"Never let your guard down, or your opponent will seize that sliver of weakness."
"Yes...Master."
The Nikto smiled at his young Apprentice, glad to see that he adapted well to his training. In time, his pliable nature, and strong will, would make for a fine Guardian. Not that the Order used those titles during these times. There was no need. This was a time for Jedi Knights, and the Nikto had known this time would come. He had sensed it in the past, when he was just the boy's age. His own Master had never believed him, but this boy would.
He already did.
---------------------------------------------------
Thrusting upwards diagonally, from his mid-section to his high right, Fexus restrained himself, deftly bringing his blade around to strike towards his left. Had he been blocked both times, his next step was to take a step forward while bringing his arms and chest back, protecting his exposed torso. If there had been a lunge, he would have met the blade with his by slashing to the left, using the small step forward as space to charge forward, his body smashing into his opponent.
Fexus's arms brought the blade back to his chest, again protecting his exposed chest, while he took a step back and regained his posture. Immediately afterwards, he lifted his blade above his head and brought it down, meeting another invisible blade. If the attacker had leapt, like most Ataru or Juyo users, over him to gain ground, his blade would be ready. To protect his head and chest, he brought his blade back to the point he had previously swung from, while taking a step and crouching down, twirling to meet the invisible foe head on. He brought the blue blade down, clashing against the red one, and then charged forward again, this time using the Force to enhance his strength enough to break any guard.
With a deftness few Knights could boast, he brought the blade up and around, ending the foe in front of him with ease. Truly, Form V was a powerful Form. Against the refined and the defensive, it's strength and discipline could overwhelm even the greatest of guards. Against the agile and fierce, It's close defense demanded the opponent get in close, where Form V could shatter their guard and take control of the duel.
Only true Masters could flout it's superiority though, since he was only a Knight. There were Soresu Masters, and Makashi Masters, who would make short work of him. Not to mention Djem So users whose strength dwarfed his.
Yet, the impressive Form found a firm practitioner in the Jedi Knight, and he was eager to share it with another Jedi. He hadn't engaged a Sith in too long.
