It had been almost four years since Nal Hutta and Moraband. Though technically him and Azar never officiated it that was the day his heart belonged to Azar. In all that time him and Azar had never had a proper outing that was just a date, so he was remedying that. He obviously didn't inform Azar of that though, opting instead to keep the whole point of their trip under wraps.

The only information he had given Azar was to clear a week of his schedule for an outing. Knowing the track record of Trael and his 'outings' it likely seemed like another mission or hunt that was an overlayed excuse to get some time with Azar. That couldn't be further from the truth though, Trael was taking Azar to his homeworld, Naboo. There was a coming of age festival ongoing and Trael had finally decided it was time to face his past, and he wanted to do so with the person he loved and trusted most.

They were cruising through hyperspace on their way to the world. Trael had taken every precaution to ensure Azar hadn't learned of the destination. He had a piloting droid so he didn't have to worry about flying when he was taking Azar anywhere. Trael was in the kitchen, cooking a dish he hadn't yet made Azar. It was Caponata, a dish that normally consisted of eggplant but originally used capone fish that was expensive, he was using the fish for Azar. "The food will be ready shortly, dear!" He called out to Azar who was still taking his midday nap.

Azar only grumbled incoherently in response, pulling the covers over his head to go back to sleep. He decided to ‘rest his eyes’ for a ‘few minutes’ which turned into going on three hours now. Fortunately Trael was an exceptionally patient man and put up with Azar antics. The Pureblood was out cold and lightly snoring in their bed, snuggled up with a million pillows and blankets all for himself. Once he smelled the food, however, all bets were off.

After a few minutes, Azar emerged after freshening up. The Pureblood didn’t bother dressing in anything beyond one of Trael’s hoodies that hung more like a dress on him. He wore just that and what looked like glorified panties for men underneath it to perfectly hug his assets and nothing more. Azar sleepily rubbed his eyes, the sleeves of the hoodie large around his tiny, dainty wrists.

“Smells amazing babe,” He said while stifling a yawn, “How long was I out?” Azar said as he took a seat, sniffing the air as his stomach growled.

“Why won’t you tell me where we’re goooing?” Azar whined as he rested his elbows on the counter and placed his head on them, pouting as he pondered going back to bed. But not without a snack.

The food was just finishing cooking when Azar walked in. Trael letting everything simmer together for a bit so that the flavors melded together better. He looked over to Azar in one of his hoodies and smiled at the sight of his man, “Morning, sleeping beauty.” He said to him as Azar mentioned the food smelling good. He lovingly gazed at him as he sat down asking about how long he slept, “A little over three hours.” He stated simply looking at his phone.

He walked over to the table as Azar whined about not telling him anything. He set his hands on the table and leaned across it to kiss him on the forehead, “We’re going to a planet in the Midrim.” He said as he pulled back, gazing into his eyes. He leaned in and gave him a kiss, which was cut short by an alarm on the stove. Trael let out a groan as he went and made them plates, sliding one to Azar.

Trael took the seat opposite Azar, looking down at his food. “This dish is a staple of my people’s cuisine. There’s almost as many variations as cities on Naboo.” He said giving Azar a quick bit of information on the dish. “This one is from Theed where I was born, it was my mother’s recipe as much as I could remember it.” He mused, “It’s my first time making it so we’ll both get to see if I did it right.” He said eating a fork full of the food, to Trael it was definitely delicious, but it wasn’t his mother’s. He let out a small sigh, he was hoping it’d have that taste of home he had started missing a lot recently.

Trael looked up to Azar, “What do you think?” He asked, curious if it was good or not to Azar. His boyfriend did request to taste all of his cuisine before Trael could tackle cooking Korribani food. So it was time for Trael to begin cooking things he had never done so before. He took another bit eying Azar curiously, “What do you think I’m planning for our trip?” He asked, he knew Azar likely had an assumption or two.

Azar affectionately returned the kiss when Trael leaned in. When the alarm rang, he snatched Trael by the front of his shirt, clearly not done kissing him just yet. When he had his fill he finally released his man, staring at him fondly, “You grow more handsome each time I see you,” He said with a swooning sigh as he traced a hand along Trael’s beard.

He rubbed his eyes and yawned again as Trael walked away. Azar looked visibly excited about trying food from Naboo. Normally their trips were scrambling to get places so they ate quick travel food instead of full course meals. Azar took a bite and practically moaned in delight, excitedly taking a few more.

“Babe this is exquisite,” He said as he savored the meal. Food was one of the few instances where Azar looked absolutely giddy like a child on Life Day. Food was the way to his heart and that became abundantly clear as he enjoyed the meal.

“A hike, of course,” Azar said with a scowl at Trael’s question, “But you’ll be pleased to know that I packed extra hiking boots, snow shoes, two artifact bags and seasons 1-7 of Bachelor In Paradise,” Azar announced proudly, “Oh and I even packed an eight person tent because I’m not doing bedrolls again,” He declared.

He finished his meal and poured them both some extra wine, “To the last nice meal we’ll eat before it’s all camping food,” Azar said gloomily as he held his glass up to toast with Trael.

Trael had pulled back to address the alarm but was prevented by Azar, though he didn’t protest, as he didn’t want to stop kissing him either. Azar eventually released him, Trael didn’t immediately pull away savoring the kissing a bit longer. He pulled away gazing at Azar, as his boyfriend called him handsome, a small smile on his face. “If you keep getting more beautiful I might question if being Sithari is equivalent to a god.” Trael mused, before turning to get the food before it burned.

Trael smiled fondly at Azar as he stated his food was exquisite, he wished he could take Azar to meet his parents, his mother would’ve loved him. “That’s great to hear. That means I’ll try making more dishes I’m unfamiliar with.” He said happily, taking a couple bites of the food. One thing he was looking forward to coming back to Naboo was the food. It had been so long since he had some that he didn’t cook.

Trael nodded his head sagely as Azar answered with a hike. It seemed his hunch on Azar preconceptions of Trael’s ‘trips’ was true. He listened as he broke down some of the things he brought, Trael knew Azar well enough to know there was more he didn’t get informed about. Two artifact bags? You really did prepare this time.” He chuckled amused, Trael couldn’t help but find the situation a bit funny, Azar did all this extra preparation for it to not be needed. He quirked a brow at Azar, “What’s wrong with bedrolls? They’re perfectly comfortable.” He said, unlike Azar, Trael could sleep on the ground if needed without complaint, though he would prefer not to.

Trael had quickly loaded the dishwasher while Azar got and poured them glasses of wine. Once he finished he took his glass raising it, “To the last good meal I will cook.” He said joining Azar in the toast. He drank the glass not wanting another one, “Put on something for us to watch I got to go to the bathroom quickly.” He said as he hurried into their room. He used the Force to quickly pull something from under the bed, it was a small box that was made to hold a necklace. He picked it up letting out a sigh to clear his nerves, I hope Azar likes this.

He made his way back out with the box in his hand, he set it down on the table as he sat on the couch next to Azar, “I got this for you.” He said motioning to the box. He fidgeted with his hands slightly as Azar opened it. Azar would see a necklace in the box. The gemstones would radiate a familiar Force signature, the very same as the one beside him, Trael’s. They were made of kyber crystals the Master had taken from Nal Hutta that day and locked in a deposit box for when he wanted to use them. The larger gems also contained a liquid in them, Azar being a blood sorcerer would be able to tell it was also Trael’s, “I wanted you to have me with you, regardless of how far apart we are.” He said sheepishly, as he watched Azar’s reaction.

Azar eyed Trael suspiciously when he said it was the last good meal he was going to cook. What other good meals were they going to encounter in some random desert or forest? Did Trael mean fruits and other nature things plucked directly from trees? Azar looked profoundly displeased, wondering what terrible idea of cuisine Trael had in mind for him. Azar wouldn’t put it past Trael to cook a snake he caught while hiking and call it fine dining…

He helped rinse off the dishes, preparing to place a frying pan on the top rack of the dishwasher till Trael politely told him he didn’t need to help. With a shrug, the Pureblood wandered over to the living room area to pick out a movie. Azar was in the mood for something sappy, so he selected The Datapad which was reputed to be pretty sap.

The Pureblood blinked when Trael set down the box and fidgeted around nervously. Azar stared for a moment before using the Force to call the box into his hand. Once he opened it, he gasped, smiling immediately, “Aww babe..look at this!” He said excitedly, tracing his fingers over the gems that hummed with energy. There was a familiarity to them and Azar smiled fondly when he remembered Nal Hutta. He had never seen jewelry made this way from kyber.

“This is so thoughtful, honey, I love it. Thank you!” Azar said, genuinely happy as he looked at Trael. He took his boyfriend’s face into his hands and leaned in to kiss him, drawing back after a moment to gaze into his eyes, “I love you,” He said softly to Trael. Azar immediately tried it on, letting Trael hook it in the back. Although it didn’t go with the hoodie at all, it very much worked with the Pureblood’s appearance and normal aesthetic.

“Now if only we were going somewhere nice where I could wear this,” Azar said as he gave Trael the side eye while unclasping the necklace to put it back in the box.

“Have you seen this movie before?” Azar asked as he got comfortable on the couch. This consisted of fluffing up some pillows, leaning against the armrest and throwing his bare legs across Trael’s lap while he took up all the space.

Trael watched with anticipation as Azar opened the gift. He was holding his breath until he saw the smile on Azar’s face, it made all the worry immediately disappear. He sat there fondly watching as Azar examined it and excitedly talked about it. Trael was likely annoying to the person he took it to, he practically lived in the shop till it was completed.

Trael was just smiling when Azar looked towards him, “You’re welcome, baby.” He said softly. He leaned into the kiss, savoring it and burning the sensation into memory. “I love you too.” He said warmly, gazing at Azar the only person for him. Trael helped Azar put it on, he struggled a bit clasping it with his larger fingers. He got it in shortly, looking at it and admiring how good it looked, “You look perfect.” He said under his breath gazing at Azar.

Trael didn’t miss the side eye or comment in the necklace. All it did was further reinforce that Azar hadn’t yet figured out the truth, and that was good. “You like to be prepared for all occasions, why not pack it as well that way you know you’re ready if we stumble upon a fancy dinner in the middle of the swamp.” He said throwing in a hint about a swamp to keep Azar off the trail.

Trael leaned back and started to get comfortable himself as Azar put his legs on him. He subconsciously began to trace along them as the movie began, “I’ve never seen it before, but I’ve heard it’s a great romance movie.” He mused as he watched the opening scenes. At first Trael only seemed half interested as it seemed to be a standard romance movie, but as it progressed he slowly got more and more into it. Even shedding tears at some of the sadder parts, though he worked to try and hide them from Azar.

At the end he sat in silence for a moment before looking at Azar, “Would you choose me if you were Allie?” He asked, curious if happy endings were only in the movies.

Azar was perfectly comfortable lying there and watching the movie. The feeling of Trael’s hands gently sliding along his legs only added to the comfort, making him feel as if he were home. He was in his safe place. As the movie began, he was completely hooked. Azar was eating it all up, but once or twice he could have sworn he saw his boyfriend sniffle or look away.

The Pureblood purposely didn’t call Trael out on it, keeping a smug grin on his face instead. By the end of it, he was quite certain his boyfriend was the only one that shed tears. Azar sighed in contentment after the movie ended, tugged from his thoughts at Trael’s question. He actually did a double take, wondering if he heard his man correctly.

Azar huffed, “Nope, you only wrote me one letter. Noah wrote one every day for a year,” He said. After a moment, he looked back at Trael and snickered, “You are such a sap, baby, I love it!” He quipped. Before Trael could say anything, he moved to sit on his lap, facing him. Azar draped his arms around Trael’s shoulders, gazing up at him, “I would be way too stubborn to ever be apart from you in the first place,” Azar finally answered, smiling tenderly.

Trael wasn’t entirely sure how his boyfriend would react to the question. Though the way he did threw him off slightly, “That’s not a fair comparison to make.” He huffed, “Noah had an address to send his directly too.” He said as a feeble attempt at a defense. Trael was starting to get worried when Azar looked at him and snickered. Azar called him a sap and before he could even say anything climbed into his lap.

Trael gazed down at Azar as he mentioned being too stubborn to be away from him. He smiled at his man before leaning down and giving him a kiss, his arms wrapping around him. After delving into his desire to kiss his man he pulled back gazing at him full of adoration, “I love you.” He said, standing up holding Azar. “We still have a few hours till we reach the world.” Trael said as he walked to their room.

He swiftly opened the door, closing it back after walking into the room. He made his way to the bed putting a knee on it as he crawled onto it before setting down Azar and kissing him. He moved down to kiss his neck before returning to gazing at him, “I think we’re a little overdressed.” He teased as he took his shirt off and threw it to the side.

Azar started giggling even more when Trael pouted and actually began to explain his circumstances compared to a movie character. He was always the type to take things literally and it never ceased to amuse Azar. The Pureblood was perfectly comfortable sitting on his lap and was considering simply remaining there to watch another movie. However, Travel soon rose up and took Azar with, his arms clinging to his man to hold on.

Azar tenderly returned the kiss and smiled at Trael, “I love you too,” He whispered before he was effortlessly carried to their room, “I barely just came out of there,” Azar said with a chuckle, referring to his very long nap. However, he wasn’t going to complain when his man wanted some attention. Azar was lost in their kissing moments before his oversized hoodie was casually tossed off, “What, did all that sap and crying get you in the mood?” He asked with a teasing smirk, highly entertained. Trael’s own attire was discarded soon enough and Azar took a moment to kiss along his torso and trace his hands over the tattoos he had come to admire, “Do they tell your story?” Azar asked softly as he kissed along a particular one on his chest. He kept tracing kisses down his torso, sliding off the last bit of Trael's clothing. After a coy look up at Trael, he kissed down Trael's stomach, down his lower abdomen and further down still. It wasn't long before he purposely lingered and teased with his mouth dangerously close to touching him. After a few agonizing moments he finally took the plunge, pleasing Trael in all the ways he knew. The Pureblood had come to understand just what Trael liked, and he took his time to get him close to the edge.

He drew back then, slipping out of Trael’s grasp to roll onto his stomach. He was left in nothing but frilly, lacy black underwear that teasingly fit around his rear. His back was lined with text written in ur-kittat, and his shoulder blade was etched with the tattoo Vossari had carved there. His toned back dipped into an arch, his lower back accented with beautiful Venus dimples. He was propped up on his elbows, playfully swinging his lower legs back and forth behind him.

“Are you going to top your meal off by eating some dessert?” He asked teasingly as he looked over his shoulder and back up at Trael from his rather suggestive position. Azar knew just the kind of eyes to make to get his man’s blood running hot, and the multiple entendres in his question wasn’t lost on him.

Trael rolled his eyes when Azar teased about the sap and crying getting him in the mood, “Yup, had nothing to do with you being in my lap.” He replied sarcastically. Azar kissing along his torso caused Trael’s desire for the Pureblood to become very evident. “Most tell my story, others were sent to me in visions.” He answered as Azar kissed along his tattoos. Trael’s gaze followed Azar as he kissed his way down his body. The anticipation was quickly building in Trael as Azar purposefully lingered teasingly. After a few moments of pure agonizing waiting Azar finally continued on, taking Trael on a euphoric trip as he pleased him in all the ways he liked.

As Trael was nearing the edge Azar pulled away. He sat up trying to catch him as Azar rolled over. His gaze looked upon the image of Azar lying there with his legs swinging, he stopped and took it in for a second. It served to increase the amount of desire he was feeling currently. He admired Azar’s body until he was drawn out of it by Azar’s comment.

Trael quirked an eyebrow as Azar was looking back at him. The look the Pureblood gave only drove him even more wild. “I’ve always been a fan of dessert.” Trael said as he debated how to enjoy his dessert. It wasn’t a long debate before he was taking off the frilly barrier between him and enjoying his evening fully. He fully delved in and gave in to his desires. He took his time to ensure that he enjoyed and savored this time he had with Azar. He made sure to do the things he had learned Azar favored, intent on making sure that they both enjoyed their time together.

The two of them were tangled up in each other’s arms, a sweaty and slightly scratched up heap. Shortly after the ships alerts for dropping out of hyperspace went off and it lurched from the exit. Trael groaned as he began to get free of Azar, “The planet has a warm and wet climate, akin to a tropical world almost.” He explained as he walked into the bathroom and took a quick shower. He threw on an outfit for a summer on Naboo.

While Azar took his time getting ready Trael went into the cockpit and made sure the droid pilot was capable of handling everything. Trael was so used to being the pilot that he couldn’t fully trust in someone else’s flying droid or not. Azar would come out to likely a surprise, Trael had no bag, no weapons, and didn’t look like he was planning a battle. Instead he was on the ramp having a debate with someone in Nabooian. It would be a shock to the pureblood his usually calm boyfriend was shouting and waving his hand around as he argued, Trael let out a loud sigh as he cursed out at the person walking away.

Azar pouted when Trael slid out of bed instead of staying to cuddle. The Pureblood was not big on cuddling, but he had grown fond of the gesture with Trael, “The droid can land the ship,” He reminded his boyfriend with a growl, though he knew it was useless. Trael would settle for nothing less than hovering over the pilot droid until they safely landed. Azar resumed his nap, not wanting to move for a while after their lovemaking.

After they landed, Azar finally woke up, stretched and decided to shower and get dressed. He really wanted to impress his man this time, so he emerged ready for a hike. He was in full gear including a rainproof jacket, hat, practical boots and he even had his own pack to carry. Not only that, but he had trekking poles in his gloved hands fully ready for a strenuous hike.

“I’m ready!” He announced with a smile, hoping Trael would be incredibly proud of Azar for making such an effort for once. Normally they spent an embarrassing amount of time bickering over the Pureblood’s impractical clothing for missions.

To Azar’s shock, Trael was nowhere near dressed for a mission or hike. Azar walked closer to catch the tail end of his normally reserved and even-tempered man verbally lashing out at someone. He couldn’t understand a word of what he was saying, but the dramatic hand gestures and expressions told him he was distressed. Azar briefly considered snapping the neck of the other person that dared irritate Trael to this degree, but he didn’t act just yet, walking over to stand next to him. The Pureblood was well aware of his own tendency for theatrics and making situations worse, so he would let Trael handle this.

“What was that about?” Azar asked, blinking. It was then that he took a harder look at Trael’s clothing and lack of weapons or backpack, “Wait.. why am I the only one ready?” He blurted out, confused. He found his gaze lingering, not used to Trael dressing like this. Normally the man dressed strictly for missions or wandered around shirtless on the ship. This was a treat.

Trael was yelling out at the other man. He had dared insult Trael’s ship by saying it was completely outclassed by the Naboo designed and manufactured J-type Nubian. Which wasn’t wrong, but the fact that his ship was a gift from Azar meant he had to defend it regardless. So a heated argument had ensued because of it. Trael was muttering under his breath in Nabooian when Azar asked about the argument. “He wa…” He said as he turned, trailing off at the sight of Azar’s outfit.

It was then that he quickly realized that Azar had truly believed this was a hiking trip. Trael was at a loss for words till Azar quipped about how only he was the one ready, “Well you definitely prepared this time. Makes me wish we were actually hiking.” Trael said sheepishly as he slowly backed away from Azar preparing for a potential outburst, “We’re on Naboo for a festival.” He elaborated, “There wasn’t any hiking to be done, unless you count walking in Theed.” He said as the man he was arguing with came back with a speeder. Trael had gotten it so that they could drive to the part of the city the festival was held and not subject Azar to an abundance of walking on their date. Before Azar had a chance to have an outburst Trael had an ace, “While we’re here you’ll get to have all the authentic food that I cook you could ever want. And some of the fine clothing.” Whether his gambit would play off or not was to be seen.

Once Azar went and got himself changed and ready, Trael once again got into a heated debate with the other man. This time over the recent huttball tournament match. The starport worker was adamant that it was rigged that a single player could wipe the team not once but multiple rounds. While Trael was trying to get him to understand how terribly the team that had Ayomi and Connor on it. They quickly devolved back into yelling and throwing insults in Nabooian at each other and this would be the sight Azar once again walks out too.

“We’re….not hiking?” Azar repeated very slowly. There was nothing but innocent confusion on his face. When Trael slowly stepped back, realization dawned on Azar. It was a slow and progressive transformation from a smile and a cheerful demeanor to rage. Trael would see this transition in real time as his boyfriend began to fume, “We’re. Not. Hiking?” Azar repeated through gritted teeth, “You brought me to Naboo and didn’t think to tell me for the first time you’re actually taking me somewhere nice?” His voice got progressively louder as rage swirled within him. The Force pulsed powerfully and it was to where even the guy that brought the speeder along would shut up and gawk.

“I COULD HAVE PACKED SO MANY NICE CLOTHES AND DONE UP MY HAIR AND YOU DIDN’T THINK TO TELL ME?” He shrieked as he hurled his stupid trekking poles at Trael. Azar plopped down on the ground and started to untie his boots right there, “I WOULDN’T HAVE WORN THESE STUPID SHOES! DON’T YOU MOVE, YOU STAY RIGHT THERE!” After a few minutes he finally had one boot untied and he promptly hurled it at Trael.

“I FINALLY DRESS CORRECTLY AND YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO NOT GO HIKING! I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU, TRAEL OSSO!”
Azar yelled at the top of his lungs as he threw his gloves and hat at different corners of the ship, having a complete temper tantrum. It was a miracle he was able to curb Force use and keep from crushing the ship.

Azar caught the man with the speeder staring vacantly and he chucked his other boot at the man just for good measure before spinning on his heel to storm off to change. The man ducked as the boot flew over his head. He rose back up and burst out laughing, watching the Pureblood disappear into the ship.

‘Is that your fiery missus you told the boys about?’ The man called out to Trael in Nabooian, whistling as he shook his head and chuckled some more, pulling up a cigarra to smoke while he waited for the couple. He knew Trael for years running random odd jobs with the other man and they had mutual friends. Trael moved onto bigger and better things, he remained at the spaceport still running the same gigs.

Azar emerged a while later dressed for a nice festival. His hair was styled and he wore a much tighter outfit complete with luxury brand shoes. He gave Trael a seething glare, his arms crossed over his chest as he strutted towards the speeder. His boyfriend was getting the silent treatment and cold shoulder.

The speeder driver quickly straightened up and opened the door for Azar, his gaze involuntarily darting to the Pureblood’s ass. Trael would catch him openly staring with a mixture of wonder and confusion on how a man could have such a divine rear.

Azar didn’t notice any of this, glancing out the window and glaring at nothing as they prepared to drive into the city.

Trael watched as Azar’s expression slowly shifted. The progressive increase in the volume of Azar’s voice was like a winding alarm slowly making its way to full volume. I’m about to have a bad day. Trael was preparing for an outburst, but he failed to anticipate hiking poles coming at him before shoes. He tried to grab them out of the air but failed and they just unceremoniously flopped on the ground as he basically slapped them. He started to walk away slowly again when Azar screeched at him to stop moving, causing him to freeze as if playing red light green light. He knew he could try to reason with Azar but the Pureblood was in full tantrum mode, it was better to simply shut up and let him continue on.

That was when the boot came hurling at him, he dodged out of the way letting it slam against the wall. Trael was partially in disbelief at Azar’s last comment, was he admitting to looking forward to a hike? Trael was astonished, though he refused to bring it up now. He watched where the gloves and hat were thrown to so he could collect it all, he’d hate to have another potential meltdown over lost clothing. Finally as a last act to prove he wasn’t happy he attacked Victor, one of Trael’s few friends from his childhood. He was one of the few people beside his mom that didn’t view his Force sensitivity as some form of curse. Ok this isn’t Dragon shit level, but it’s above not saying thank you level. This will be the not informed of dressing up level.

As Azar stormed off Trael collected the gloves, hat and one boot, putting them together. He made his way out to Victor, ‘Yes, now where did that other boot go?’ He answered in Nabooian as he searched behind the speeder. Once he found it he promptly put it with the other items. Victor just sat there laughing while this was happening, he was enjoying watching the chill nonchalant friend he knew worry about a boot. ‘The others will love meeting your partner if this continues. I know I have.’ He said before bursting into another bout of laughter. Trael let out a sigh, he was terrified of the prospect of dealing with an upset Azar and his buddies messing with him.

Azar soon emerged looking amazing like he always did. Trael couldn’t help but to admire his man, “You look beautiful darling.” He said, trailing off as Azar walked past him. Great, he was getting the silent treatment. Great. Trael caught Victor staring at Azar’s ass, the man turning to catch Trael cocking an eyebrow while slightly glaring. ‘It’s not like that. It just, caught me off guard.’ He sheepishly said to Trael in Nabooian. He then got in the drivers seat. Trael got in the seat next to Azar, he glanced over as the Pureblood glared out the window. ‘Take us to Mama Dolce’s restaurant. Also let’s speak basic from here on out so he can understand.’ Trael said to his friend. Victor nodded and began driving them into Theed. He looked over to Azar, “We’re going to go eat at his mom’s restaurant. She cooks the best Ossobuco I’ve ever had.” Trael said with a hint of wonder.

The spaceport was below the city under a cliffside. Luckily Trael had told Victor to take the scenic route when he called him to help set everything up. The ride took them along the cliffs till they got to the city. “How long have you had to put up with this piece of work?” He asked out loud, “We’ve been buddies for going on 16 years now. I’d run if I was you after 5 years you’re stuck, trust me I know.” Victor said with a chuckle, Trael was almost beginning to think it wasn’t going to be too bad having his friends all helping out. Now, he was realizing his mistake.

After a few minutes they pulled up to a simple looking restaurant, the sign read in basic ‘Mama Dolce’s Homemade Naboo cuisine’. Trael seemed to light up at the sight. “Does your mom still run the restaurant?” He asked Victor realizing he didn’t think to ask earlier. “She’ll run this place till she dies. You know that.” Victor replied with a scoff, ‘Ma Trael has come to visit with his boyfriend!’ Victor called out in Nabooian as they walked in. An old lady came hurrying out the kitchen with a dirty apron, ‘Oh look at you! So tall and handsome!’ She called out at the sight of Trael, ‘Mama Dolce it’s great to see you! You look like a young lady.’ Trael said greeting the elderly lady. His voice betrayed a sense of fondness. Her eyes darted to his tattoos seeming to catch one in particular, ‘They would be proud that you are finally moving on. Now sit and tell me what you want!’ She said excitedly as she ushered the trio to a table. Trael and Victor both ordered the Ossobruco. Trael then looked to Azar, “Do you want the Ossobruco or something you’re more familiar with?” He asked Azar after ordering. Once Azar told him what he wanted he’d relay it to Mama Dolce and the elderly lady would make her way back into the kitchen. The sounds of dishes clinging and food cooking coming out.

When Trael complimented him on his outfit, Azar couldn’t keep a straight face. He walked faster so his boyfriend couldn’t see the smile threatening to break free. Azar was a sucker for compliments on his appearance and his evil boyfriend knew just what to say. The Pureblood kept his face turned in the other direction so Trael couldn’t see through his paper thin facade of anger.

At the mention of food, Azar was even more excited, but he was still too stubborn to act like he was done with the silent treatment. He didn’t respond to anything, gazing forward with a grumpy expression on his face. When Victor asked the question, Azar was caught off guard. They had been talking in Nabooian and between this and the explanation Trael gave about the restaurant Azar pieced together this was someone that knew his man. The Pureblood suddenly sat up straight and attentive, “Long enough for him to know just how to push all my buttons,” Azar said with a huff as he cast a side glare at Trael, “Since we appear to be taking the scenic route, wouldn’t you kindly share some of Trael’s most embarrassing stories?” Azar asked sweetly so Victor could see his pretty smile if he looked in the rearview mirror.

Azar was in awe of the landscapes and beauty that surrounded them. The purple colors of the ISC were everywhere, along with President Thorne’s face plastered across multiple billboards they passed. The Pureblood focused on the stunning mountains and waterfalls, used to either deserts or concrete jungles. Naboo was even more breathtaking than anything he read about.

Once they arrived, Azar didn’t miss the familiarity between Trael and the elderly woman. The fondness Trael expressed drew out a smile. Azar knew his man to be more of a loner, so to come across people that knew him and his personal bubble meant this was a very special gesture. It was even enough to make him temporarily forget that he was supposed to be giving Trael the silent treatment.

“Um, I’ll have the Ossobo..ro..co..” Azar trailed off, having no clue how to pronounce it, “I’ll have whatever you are having,” He said.

At one point, Mama Dolce poked her head out of the kitchen and waved a spoon while addressing Trael, ‘Now we had no idea you liked men!’ She quipped, ‘I would have set you up with Victor’s cousin back in the day. Lord knows that boy can’t find anyone other than trashy men...so which one of you is the girl and which is the boy?' She squinted as she looked at Azar with his perfectly styled hair, manicured nails, long eyelashes and lip gloss, 'Never mind I can guess.'

Victor coughed and had his drink come out of his nose. Azar blinked in confusion, offering some napkins, 'Not how it works, ma, we've been through this with my cousin. They're both the guy,' Victor said before shooting Trael an apologetic glance.

“So how did you two meet?” Victor asked loudly in Basic to Trael and Azar, strongly hinting at his mother to shut up.

Trael looked at Azar with a confident smile, “There’s no embarrassing stories to tell.” He proclaimed simply. He wasn’t worried about Victor telling any of the bad ones. Victor would never tell those. Victor let out a scoff, “Oh? What about the summer when we were 15. The time you snuck into the pala..” Before Victor could finish Trael cut him off, “We had an agreement.” Trael reminded him through gritted teeth. Victor simply shrugged, “Like I was saying. When we were 15 Trael had a thing going on with another noble families daughter. Now in his infinite wisdom he decided to keep it all hidden from his and the other family.” He explained, “Well one night he snuck into the palace to meet up with her. Genius used the Force to get in unseen and everything. While he was meeting with this girl, her dad comes to her room. I got there to help him get out. He comes running out with his shirt off boxers torn and he was covered in shit. Apparently when he tried to escape he decided to try and use an exploding toilet as a distraction and ended up blowing it up all over himself instead.” Victor said as he howled in laughter, “I swear your father looked like he was ready to pop every vein in his head.” He added as he continued laughing.

Trael wasn’t remotely prepared for Mama Dolce’s questions. He turned to her quickly after she mentioned Victors cousin, ‘I wouldn’t ever date him. He’s not my type.’ He quipped back. Shen then asked about which was the boy or girl, Trael went to respond before she said never mind and he just face palmed shaking his head. ‘You’d think she’d learn with your cousin getting with any man he could.’ Trael said shaking his head. His comment made Victor almost shoot his drink out of his nose again, ‘He isn’t that bad. Anymore.’ He said, ‘Ma is right though, you never seemed the type to swing that way. What changed?’ Victor inquired, out of his childhood friend group Victor was the one he was closest with. It’s partly why the man didn’t ask earlier, but the question couldn’t be restrained for long. ‘I’d say nothing changed. I just found someone I love, gender didn’t play a part in it.’ Trael said with a shrug. Victor just gave a soft smile and nod seeming pleased with the answer.

Mama Dolce was luckily quieted by Victors question, the elderly lady was curious herself on the answer. She might be nosey and say what she wanted but she had always treated Trael as family. “Technically on a job to find a dragon on Arkania.” Trael said, “But we didn’t truly talk to each other till much later at a party on Nar Shaddaa. Everyday since has felt like it was a blessing to have actually got to know each other.” Trael answered truthfully, he felt at his best when he was with Azar. ‘Listen to him! He’s in love! Why can’t you meet someone and settle down like Trael? I want to see you happy before I die Victor.’ Mama Dolce called out from the kitchen, Trael couldn’t help but to chuckle. Victor on the other hand was not as amused, ‘It’s not that easy Ma! I have to find someone first.’ Victor grumbled back.

It wasn’t long till Mama Dolce came out with the food. Trael and Victor both thanked her as she put down the plate. They both immediately began to dig in. That’s when the bell on the door rang and two other guys walked in. They all scanned the room till their gaze settled on their table. All of them went wide eyed as they did, ‘He really did come back!’ They both called out walking over to Trael, ‘Whose the red guy? Where’s your old lady you were telling us about?’ They asked him when they got to the table. Victor was clearing his throat from almost choking on his food at the questions. Trael let out a sigh, ‘He is my lady.’ Trael replied as he looked at them. Their eyes looked like they were about to bust out of their head, ‘He! You? Nooo. Really?’ They said in unison in disbelief, ‘You didn’t go for dudes our entire childhood. This isn’t just a joke right?’ They asked, Trael once again sighed and Victor was loving every second of this. ‘It’s not a joke. He is my boyfriend. Is that a problem?’ Trael asked his tone getting stern as he was slightly annoyed at the lack of belief, ‘Its not a problem at all bro. We’re just surprised is all.’ The two dudes said before going and gossiping with Mama Dolce.

The two others ordered and sat at a table near them but stayed amongst themselves for now. Victor looked over to Trael, ‘Are you going to see her?’ He asked his tone more serious. Trael looked at him, ‘I have to. But that’s for tomorrow. Today I have something more important to do.’ He said with a smile as his gaze turned to Azar, “How much longer till the festival starts?” He asked Victor, “About two hours, but we have to get through all the people also going to it. We should probably head out soon.” Victor said as he checked his watch.

Azar smiled at Trael’s response to Victor’s question, his face growing hot with a tinge of purple. He reached his hand over to grasp Trael’s, giving it a firm squeeze. When the food arrived, Azar was quick to dig in, always a fan of intergalactic cuisine. Something about the cooking style briefly reminded him of his own mother, and he fondly recalled memories of stealing ingredients in the kitchen while she cooked. Despite being royalty, she insisted on cooking - something Nana Kreshh always found puzzling.

The Pureblood paid no heed to the constant chit chat in Nabooian, though it did make him feel completely out of place. He couldn’t participate in the dialogue, but he sat there politely eating his meals. When the other two men walked in, he didn’t miss the way they looked at him and then looked to Trael, once again carrying on a conversation in a language he didn’t understand. Once the men began to walk away, however, Azar decided he had enough.

“Azar. My name is Azar,” He said as he stood up and looked from the men to Trael, “If you’re going to talk about me while I’m right here, have the decency to introduce me,” He said with a tone of ice as he looked at his boyfriend.

“Thank you for the meal,” Azar said politely with a nod towards Mama Dolce as he tossed a fat stash of credits on the table for the meal. His food was only half eaten as he finished off his drink and walked out of the restaurant. If Trael followed him out, Azar would turn to glare at him.

“I’m not a prop, Trael,” He said sternly, “If these people are important to you, why wouldn’t you introduce me to them? Why wouldn’t you let me be a part of the conversations? I wouldn’t treat you with so much disrespect if you came with me to Korriban. I would make everyone see that you’re my partner and that you’re important to me. You let those idiots waltz in, badmouth me and then walk right past me without even introducing me or speaking in Basic,” Azar said, the hurt clear in his voice. He had killed people for less and he bristled at allowing the slight to pass now, “I can tolerate a lot of things because I love you, but I will not tolerate disrespect,” He firmly reminded Trael, “Do not forget who and what I am,” He said with a glare.

Azar had wanted to make a good first impression on Trael’s inner circle, but he wasn’t going to do it at the cost of his own self respect. Irritated, he pulled up his EZPhone to try and hail a private charter shuttle to get him off the planet.

Trael was swept up in the moment of being around those closest to him. He was unaware of how much Nabooian they were speaking and that Azar was left out of the conversation. That was until after Alfio and Moré had questioned him about Azar, when his man stood up. He looked over as Azar introduced himself and turned his gaze to Trael. Azar regarded him with an icy tone, he had forgotten to introduce him beyond saying he was his boyfriend.

Trael got up to follow Azar as he stormed out when he was stopped by Mama Dolce, ‘You’re forgetting something, son.’ She called out as she grabbed the credits from the table and handed them to Trael, ‘Mama it’s for the meal.’ Trael replied trying to give them back to her. She kept putting them in his hand before slapping it, ‘What did I tell you when you first came to me starved and abandoned by that heinous woman who calls herself your aunt?’ She asked, ‘I don’t remember.’ Trael replied in a sigh not wanting to waste time, ‘Family eats free. He is the first person that you’ve been involved with that you told me about. He must be special to you for that. Anyone you see that special is family.’ She said to him with a smile before shooing him off. She then turned to the other two that joined late, ‘I don’t remember raising men that didn’t introduce themselves to guests.’ She said with a hint of anger. The two men begun to beg her and apologize profusely as she slowly walked towards them with a wooden spoon.

Trael walked out of the restaurant and immediately got a glare from Azar. “I know you aren’t a prop.” He quickly replied. He then listened as Azar began to dig into him about how he had been acting. His eyes lowered as he went on. His gaze did dart up as he mentioned the two bad mouthing him, the conversation was about him but they didn’t bad mouth him. They weren’t anticipating Trael to be with a dude and handled the situation poorly. Azar reminded him he wouldn’t take disrespect, and that he shouldn’t forget who he is.

Trael pulled the phone from Azar’s hands and grabbed them with his own, “You’re right. I should’ve properly introduced you when we first arrived at the restaurant. I should’ve strove to make the conversation in basic so you could understand. I allowed myself to get caught up in being back home again. I’m sorry.” He said genuinely feeling bad about neglecting Azar in the way he had, “Those two didn’t bad mouth you though they are idiots. They assumed that my partner was a woman and were surprised to find out it was you. Everyone does know you’re special to me and that we’re together.” He explained wanting to clear up the confusion that existed due to the conversations being in a language unknown to Azar. He let go of Azar’s hands and brushed his face with one, “I could never forget who and what you are. You’re Azar Kressh, King of Korriban, Sith Lord Arcanos, member of the Sith Council and most important of all the most important person in my life.” He said kissing his forehead. He handed him back the credits he paid for the meal with, “Mama Dolce wanted me to inform you that family eats free. So since you’re family paying wasn’t necessary.” He said with a soft smile. He handed him back his phone, “Let’s go back inside so I can actually introduce you to everyone.” He said wanting to try and right the wrongs he did.

If Azar agreed to go back in they would open the door to the two men standing there waiting. They would both bow in front of Trael and Azar, “We are sorry for not properly introducing ourselves. You are a guest of Traels and we should’ve afforded you the proper courtesy.” They both said quickly, Trael scanned the room to see Mama Dolce watching with her arms crossed and a satisfied look on her face. He knew extremely well what that meant, “I’ll handle the introductions like I should’ve. Everyone this is my boyfriend Azar. These three are Victor, Alfio, and Moré. Victor is Mama Dolce’s biological son. Me, Alfio and Moré were taken in by her when we had nowhere else to go.” He said breaking down his relationship with the three guys. “Mama Dolce took me in after I lost my family. My aunt who was given temporary leadership of the family due to me being a child abandoned me and called me a monster. She quickly became a mother figure and I regard her as one, especially since she’s always treated me as her own son.” He explained. Trael didn’t just bring Azar to his home, but he also brought him to meet the people he had grown to consider his family.

Azar pouted as Trael the EZPhone from his hand. If anyone outside of he or Vossari tried that, they would become ash where they stood. The Pureblood’s rage began to subside as Trael took his hands into his own, calmly explaining the situation and apologizing. He knew the man well enough to tell when he was genuine, and he could tell Trael truly didn’t realize where he went wrong at first. Azar’s anger slowly melted away.

He was about to protest going back, but Trael reminded him that he really wanted to make things right. Azar sighed and nodded, allowing his man to lead him back inside. From the way the two men inside quickly snapped to attention and greeted him, Azar had a suspicion that they were disciplined. His gaze flicked over to Mama Dolce, drawing parallels between her and Nana Kressh when the family acted out of turn. The realization drew out a faint smile - Nanas were the same everywhere though he guessed Mama Dolce was not as bad about mortifying her family members.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you all,” Azar said with a smile, “Thank you for welcoming me here and for the wonderful meal.”

Things went much smoother from then on and soon enough Azar and Mama Dolce talking about different embroidery designs and other fashion topics. The two hit it off exceptionally well, moving onto discussing different types of cuisine.

“You should be proud,” Azar said at one point, stealing a glance towards Trael sitting across the room and catching up with his buddies, “You have raised a wonderful man I’m proud to call mine,” The Pureblood said with a fond smile, “Don’t let him hear me say that,” He added with a chuckle as he looked back at Mama Dolce.
