful rocket launcher was not a toy. Someone still gave one to the Gotal though. Mig missed and caused friendly damage about as often as he actually hit his target. This was another of those times that Mig would do more damage than actual good. While he managed to warn his new friends about an ambush, he ended up shooting way off course and helping the enemy. An explosion rocked the path behind the refugees and caused rocks to splatter all over, injuring some people and making a backwards retreat impossible as the path was destroyed and blocked completely. They were cornered and would need the Rebels to save them before things got heated.

"Woooossssh... oops..."
Mig said as he fired, realizing what he did.

Esfir can feel the desperate eyes fixed on her. Needless to say it felt like a mountain had suddenly been thrown upon her shoulders. The Sahminian was not used to being responsible for so many people. It was an overwhelming feeling for the young woman.

Subsequently Mig who finally caught up declared an ambush. In respond Esfir drew her rifle but only to be alarmed when the Gotal fired his rocket close to them. “Get down!” She shouted to the refugees when the missile exploded and destroyed their exit. The debris fell and cut at some of the ship survivors, causing them cry in pain. Briefly dumbfounded Radin stared at the now blocked exit behind them.

If I survive this mess, I’ll find whoever gave that fool a PIPE and... Before she can finish the thought, five Imperials appeared to the side firing on the group. Screaming in panic the refugees ran to take shelter behind large rocks while Esfir aimed at the nearest black armored trooper and squeezed the trigger. Two bolts struck the enemy soldier, one in the chest and and other in the face. As the first hostile dropped sideways dead the tattooed face woman continued shooting at the next target.

The second Imp tried to dodge but was hit in thigh followed by two shots in the gut, killing him with a pained scream. His three remaining comrades hit the dirt to avoid the same fate. The firefight was on.
