Meeko was tired. Well, not really, considering he was a droid, but he needed to charge. So he had landed on this planet…oh, who knew what it was! It had been very confusing when he had been shot at, too. Thankfully he had enabled his shield, so he was in one piece. With a clang he landed on a ledge below a window. His sensors detected some distant voice and activity, but he didn't think anything of it. Beeping, Meeko popped up his head and looked in through the glass.

(OOC: Meeko just landed at a Jedi Temple. Open for any Jedi to look out the window and wonder why the heck a Vulture Droid is looking at them. Also, for anyone wondering how he got through security, he hasn't. Just wait for the chaos…)

Linny yawned as she looked up from her desk. Studying was about all she seemed to do these days. Study, then practice saber forms, then help tend to the Temple. Since the Crusaders had taken off on their missions, the whole place had an empty, stagnant feel to it. Just as if everybody was going through the motions, hoping things would get better...

She felt her eyes starting to close, just as...

CLANG!

She jumped out of her chair in a start, looking around nervously. It'd come from the window of her dorm room. Grabbing her heftiest datapad, Linny moved towards the window and saw something metallic staring back at her. She cocked her head slightly to the side, face scrunched up with confusion. What the heck was it?

"Hi?" she tried.

Meeko tilted his head on his thin neck. "Hi?" he mimicked curiously. The droid shifted on his 'legs.' Who was this? Maybe a friend? His coding was too far damaged for him to put any of these thoughts into words. He tried to stick his head through the window…and hit it right on the glass. Meeko pulled his head back, shaking it. What was that? Some kind of shield? Or what? "Meeko?" he said in confusion. His large frame allowed him to look through the window even thoughthe platform he stood on was a few meters below it.

It was a droid. A strange droid with it's head on some sort of stick? When it bonked it's head on the glass, Linny stepped back a little. It left a small mark on the toughened glass. A droid that smacked it's head against windows and peered through into dorm rooms?

"Meeko?" she repeated, staring at it a little more. "Is... is that your name? Designation? What do you call it?" She wished she knew more about droids. The only thing she did know was that it didn't look like any droid she ever knew. Lucky for her, history was something she did know. Enough that when she looked over it a little more, she recognised the telltale hexagon of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

"No way..." she muttered, looking down at her datapad. One quick search confirmed what she was seeing. "Uhm... wait there, I'll get something... someone..." she called out to the droid as she was already tapping a message out to the Temple's Internal Network.

APBlodau: there's a strange droid with an ancient confederacy symbol on it's head
APBlodau: please advise ^-^

Meeko tilted his head to the side. "Meeko?" he beeped. This communication thing wasn't his strongest skill. Then the nice lady went to do something else, and the Vulture droid was immediately distracted by a butterfly, which he watched intently.

Master Kedo was looking through the archives on his datapad when the message came in. The short Pangoli stared at it, blinked, and after thinking it over he typed out a quick reply. I'm on my way. This had better be real, Padawan. He sent it, then rose and sprinted towards the location. He had actually heard about an airspace violation, but Kedo hadn't really cared. Yet here he was, going to help Alienor with a CIS battle droid. As he rounded a corner, he slowed to a brisk walk and pulled out his datapad again. Describe the droid, he sent.

The Master's messages seemed irate... which was not out of character. It was just her luck to get the attention of Master Kedo, of all people. Linny took her datapad over to the window again, tapping gently on the hardened glass.

"Meeko?" she called out again, hoping it was the droid's name. Hoping to attract it's attention. "Just... stay there! If you can understand me?" Maybe it had the ability to understand Basic, maybe it didn't. Couldn't hurt to try.

APBlodau: droid has dome-ish head with hexagon symbol on top
APBlodau: very thin neck, body quite big like it's a platform of some kind
APBlodau: looks like a model fighter from an old holo movie
APBlodau:
it keeps just saying meeko

Master Kedo read the messages on his datapad as he walked. When he read the words 'like a fighter model,' he cursed internally. The Separatists only had one droid like that: Vultures. When Alienor mentioned that it kept saying meeko, the Jedi frowned. Hardly normal, but maybe the ancient droid was damaged. That is a highly dangerous Vulture droid. I'm amazed you haven't been fried yet. The Pangoli thought for a moment, then added Keep it that way. With a grunt Kedo replaced his pad and swung open a door that opened onto a landing platform, and there it was. Large, lethal, and…watching a butterfly? Odd. Kedo ignited his saber.
///
Meeko didn't even see the Jedi until his blade ignited. With a squeak the large droid stepped back, looking towards his new friend for help. He needed to say…uh… "Help?" That sounded mostly right.

A vulture droid? Linny wasn't familiar, though technology had never been her thing. She kept watching it, giggling slightly as it watched the butterfly. Whatever it was, it seemed rather more harmless than the Master was projecting.

She saw the door open outside and Master Kedo step out, igniting his lightsaber. Linny gasped as she pressed a little against the glass, watching the droid squeak and try to move back. Her eyes widened as she shook her head. She hammered her little fist on the glass, trying to get Kedo's attention.

"Master! Don't! You'll just destroy whatever knowledge it has!" she called out, hoping she could be heard through the toughened glass. It was a long shot argument, but it was what she came to first. Whatever that thing was out there, it seemed pretty harmless.

Master Kedo hesitated. Although the Padawan's words were muffled, he could still hear her. Now that the Pangoli had a moment to examine the Vulture, it didn't seem very dangerous. More…scared? "Very well," he muttered, keying his comm. "I need four guards and a tech team on landing pad thirteen. We have a rogue vulture droid." Then he switched over to a private channel that went directly to Alienor's comm. "Padawan. Come down here at once. The droid seems to trust you, for…some reason or another."
///
Meeko's gaze shifted from the nice lady to the energy sword-wielding Pangoli, then back again. His termination seemed to be delayed, which was good. On the other hand, he might still get chopped. Slowly, cautiously, he stepped forward until he was towering over the Jedi, peering down nervously.
///
Suddenly, the door burst open and two other Masters rushed up behind Kedo…and froze. "By the Force…" the younger master, a female Zygerrian, whispered. The other master, a male human, merely cursed under his breath. Behind them, the four technicians timidly approached, ready to dive behind their laden repulsorlift cart if need be.
