Next year is my senior year of college and I'm pondering what to do afterwards. I should be graduating with a BS for Biology and Environmental Science. So, I've thought of a number of ideas but am looking for any guidance my fellow SWRPers might be able to offer.
One thought is graduate school. I've taken a look at a few schools. Many for marine science since I'm thinking of using my scuba certification. A few for environmental science. And most around either the South or New England. On, Tuesday, I'm taking the GRE so that might help me decide.
Another thought is a job. I've looked at a number of zoo jobs, and have thought of looking at biotech companies. Being a hospital technician has also been a thought though I heard you had to have some more certification to do that.
Yet another idea would be PeaceCorps, largely because I want to go somewhere, get some experience, learn something, and it offers fellowships for a number of schools or could be done directly as part of a degree, mostly for environmental science. Also, I think student loans are put aside for that time.
This idea isn't incredibly serious but I have thought of going to Turkey and doing something to support the Syrian opposition. Hopefully, something that could involve biology since that might not involve as much shooting or getting shot at and it would help them throw off the shackles of oppression.
