For weeks since she had her ephiany on knowing that she wanted to become a Jedi, Astra had been searching endlessly in every cantina using what little knowledge she possessed to seek them out. She knew they had lightsabers, and she knew that they had this ability called "The Force". What the Force was she wasn't entire sure of, nor was she sure if she even shared the talent of aquiring it and if she would be accepted among their ranks. Her questioning Coruscant locals in the cantinas over drinks didn't help her situation much.

"It's magic. Pure dead magic!"

"Jedi don't really possess the Force, they use science to make it seem like they can achieve the impossible."

"It doesn't exist. It's the Jedi's hoaky religion and that's all. Don't go following it or you're going to be disappointed."

It seemed like no one really knew what they were talking about. Astra took a sip of her drink - some stuff from Corellia - and pondered her situation. How would she be able to reach a Jedi? Maybe they didn't hang out in cantinas except on business...

And all I want to do is bring good to this forsaken universe... she thought sadly.

Kamair strutted into the cantina, it had been a long day. After a less than cordial meeting with the Shade Council, he could really use a drink. But hey, he had deserved the scolding he had received.

"A shot, tall." He said glumly to the bartender, who nodded kurtly and went off to get his drink.

He turned around and surveyed the scene, nothing out of the ordinary. There were drunk patrons running about after the twi'lek dancers, patrons trying to sell death sticks and other disgusting objects.

"Do you wanna buy a death stick?"

Speak of the devil.

"You want to throw your death sticks on the floor and crush them with your feet." The Shade Knight waved his arm, easily influencing the simple mind of the sentient lifeform.

"I... want to throw my death sticks on the floor and crush them with my feet." the patron went and did just that.

Kamair had to allow himself a small smile, far too easy. As the bartender came back with his shot, Kamair turned a bit and levitated the drink towards his hand, careful not to spill it. Within a second he finished the drink and put it back on the counter.

"Fill it back up."

"Coming right up Kam."

((Did you have anything to do with the Jedi on the old board? The name snake shadow sounds kinda familiar, can't really place it though.))

OOC: Three ****ing vets! :CHappy:

Belyael had just lingered in after his friend Kamair. He had told Kamair he wanted to give his old friend a night on the town to boost his mood, but the Shade Master found little reason why this place would be considered... uplifting. He sat next to his friend and watched in amusement as he told the deathstick dealer to stomp on his product. Chcukling, the silvery haired Belyael produced a pipe from his jacket and filled it with special mix of narcotics shortly before seting it ablaze with a lighter. Flicking the cover back on the lighter he stuck it back into his jacket, his hand brushing against one of his side mounted projectile handguns.

Belyael did think the establishment kept an odd crowd. His eyes widened and his ears perked as his senses came across the conversation of the Force. Ditching his down trodden frend Belyael made his way over to the girl and gave a introductory bow.

"Hello there, milady. You speak of the Force. What is it you would wish to know?" As the last words left his mouth he had risen from the bow and stuck the pipe into his mouth, nibbling at the end.

OOC: C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!

A pale figure wrapped in black robes was sitting in a corner the cantina. He came for a drink simple as that, something he enjoyed. For some reason though he never could get a quiet night. There were two force users in the bar this night, one was actually drinking as well which meant they weren't jedi. That was good...but then who were they? Zaer was curious so he would ask...but not directly. A waitress came over and asked if he'd like a refill "Yes, two more shots, and you want to pay for them." He said which the girl repeated slightly dazed back and came back with his shots.

"Tell me are those two regulars?" He asked now but it mattered little, he picked the information he wanted the moment she thought about it. No it seemed that one of them wasn't a regular. The other on the other hand may be. And there was one asking about the force...hmm...it seemed this would be an interesting night.

Astra looked up from her drink to the man that had approached her. She hoped that perhaps this person would actually have some answers rather than the uncertain replies she had been receiving. It occured to her that maybe not all "Force-users" were Jedi and therefore not necessarily benvolent. What if she got herself into some serious trouble with her questioning?

"Well, you could tell what the Force is for starters. Also, how does one know if they possess it or not?" Astra asked uncertainly, meeting the man's gaze before dropping her eyes, embarassed.

What if I don't have this Force? Is there any other way I could help out this universe? Yet it didn't matter if she had the ability or not, she would find some way to ally herself with the Jedi. They did good; so would she.

OOC:: :P Snake Shadow was a Jedi and a Grandmaster for a short period of time. Man, I had that character forever :D

((Ah alright, I was on the Council for a time during the Republic Remnant happened. Eventually got murdered by Bac though :(

Anyways...))

"The force flows through everyone and everything. Those are there that are more sensitive to feeling it than others, those that can... bend it to their will... so to speak. Like you." Kamair smirked and looked up from his drink, for someone who seemed so hesitant, she didn't know that she was sending off a signal through the force stronger than a beacon.

And yet, there seemed to be another presence nearby, one that seemed familiar. Nope, no it couldn't be him. Kamair shook his head, he was just being haunted by his past.

"Have you ever felt like there was a presence with you, going through you, existing around you? That's when you know you can feel the force."

Kamair returned to his drink, ordering around round and lifting his his hand into the air. The newly bought shot levitated into the air, moving towards the curious young woman.

"All that you need is a little training, otherwise the force will always be a mystery to you."

OOC: I hope I'm allowed to be in more than one rp at a time. I want to actually join one that I'm not like uber behind on.

Anaru was sooo tired when he got out for break. He had a 7 day break before he had to go back into training. He decided to go into his room and change into different normal clothes. From there he figured he could go into one of the cantinas; he always reveled in beating some of the commoners at sabaac.

He decided to go into one of the local cantinas in Coruscant and stepped in. The bartender knew Anaru well and liked him, because he always was polite to him and treated him like an equal. Anaru waved to the bartender Herth, and sat down quietly at the counter, waiting for the sabaac players to arrive.

Beside him he heard the conversation turn to the force, and he was not suprised. Often locals talked about the force as though it was part of a religion or something stupid like that. "Hah if only they knew..." Anaru thought as he realized how fortunate he was. He turned his chair a little to the right and without realizing it he was face to face with the man who had the ability to levitate drinks. Anaru quickly looked down so as not to be disrespectful to his elders.

OOC: I hope you don't mind if I join even though I'm a newbie!

Belyael nodded, Kamair's explanation covered the basics, "There are many ways to help the universe without the Force. Though none of them is terribly clear cut. Do wish to join the Jedi?"

OOC: Ugh... short post.

Suddenly it dawned on him who this 'Kam' fellow was. That young force sensitive he had met and nearly destroyed so long ago. The fact that he could still walk around was amazing, but that he was a fully trained force user...well that was just impressive. "I thought I liked that kid." He said amused to himself.

He took another shot of his firewhiskey and then stood, walking over to the group. "My my, you've grown." He said with a smile on his face. It was odd but in a way he kind of looked at Kamair as a kindred spirit. The boy wouldn't give up his fight at that bar so long ago, just as Zaer had done against so many others. "And finally trained in the force as well it seems. I hope you didn't go to those pesky jedi. It'd be a waste on someone like you." He was talking just as though they were old friends. He had no fear of being attacked, this particular bar was rather crowded, to many innocent people to get hurt, while kamair and his friend were trained, it wasn't fully in the dark side and he thought they would take in the blood of innocents as a non-fight purposal.

OOC:: Sorry guys for taking so long to post, I was visiting family and traveling and I just now got back home... I didn't realize my sister was going to hog the internet. *Frowns*

"Why yes... I do seek the Jedi. I believe that they would be the best in accomplishing my goals. My ultimate desire is to bring more good to the galaxy and clear away the darkness in it," she said hesitantly. "I've always felt like there was something working with me whenever I need to do something, but I've always just passed it off as some kind of adrenaline rush... Sometimes I can catch snippets of a person's thoughts."

Astra didn't know why she was being so honest with these people; she did not even know them. With their knowledge of the Force, perhaps they could guide her and show her how to use a little bit before she joined the Jedi. Unless they were Jedi, which would make her mission all the more easier. What if they wouldn't accept her into their order? What if, after all these years, she wasn't good enough?

Then that new man came over and began speaking to the man who had first spoken about the Force. Apparently, not only were these folk learned about the Force, but they were learned as well. Astra ducked her head slightly and her grip on her drip tightened. The bad feeling persisting inside of her was nowhere near as overwhelming as the thought that she was in a group of people with so much power.

He smiled at the man who had accidentally run into him, but that smile dissapeared as soon as he heard that too far familiar voice.

"Get out of my way kid." He said flatly, nudging him to the side to face the newcomer directly. "Zaer, I thought this place smelled funny."

He glanced hesitantly at the girl and the boy, if they were either Jedi or seeking the Jedi, the name of the Shade order could not be named. He looked over to Belyael for a moment, passing along a telapathic thought. This seemed as if it was about to get ugly.

"I think the two of you shouldn't think about sticking about." He said to the two that he didn't know.

Honestly, even though there were so many innocents about, he didn't care too much. Revenge was something Kamair felt he needed, even though all of his training had taught him otherwise.

"Don't you have some derranged minds to twist farther beyond comprehension than possible? Or is Samara already dead?"

He finged the hilt of his weapon, ready if Zaer was going to do something stupid.

"Why shouldn't I hang around? Unless of course you're doing something "different." Anaru said with a sly smile and the man who told him to leave knew exactly what he was talking about when he said different. "After all, I came in this bar to have some fun tonight, and I may just get my wish!"

Anaru said with a nasty smile to the man who told him to scram.

"Friend of yours, Kam?" Belyael made a gesture of apology to the girl as he broke conversation and joined his comrade at his side. The newcomer did indeed sport the look of the shady sort. How he and Kamair were intertwined was another mystery, but just as Belyael had once been a proud and notable Jedi Knight he was sure that even his good friend could have his secrets.

The Shade Master noticed that Kamair was keeping his hand close to his saber hilt. He had hoped that this would not turn into a fight but the possibility of conflict was indicated through that action. Letting out a sigh, Belyael crossed his arms. Letting one hand slip into his coat and grasp his lightsaber.

"Mm no actually. She left a day or two after that incident. Kind of sad really, the girl had alot of potential. Haven't seen her since. Now, let me get you all a round of drinks." He said with a grin as he reached across the bar and picked out a bottle of fire whiskey. The bartender came over quickly "You going to pay for that?" He said.

Zaer looked right at him, suddenly a look of fear came on the bartenders face and then Zaer said "No, it's on the house." To which the bartender parroted Zaers words and put out some shot glasses. "Mmm so kind of you, now run along." The bartender bowed graciously then left them alone. "One shot for each." He said handing out the glasses now filled with fire whiskey. "So tell me how have you been Kamair? I was worried for you actually. Quite alot of tenacity not giving up like that, reminded me of me to be honest."

"You know... I was never one to be leaving when drinking was about to occur..." Astra said gently to the man who had dismissed her and the other.

She took the shot of the fire whiskey offered to her and set it down upon the table. The woman continued the drink she had already bought herself, her eyes never leaving the newcomer. What was his goal in this cantina tonight? It seemed as if she had gotten more than she had thought would have happened tonight. Maybe they would start using the Force and she'd see it in action!

Astra dropped one hand onto her lap and gently touched her fingers against the hilt of the vibroblade that rested there. What if it did come to fight eventually? It could potentially become four versus one in this situation. Did he possess some sort of stronger power than these others? She sighed mentally; these questions that kept flowing to her mind were unsettling.

It had been awhile since she had mulled around the streets like this. Coruscant wasn't really the type of place Samara liked to be. Too much riff raff in the streets here, too much.. noise. But low and behold Courscant was where Samara had found herself, desperate for a way off the planet and inexplicably lost. Oh well, her problem was nothing a little alcohol couldn't fix. Smoke trailed behind Samara as she entered the cantina, the butt of her death stick falling slowly to the ground just outside; its ember burning brightly before being snuffed out by passers by. A quick gaze around the seedy establishment gave Samara two revelations. The first being that there were quite a few people there, the second being that she recognized two faces instantaneously: Kamair and Zaer. A small smile crossed Samara's lips as she crossed the cantina in a few graceful yet hurried steps. She had made a deliberate attempt to take the long way around the cantina, doing her best to mask the dark power that swirled inside her. Padding softly behind Zaer, Samara got on her tip-toes and wrapped her hands around the man's eyes.

"Guess who~?"
She whispered softly. The rings in Samara's lips glinted softly in the fluorescent lights.

He looked at the both of them, neither of whom had wanted to leave. He almost laughed at the Jedi's comment, he had decided from the way that this one held himself when he walked he was indeed a Jedi. He made sure to pass a mental thought along a telapathic line to his friend.

"Stay if you wish," Kamair said nonchalantly, "your funeral."

He took the drink and took it down with one swig, the burning alcohol barely scorching his throat due to his high tolerance. He took a moment for his throat to clear before facing his old acquaintance.

"Alcohol is a strage thing," He continued, looking at the glass, "look at it, it's so small, and yet you feel its affects. It loosens the body and increases the amount of pain tolerance. And at the same time it makes you act like a fool."

And there it was, a far too familiar voice. So, she had returned, well in a sense. She seemed even more insane than he had last remembered.

"Sir," Kamair said to the bartender, waving a hand to add to his influence through the force. "You want to close this cantina and make the patrons leave."

In a couple moments, the bar was empty.

"Well isn't this touching," Kamair said after a moment of silence, "the whole gang's here."

Anaru blanched as he realized what was going to take place. He had to stay because he felt fate had intertwined the girls path with his. He quickly turned to apologize to the man and said "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to come off as arrogant, I will leave as you suggested."

As soon as the man turned away from him, he found a good place to hide outside the bar. From this position he could survey every activity that was going on inside the cantina. Inside him his wits told him to scram that place as fast as possible before it was too late!!

But he wanted to learn more about this girl about his age. Even though the jedi were not supposed to feel emotion and have a blank mind in the matters of love, Anaru felt strongly for this girl. He tried to erase his feelings, and for the most part did a pretty good job. A sliver of emotion came from within, but he justified by saying to himself, "I just want to protect her that's all."

The patrons grumbled as they were told to pack up so early and some started even stating their refusal to depart at such an hour, "Free drinks on me at Krunel's Tavern across the street!" A rather wealthy man stood up and shouted. Everyone followed the generous customer to the competing establishment. That man had also been under Belyael's little mind trick which seemed to be all the rage among the Force users at this cantina.

Things weren't looking to good. It appeared as if this new girl who had just appeared also had history with Kam and the emotions he was getting didn't indicate this would take a cheery arm in arm direction. The Shade Order wasn't so black and white about these things where Jedi always commanded a stress on no violence. That bit of his training seemed to be barking like a mad dog in the back of his mind. While Belyael knew he did not have to adhere to it, he still realized it was most likely the best course of action regardless of what this dark robed man had done. Right?

Belyael turned to Astra, "If you two are not going to leave then please do not get involved and stick together with that fellow who left. We may not look it but Kamair and myself are powerful enough to handle these two," Whispering under his breath, "I hope," The Shade Master turned away from her hoping she would heed his advice.

He turned the moment the girls hands came up to his yellow and red eyes ready for an attack but instead shock overcame him. For a moment he was speechless, he had thought she died somewhere...A smile came to his lips. "Well now, the reunion is complete isn't it?" He said bending his neck down he gave a kiss softly on Samaras pierced lips. It took a moment to realize what Kamair had done in sending the patrons away.

"I thought you were dead...you've grown stronger though. Seems the training with that other guy did you some good." He said smiling still. "Good good!" He said realizing the patrons were leaving. "A bar to ourselves yes, this does require a private celibration" He said still smiling.

He was not unaware of Kamairs intentions, in fact he was actually trying to defuse them at the moment. "Here here, drinks all around." He said reaching out with the force and bringing nearly half the drinks in the bar over circling around their heads in the air with telekenisis he reached out and grabbed one bottle and took a big drink then offered it to Samara. The others slowly put themselves back on the cabinet after everyone had a chance to grab what they would.
