Ossus - Open to any Imperial who would respond to such an event

People are normally pretty quick to forget about battle-torn worlds after the holonet news stops rolling, their minds pulled to the newest catastrophe and newest trends, but the reality was Ossus was not in good shape; they had won but at a terribly high cost. Adrian had been assigned to the sector to assist due to a critical lack of manpower. Peacekeeper forces who were stationed here had suffered heavy losses, and those who had not died had to rebuild in some way or another.

The masked man stepped into the lobby of the bank and shot a blast from his shotgun into the ceiling. "Alright! Everyone stays down, and no one gets hurt." he said in an almost casual tone. Some of the citizens screamed, and some were silent, but all dove to the floor quickly as the rest of the crew spilled in to carry out their assigned roles. They hit several banks in the last weeks since the battle, taking full advantage of the increased response time by security forces.

One teller reached up and hit the silent alarm, looking up, and saw one of the robbers looking down at her. "Oh, now you shouldn't have done that, love." he said, hauling her to feet by her hair. The woman screamed as he pressed a blaster to the side of her head. "Help us get into the vault, and maybe I wont paint the walls with your brains." he said, shoving her towards the back.

"We are on the clock, boss!" the crew member warned.

"Attention all units, possible bank robbery in Sector 32. Reports of shots fired. All available units, please respond." the dispatch came over Adrian's radio. Normally, special weapons teams would be dispatched to such calls, but for now, the handful of Peacekeepers that were available would have to make due.

"Show L-0924 responding," he said, using his ID number. "Responding L-0924." the radio confirmed.

He punched the throttle on his speed bike, siren blaring as he weaved in and out of traffic.

The time since the event, as Guin had come to call it, had taken its toll. Both on the city and personally, as she started to come to grips with the harsh realities of being powerless in the face of power. Ever since she was a little girl, Guin had been afraid of the Sith. Their spooky magic shit boggled the mind, and anything that she couldn't reason with science was something that seemed rather dangerous if left unchecked.

If she hadn't met a certain Knight-Captain all those years ago, it was likely that Guin would have maintained a rather healthy distrust of the Imperial Knights, like, so many had initially after the great exile.

Sitting down, finally drinking that coffee that had been so rudely interrupted when the abominations first attacked, she heard a loud noise coming from the bank? Across the street.

"You've got to be kidding me." She pouted, staring at the freshly poured mug for a few moments before quickly taking a deep long sip as she stood up to investigate.

Adrian rounded the corner on his speeder bike, approaching the bank. One or two other officers had arrived, but likely not nearly enough.

"Boss, we got company!" one of the robbers shouted, looking out the window. "Go buy us some time." he nodded to the large thug.

"Show L-0924 On scn..." he was cut off as a large masked man stepped out of the bank doors with a rather large repeating blaster. He opened fire on Adrian, who had to dive behind a vehicle as his bike was turned into slag metal. "Taking heavy fire, need more units," he said peering over the hood, setting some of the people inside. "Multiple hostages inside."

He pulled his blaster pistol from its holster. They were seriously outgunned.

The trip across the plaza took less than a minute as Guin tried to run the mental math. It was impossible to tell yet how many hostiles were inside the bank, but common practice was for at least a 3-4 person team. Two inside with weapons to control the crowd, one mastermind to handle securing the loot, and a fourth as a getaway vehicle.

Any number of the vehicles in the vicinity could be the culprit, or perhaps it hadn't even arrived at scene yet. It didn't matter, they couldn't just sit outside and camp a speeder in the hopes they'd pick the right one. With every passing second, the hostages were at risk of being injured or worse, especially if they couldn't get what they were after.

Suddenly she spotted a speeder bike show up with a rather promising sight, it was a responding officer. The positivity was short-lived, however, as one of the culprits breached the bank's door with a rather bulky repeater, suddenly firing into where the Lt had been sitting.

Ducking slightly to lower her profile, Guin raced along the remaining area of the plaza now having drawn her blaster pistol. From the angles she had to play with, she figured that she could get a couple of shots off before the hostile could turn to face her, more than enough time to make the next solid cover.

That was of course assuming the Lt was then able to either take the assailant down or force him to stop shooting, otherwise solid cover would be a loose definition of the word.

Running and shooting was never a recipe for success, and thus Guin ensured that her pistol was on its stun setting. Firing in the man's direction, she aimed to buy Adrian the time he desperately needed before sliding into cover.
