Amidst the jazzy music and glitter of crystal chandeliers, Jayna felt perfectly within her element. Canto Bight was renowned throughout the Galaxy for being a playground of the elite - congregating to gamble their fortunes away, or participate in one of the lavish parties for which entire resorts were reserved. A lifetime of diplomatic summits and state dinners had engrained social courtesies into the Thorne Heiress, and no more were they utilized than during that evening.

Every kind of vice and pleasure could be indulged on Canto Bight - but it was equally for business purposes that Jayna had opted to attend the party. Nobility and executives from every corner of the Galaxy were in attendance, including representatives of the Mining Guild operating on Teta. The Heiress had already set her sights on expanding influence in the system, and eliminating her rivals in the Mining Guild was one stepping stone towards eventual success.

The Heiress was dressed lavishly for the occasion - adorned in a
black-and-gold gown that was custom-designed for the occasion. Her dark hair was tied into a loose bun, accented with a hairpin wrought in the shape of a lily. Expensive lingered in the path she carved across the spacious ballroom, yet another way that the Heiress seemed to emulate the habits of her infamous father.

Snatching a flute from a passing tray, Jayna idly sipped from her drink - silver eyes sweeping the room. While she might’ve had an intended target in mind, the Heiress was inclined to socialize a bit beforehand.

Pretty much anything can happen in the private backrooms of Canto Bight. Every form of illicit activity from snorting spice lines off a dancer's ass to multimillion dollar hush-hush business deals sealed only by a handshake and a promise of if you double cross me on this, I'll kill you and your entire family.

Fortunately - well, for her, probably not so much as the person she was with - Rell wasn't dealing with anything like that. No, she was in one of the smaller rooms, one with no windows and a heavily locked door. Inside with her was a suave and sophisticated man wearing clothes that cost more than most people's monthly wage.

Funny how little that kind of thing mattered in situations like this. Rell had lured him back here on the pretense of getting into something a bit fun, but that was never really her intention. She had a craving that could only be satisfied in one particular way, and she saw it doing the galaxy a service to rid it of silver-tongued assholes like this. A win-win.

The guy was good and loaded by the time they'd gotten back to the room, and Rell wasn't really one to waste time. As he sat on the couch, Rell would straddle his lap, running her fingers flirtatiously along his cheek as she smiled her devil's smile. Before he could lean forward for a kiss, snake like tendrils would extend from her cheeks and slip into the man's nose.

Rell would drink his soup greedily, her eyes closing in content satisfaction, flashing just the faintest hint of her orgasm face.

Finishing her business, Rell would slip the bouncer outside of the door a five hundred credit chit so that he'd dispose of the body without much of a fuss and she wouldn't have to worry about it later.

Heading back out into the main function, Rell's eyes scanned the area and noticed little that caught her attention. Her own outfit seemed to fit in well with all of the rest of the old and new money gathered here, though hers might have been a little more revealing than most. There was power in a short black dress, especially one that was cut just an inch or two above her Rellussy.

Picking up a drink from a passerby, Rell weaved through the crowd until her eyes fell onto a silver-eyed woman, one she recognized but did not know. A good opportunity for that to change, as far as she was concerned.

Canto Bight always brings out the most.. interesting characters, don't you think? She asked idly, glancing at Jayna from the corner of her eye. Rell knocked back her drink and despite its overly sugary taste, made no face to indicate that she didn't particularly like it.

Does business or pleasure bring you here? A simple question, but one that's answer held worthy information.

Rell wouldn't press Jayna too hard for now, turning back to her drink after her last question before fishing around in her pocket - yes, her dress had pockets - for a cigarette and lighter she swore she tucked in there somewhere.

Jayna couldn’t help the way that her foot tapped to the gentle music - tall heels clicking against marble floors. The quarter-Sephi was hearing her usual earbuds to dampen the louder and more overwhelming noises, but she enjoyed the ambience and social environment that thrummed all around her. Unlike some within her family, Jayna genuinely thrived in the presence of others. Canto was a place she enjoyed, even when terminating a rival wasn’t part of the plan.

She idly slipped from her fluted glass - pausing only when another woman slipped through the crowd to join her. The Heiress practically towered over Rell, the tall heels already adding to her impressive height. There was a prolonged moment of silence when the Anzat spoke, those silver eyes not quite turning to acknowledge the woman had approached. Seconds ticked by - just long enough for Rell to wonder if Jayna had heard at all - before the Heiress tilted her head towards the Anzat.

“So it does.” She said smoothly. Whether Rell fit into that category - and whether it was a positive or negative commotion - was entirely left up in the air.

“I’m not sure those two things are mutually exclusive, are you?” The Heiress said with the faintest hints of a smirk, tugging the corners of her lips to break the otherwise blank expression. She took one more drink from her flute before turning to face Rell fully.

“Are you here to be of assistance to either, Miss..?” She trailed off. There were two questions there to be answered.

Rell couldn't help but wonder if the vast distance between her own lips and Jayna's ears had caused her to be unheard, though it would become evident after a few moments that the giantess had indeed caught her comments when she finally deigned to answer.

It definitely makes life more interesting when they are intertwined, Rell said, her gaze sweeping over the denizens of Canto Bight instead of craning upwards in an attempt to catch Jayna's.

I suppose I am, She said, the ghost of a smirk pulling at the corners of her lips. Though I'm confident I know which one I prefer. Despite the coquettishness that found its way into Rell's voice, she was much more interested in business than pleasure.

She could find pleasure anywhere, and despite Jayna Thorne's impressive stature and undeniable beauty, there were a million people on Canto Bight just as striking that Rell could consume wholly, first their body, and then their mind. Something told her that Ms. Thorne might have had an issue with the latter, and that was the part that Rell enjoyed the most.

Don't tease me with your coy questions now, Rell said, finally turning her gaze - and craning her neck - to look directly at Jayna. Tell me what's bouncing around in that pretty little head of yours.

Pulling a cigarette out of a small silver case, Rell lit it with a flip lighter and took a long drag, blowing the smoke out of her nose as she exhaled contentedly. There was so much going on on Canto Bight that most of the time, without obvious direction, it was easy to get swept up in the glamor and lose sight of what you were there for.

She hoped that her chance meeting with Jayna would result in quite more than that.
