Alika slid off her bike and powered the thing down, ignoring stares from the noise and angry people peering out of windows. It was late night, but she couldn't do anything about the noise and didn't precisely care. She lifted up the pouch to a saddlebag and retrieved a small package, spinning it around and tucking it under a shoulder, moving on to unclip her helmet from her chin and fastening it to her seat before taking out her key to the swoop bike.

She looked around to make sure nobody was looking to steal her bike, helmet, or anything else from her, then flicked her hair out of her face with a hand, stepping onto the sidewalk. The streets were basically empty this time of night, which meant she could get away with delivering packages relatively stress and sweat free, without the hassle of random people trying to steal her Force damned lunch money. A few blocks down the line was where she had to go--then back to the bike and out of here.

Hopefully without much interference from bums that she knew all too well from these parts--plus she got a quick credit from this, too.

Who cared about community service, anyways?

It was a boring assignment, Corellia, not because it was quiet but because it was so damned busy. Other planets had tip lines and they would ring once or twice a day - Corellia had hundreds of calls every single day and there was nothing to be done about half of them because half of them were utter nonsense.

The other half were either multiple reports about the same event or were actually valid.

When reports had come in of suspicious characters making suspicious deliveries, Eddard was sent. And who did he happen to find skulking around during the dead of night?

"Was driving a taxi not your speed?" He called out as he stepped out of the darkness ahead of her, "You seem to have moved up in the galaxy... No longer a taxi driver. But what are you now then?"

He tilted his head to one side, as if listening out for her response before she actually gave it. Instead he just sighed a little bit.

"Are you going to tell me what you're actually doing?" He asked her simply, tapping one of the lightsabers at his side, "Not using an umbrella this time..."

Which would have sounded very weird to anyone else he was sure.

Alika froze in her tracks as a voice far too familiar for her own good came from the shadows. Shit. Just...shit. She stood up slightly straighter and moved the package to balance between her hands, fingers once again working overtime to accentuate her nervous habits. If only she wasn't so frisky, maybe she could hide her kriffing intentions and suspicious behavior better. But this was Corellia. Why was the Sith here, not on Coruscant? She squared her stance toward the Sith that had saved both of their lives as she pursed her lips, swaying back and forth in very similar fashion to a red haired friend that could very easily be the only person to match her hyperactivity.

Her eyes flicked to his rather large and menacing lightsaber on his hip and then redirected their attention to the ground. Her speeder was a few meters back, but she knew she wouldn't get that far even if she was lucky. Which she certainly wasn't. Her grip tightened around the package as she nodded, trying to get her voice to work. Damn it. What was her issue? Normally she was a chatterbox, but...kriff, this was not her da. Heat rose in her cheeks as she spoke.

"I'm de..livering a package. On Corellia. Why, what are you doing?"

Brilliant. Not exactly a lie, cause she was pretty sure he had some kind of ethereal ability to detect lies.

She was just as nervous as the last time they had met, if not more so. Once again, Eddard was convinced that she had something to hide but just what was something of a mystery. He unhooked his lightsaber and held it in his right hand but he didn't ignite it as he took a few steps closer, reducing the distance between the two of them.

Tilting his head to the side, yellow eyes looked her over intently.

She was armed, he assumed, even if he couldn't see what she was armed with right now. No one ever walked around Corellia, alone, at night without some kind of a weapon. Especially someone who was, as she said, delivering a package.

"And what, pray tell, is in the package?"

He narrowed his eyes but his lips quirked up into something of a smile.

"Me?" His other hand unclipped his other lightsaber and, again, he held them both loosely in his hands without igniting them, "Just going for a walk - you know how it is."

Eddard was still walking towards her and now there wasn't more than ten feet between them.

"So - are you going to give me the package? Or am I going to have to ask impolitely?"

The same cold chills that Alika had been through when she had been running a taxi now tingled her spine as she took a half step back with her right foot. Her brain practically screamed 'run' when in fact she shouldn't have been so fearful of a friendly neighborhood Sith. Of course, any other person hadn't come a few eyebrow hairs close to getting their asses reduced to ash because of suspected crimes or the like. The package got heavier in her hand as she reached a hand to her collar and fixed it around her neck, almost glad that she had worn the jacket without her unit's insignia on the shoulder before realizing that, indeed, she was flying the rebel colors in full force. Kriff. She just had to hope that he didn't know every single unit ever created in the Alliance, or at least find a way to lie her way out of trouble if absolutely necessary.

Kaz swallowed air from a very dry mouth as the second lightsaber was drawn, looking down at the destructive devices before flicking her eyes back up to the yellow pupils glaring at her. There was no emotion there--maybe humor, or something similar that Sith possessed. She slowly lifted up the package, having no good idea of what was inside of it and hoping it was nothing severe that would get her into trouble. The last three had been blaster parts and energy cells--easily played off as junk. Issue was, this was much lighter. That was good or very, very bad.

Maybe a holiday present or something. Alika slowly held it out, turning a lighter shade of pale.

"I'd hate for things to be uncivil. To be honest, I have no idea what's in these packages--just deliver and go, right?"

But she had a pretty good idea of what was stuffed in the wrapping. And it wasn't exactly roses and good news if she was handing it over to an Imperial official.

"Put away the laser swords now, maybe?"

Eddard continued to move closer to the woman in question, closing the distance between the two of them with his head tilted to one side slightly. He was channelling the Force, using it to check for any threats he couldn't actually see straight away. It could be used in other ways as well but he would hold off on that for now. His mouth moved slightly, the corner twitching up in what could, charitably, be called a smirk.

He kept the lightsaber in his right hand but relented a little bit - putting his left lightsaber back on his belt. Again the motion of his mouth that could charitably be called a smile.

"Indeed - let's keep it civil. I've put one away and I'll take the package." he agreed, "We've all heard the expression about shooting messengers after all."

He was less than a foot away from her now and he reached out to take the package with his free hand - except instead of taking the package he would grab her hand and the small package in the grip of his free hand, pulling her closer, off balance, as he ignited his lightsaber in the opposite hand, thrusting it towards the centre of her chest, the length of the ignited blade inches from her before he pulled on her hand and now even closer. She should have no chance to dodge with the forward momentum and surprise lightsaber ignition.

He would plunge his lightsaber forwards as he pulled her further onto his blade, the aim being to stab straight through her heart and out her back before pulling the saber out of her body to the right, cutting through her spine and left lung.

Alika already didn't like the way this was going as the Sith stepped in. She imemdiately knew things were going bad as he grabbed her hand, darkness falling on her eyes as she got pulled in close and the sound--the sound of a lightsaber blade--all too familiar from holovids and the like. The glow blinked on the bottom of her eyes as she looked him in the eye and reached for the handle, hoping to grab something, anything, save her life for a brief moment longer. All she could do at this point was lessen the blow and take a saber to the chest, seeing the world slow down as she realized how kriffed this was. She instinctively tried to spring back in his grasp, much like avoiding a punch as the blade sunk into her chest just under the heart. Stars formed in her eyes as the burn rose to an unbearable degree--but no more. All she had done was spared herself from a quicker death.

The package fell from her hand--contents of which she'd likely never find out--oddly the only thing she was worried about besides her swoop bike. She gasped as the saber exited her back, the burning something she equated to getting shocked to death during the race that gave her a second chance at life, only not all over her body and singeing her skin. The tears came next. Those she hadn't expected to come, at least not now after she should have expected such a fate. Maybe it was the audacity of it. A second chance wasted on something so petty as a package delivery. But there were worse fates. At least it wasn't a mugger she hardly knew. A hand ran up to the arm that had stabbed her through and she grabbed it as her mind began to blank from the pain. The key to the bike stuck to his coat from her hand as she fell, at least feeling some satisfaction that she knew where it COULD end up with. Not necessarily an ally, yet someone that she knew. Her mind took some solace in that as she cursed whatever decision had been made that had killed her.

"Don't lose these. I-I'll be pissed."

And as such, whatever air she had left was gone. Perhaps.

Eddard didn't take pleasure in this killing - he wasn't the type to take pleasure in any killing really - he was, in fact, a little bit disappointed that he hadn't been able to give her a quick death either. She managed to move enough to prolong her suffering but she was still mortally wounded.

Without a word he carefully took the package from her hand and placed it in his pocket for now. Then, when she pressed her speeder keys to him, he caught them as well.

She would be pissed?

"No you won't." he promised her, "You're going to rest now - no anger or anything else. Just sleep."

He moved his lightsaber, cutting through her body to free his blade, ending her life completely with the simple move. Letting her body fall to the ground slowly, he deactivated his lightsaber and clipped it to his belt. With that done he opened the small package and frowned, leafing through anti-imperial propaganda. Such a thing was treason and treason was punishable by death, but if she was this involved she was probably trusted with more.

She might have been more valuable alive, even if her treason was enough to condemn her to die.

Putting the evidence away, Eddard picked up the body and moved over to the speeder bike that he supposed he now owned. Securing the body on the bike, he peeled off to drive back to the Imperial Intelligence base on this damned planet, to turn in both her body and the evidence of treason he had found.
