"While we go about it different ways we are all of us striving towards a greater goal, a brighter sunset, a better tomorrow." -Hiro

The Rangers could be called many things now, but let me tell you broken ain't one of em. We ain't concentrated anymore and that's damn good because we all saw what happened to us when we did that. Spread out we cover more ground and upon that ground we will take root and grow into a force to be reckoned with. So lets divide and conquer, working to all our strengths to create a world and a galaxy worth defending.

-Rebbecca Harrassi,
Former Republic President
CEO of Cattle Caravans

Cattle Caravans
No job too small, no payout too large.

"I've been broke and broken my whole life, many of us have. That changes today. Today we can fix us and the society beneath us. From the ground up we can make this universe a bit more livable. Also we can get really really filthy rich” - Rebecca Harrassi, CEO

Some are born great. Other have greatness thrust upon them. Then there is the rest of us. Our job is to find all those stupid lucky great people and take their damn lunch money. Via legitimate means of course. Cattle Caravans started as a simple trading Caravan stretching back four generations. It fell into my hands after it was willed to me by its sole surviving heir. Needless to say I never expected to be leading the remnants of the Republic and a Corporation, but my time with the Rangers has taught me you can never have too many hats and when in doubt, roll with it.

Your job in Cattle Caravan is the same as mine pretty much. Go out there and find a way to make gold out of nothing. Run a lemonade stand without a stand or lemons and also you're being shot at. Make me water that's on fire and also isn't hot or cold or lukewarm. Do the improbable and you can keep your job, do the impossible and well talk promotion, do more than that and hell, you're just showing off.

Badges:

Tier 1 (Employee) - You've done a job or a few jobs for us so you've gone from contractor to employee. You now have access to any of our offices and get a regular salary. You may take a guest into any compound if you chose so long as it is business related.

Tier 2 (Lower Management) - You've done great work now you can lead some people. Take twenty and plan something out for is. Use some of our business funds to make deals and bring in more cash. You have freedom now, don't abuse it.

Tier 3 (Upper Management)- Excellent work, you've shown leadership skills and have helped build us up into something amazing. Feel free to use one of our bases for your operations. You have access to a company ship whenever you need one and your good for extensive and large loans for business use. You can create and own a business and run it well and that'll be the key to the next tier

Tier 4 (Partner) - You've paid your dues and now you're in the inner circle. You have the ear of the upper echelon for policies and investment. Take command of any base as full fledged leader of all finances, equipment, and employees within. You run your own show now, make it a good one.

Tier 5 (CEO) - Don't even think about it, this is my chair. Seriously though I don't expect to do this forever, you get to this point, the chair will be warm for you. From there shes all yours. Just remember, CEO or no, you're a Ranger first.

Notable NPCS:

Rebecca Harrassi-CEO, run the show, you've probably heard of me as I am kind of a big deal. Talk to me if you have something to talk about I have a lot of business to handle and holding your hand is not in my job description.

LT Jake Daniels- Head of security for all Cattle Caravans facilities current and future. If you suffer an attack or know of a threat against us you let him know and he will resolve it with Reason and Understanding which consequently are the names of his fists

Para 'Slamma Jamma' Arin- Former hacker, she now leads our cyber security team and is also in charge of banking relations as she was a former banker herself (doesn't seem the type). At any rate she is damn good at what she does and unfortunately she knows it.

Bases:

Cattle Caravans Head Quarters - Located in District Four of the Daedalus Space Station. This somewhat humble office space can hold two hundred workers using many kinds of data transmission devices and financial resources to coordinate with their on the ground teams to forge strong economic bonds the galaxy over.

Cattle Caravans has a strict work hard play hard philosophy so while you can also enjoy yourself out in the station there are several break areas for gaming, a small gym, and many lounges to talk about the long days behind and ahead. It wouldn't be a Waste Ranger base without a bar of course and one such lounge has one manned by a serving droid named Sven.

Security is mainly handled by Paragon but for matters on interior security Lt Jake Daniels is in charge of a small group of guards that do regular sweeps of the building. In the case of assault the bottom of the building can serve as an emergency bunker as its lined with reinforced durasteel.

Assets:

Old Rusty's Bar: Not much to look at, but that in the way is the point. Old Rusty's is meant to be the common mans bar, so far we have five of these stands dotted across Daedalus and one on Zonju V. Rusty's serves as a place for refreshment for our guests and information for us as our tenders are instructed to keep ear and eye open for the suspicious and potentially profitable.

Radio WASTELAND: Currently only operational in a small sphere from one of our bases on Zonju V, we hope for Radio WASTELAND to become a premier channel for information, communication, and entertainment. Well need to grow the network, but for now we need an everyman to take up the comms.

Republic Trust: A small bank currently used for the safe transfer of funds between our interior assets. Were hoping to expand it to all Rangers soon and then to the rest of the public. It'll take a lot of wheeling and dealing, but like all things. Trust must be earned.

The Takers
Remember the fallen. Punish the wicked.

"None are truly innocent. Look at every man, woman, and child and you won't see black and white. You'll see grey.” - Gray, Leader of the Takers

I've lost so much. I'm not complaining, just stating. Friends, family, homes, hope. Through every loss I've moved on, shed my tears, shed my shell, emerged stronger...perhaps. What I've taken from it all is the good suffer and evil lives on to laugh about it. Not anymore. I formed the Takers for one reason. Revenge. Our job is simple, find evil, kill evil. No hesitation, no mercy.

Many say my methods are too brutal, but just look at who we face. Scum. All of them are scum dirtying our world and I won't stand the sight of them any longer. I won't let anyone else get hurt who doesn't have to be.

I'd love to organize this group based on an honor system, but I've been burned too many times before. We're called the Takers for some very specific reasons you see. One is that we take back whats ours, be it money, land, or life. Second is that in order to prove your deeds you must take something from every person that you kill. A ring, a strip of cloth, a finger, whatever you need to prove to yourself and to me that that person is gone, because if I learn of deceit within my ranks, you'll lose much more than that. That's not a threat.

It's a promise.

Badges:

Tier 1 (Greenhorn) - You've made a kill or two. Great. You get a name.

Tier 2 (Small Taker) - You've cleared away some evil and gotten a small stockpile of taken items. A Big Taker will most likely take you under their wing for further bounties. Feel free to use our bases to resupply and rest up, you'll need it for the tougher road ahead.

Tier 3 (Big Taker)- You've proven to us you have what it takes to play with the big boys. Take up permanent residence in any of our bases. You can also take a Small Taker to task and make them worthy of their own mantle.

Tier 4 (Justicar) - Not only have you taken down your fair share of evil, but you've also done a lot of good by readying those below you to take up gun lest you fall. You have our ear in most matters and feel free to hang your most cherished taken item in our Hall of the Fallen.

Tier 5 (Head Taker) - You want to take up the reins you take them from my cold dead hands.

Notable NPCS:

Gray- I run the Takers. Don't talk to me until you've expended all other resources. If you have and your question isn't too stupid or too unimportant, I'll never lead you astray.

Sergey Jotun- The Master at Arms for the Takers. He is responsible for supply allocation and maintaining good order. Don't **** with him.

Ema- Leader of the Salt Flat Riders and general master of navigation

Bases:

The Gunslinger Chapel - Located in the Spine of Zonju V, The Gunslinger Chapel is a place of justice, respite, and pilgrimage. Not only do we house Big Takers here but also the remains of our fallen brothers and sisters. The hall of the Fallen is a sacred place, a silent place, each taker should take their time there at some point to look upon the graves of Johnny Wasteland, Vince, and Hiro, along with hundreds of others who bravely gave their lives.

Gunslinger Chapel has extensive grounds all around filled with grazing grounds for nerf. Those unable or unwilling to fight can be found there in shifts. We make a great deal of things from the meat and hide of these nerfs and make no mistake, though the tenders are not Takers, they are rangers, give them the same respect you'd give any fellow Ranger.

Tunnels are found in the mountains all around, they bring water, an escape route, and a host of dangers from beasts that lurk within. They are patrolled regularly and cleared when needed. We are slowly begin to map the system, but on occasion the charts seems to change.

Assets:

The Salt Flat Riders: The plains below the Spine are barren save for a single oasis. This oasis called simply Salt Flat is patrolled by weathered veterans of many a raid. When traveling across the desert it'd be wise to seek their help and water as they know this land like the back of their beaten hands. They're led by Ema

Outpost 94: Nobody quite knows where the other 93 outposts went, but we aren't complaining. This nearly pristine building is empty as of now, but if we secure and garrison it we can begin patrols on both sides of the spine giving us a link to First Tear to see whats happening there.

M.O.S.E.S
Mobile Operations Seeking the Eradication of Slavery

"For every chain you break in this world you break another within. For every man you free you free a bit more of your soul” - Father O'Mory, Leader of the Church of Aran

Friend I see you have taken a most noble path. Slavery is the most wicked of evils in this world don't you agree? In Aran's time no man was slave and all had a place so it was written in the Holy Complex most sacred of texts and holy of holy. In this time however, this cursed time, we find that more and many more suffer under the yoke of the wicked and the cruel whip of the savage. We must allow this no longer.

We have found paradise in Zion, but that is nothing if it cannot be shared with all. To laze away in comfort as the good suffer is a greater sin than the evil those slave holders perpetuate now. For in order for evil to prevail good men must do nothing. MOSES intends that good men will do something and they will begin doing so now.

To join MOSES is to accept the burden of uplifting the weak and the blessing of seeing the scars of slavery heal of all those you have saved. Even those not saved in this life have the next, but for all of us who remain there is judgement. So I say to you if you were the one chained, what would you desire most of all?

Freedom...yes...that is the greatest good. That is why you joined MOSES, that is why you will save this galaxy. One open hand to an open heart. One broken chain one broken woman. All of these things you will encounter and endure, but I promise you you will not be alone. So go, do your good works, become legend in the eyes of the enslaved.

be M.O.S.E.S

Badges:

Tier 1 (Acolyte) - You've taken the first steps on your righteous path. Return to Zion for cleansing of any sins you may have had to perform to do this greater good.

Tier 2 (Guide) - Not only can you free slaves in more intense operations you can also begin leading pilgrimages from those unfortunates who wish to visit, settle around, or settle in Zion

Tier 3 ( Chain Breaker)- You have freed a great many slaves and are worthy of spreading our message to the stars. Take one of our ships and an appropriate crew. Seek slave traders, markets, worlds. Free as many as you can and tell them of Zion.

Tier 4 (Liberator) - Alas Zion cannot be paradise for all. With your good works we ask you to establish a new land of safety upon Zonju V or any world you find suitable, perhaps using a space station or large ship. You have the ear of all the greatest of our ranks in all matters.

Tier 5 (Freedom Fighter) - Aran be praised you are a paragon and a legend. Your tales will be written in the Holy Complex and you are allowed permanent residence in Zion.

Notable NPCS:

Father O'Mory- I am the spiritual leader of my flock. We are settled in Zion created by Aran, may he be ever praised, I do not partake in the physical freeing of my people, but the spiritual. Come to me if you suffer in mind or soul and I will do all I can to lead you back to the right path.

Ross Hakina- Good Ross, a tireless worker. He prepares all the intelligence on our operations and organizes training for those not skilled in combat and investigation.

St. Mary- While I believe the title Saint should be reserved for those who have lived full lives of service, this Mary is on the proper path. She organizes the community and is the 'on the ground' specialist of our most dangerous operations.

Bases:

Zion - Located deep in the wastes west of Sathad'Ra is the fabled city of Zion. What was once to be the final resting place of Aran has become a refuge for the rangers who utilize it's ancient systems to create a veritable paradise beneath the hellish rock and sand above.

Within Zion there are vast complexes of uplifted buildings which are utilized for housing, business, and training. Below is a large aquifer which is collected from daily by complex piping systems and the occasional traditional bucket. The dark waters below host a variety of making it a popular fishing destination.

At the center of the complex is a massive statue of what was once Aran. In it's place is the visage of Hiro the masked android who created the Rangers and allowed all these peoples to assemble in a new world as free men and women. Below the statue are offering plates which are collected from daily to further support the infrastructure within. As of now offerings are so generous that absolutely no taxation has to take place to keep the base running and most supplies are sold at cost to those that require them.

At the front of the complex is the massive gate fifty feet thick of solid sandstone infused with durasteel beams. It takes roughly two hours to open fully but only a few moments to create a space large enough for a single row of individuals. This door was made specifically to blend into the area above and it's thickness makes most cursory methods of detection rather worthless as the scanners find too much interference in the hard rock.

In the back of Zion is a tunnel filled with water, the source of the aquifer. Work is being done now to prepare a small fleet of submarines to explore and map these out for possible use as escape routes and supply lines.

Assets:

The Children of Aran: This group of religious followers led by Father O'Mory work completely free of attachment to earthly goods. Their charitable works allow for a higher standard of living in Zion as they not only maintain much of the complexes public spaces but also frequently go out to do good works on the waste. These works are often rewarded and any coinage offered is swiftly put into the public coffers. It isn't a stretch to say Zion wouldn't be Zion without this order and we should thank Father O'Mory for founding it.

Johnny Wasteland: Long time ago a ship crashed in the desert and nobody bothered to go get it. It was down there pretty deep but the last rains brought it up to the surface. We happened upon it first and a few months of scrap metal, elbow grease, and a lot of wires eventually led to the christening of the Johnny Wasteland. On board this vessel acts as M.O.S.E.S mobile command coordinating our efforts to combat slavery all across the outerrim. While it resembles many in it's class it has one thing different. Painted for about a week it is now a sort of light yellow color. While the paint mildly blends in with the ground of desert worlds the purpose of the paint job was to seal it against the buffeting sandstorms it currently sits in when it makes port on Zonju V.

While it is a war vessel with much of the same capability of any other Lancer it has a few more spaces than usual dedicated to medical and berthing compartments. This is due to the fact that any slaves picked up from other worlds have to be carried and tended to for awhile in between missions.

On a dark night surrounded by the stars, cruising at full speed to do some good, it is said that those who listen closely can hear the gentle twang of Johnny Wasteland's guitar as he sings to the stars and all those sons and daughters he has yet to free.

The Make or Breakers
Building a better tomorrow. Next week.

"The man who shakes the hand isn't the one building alliances. The man who gives the speech isn't the one building his people up. It's the working man, it always has been. Always will be," -Krieg Wallis, Head Engineer

You want to get your feet wet and your hands dirty? Good, then you've come to the right place. Waste Rangers have a history of building back up after defeat and who do you think is doing the building. Me. Now you can join me and the others to create whatever it is we need to do the galaxy a bit of good.

Let me tell you now there ain't ever a 'typical' day for a Make or Breaker. We get up in the morning and whatever hits us hits us and let me be the first to say it hits hard and often. Still wanna join up? Good, cause I got more bad news. You know all them fancy things like plumbing, shelter, food, water, you know those luxuries most people get. Yeah we go places where they ain't because like I said we're the ones who build them.

Whats to gain from all this? Let me tell ya there ain't something quite as immortal as a good sturdy well made building. Long after you and I are gone, the ships, the bases, hell even the toilets we fixed will live on and serve on as we did, ceaselessly, tirelessly, and often thanklessly. I didn't want to sugarcoat it cause I ain't that kinda guy, but if you're still interested let me tell ya you are some kinda good folk.

Or maybe stupid.

Badges:

Tier 1 (Scrapper) - You're a little rusty, lets call it that. Still you earned your place on the working party with sweat and gumption.

Tier 2 (Fixer) - You've got a find mind and a finer set of hands it seems. You're ready to lead some teams and harder projects in harsher terrain I'd say. Best buy a good wrench and a tent.

Tier 3 (Builder) - You've fixed up a good bit of stuff. Feel free to take a load off for a good five minutes cause we got plans for you. Schematics specifically. Feel free to produce your own ideas, but were mostly gonna have you on the front lines per say. Get ready to move some rock.

Tier 4 (Founder) - You've done so much that we want to give you a small something back. You guessed it, MORE WORK! However this work will center on your own project. Whether it's a ship, a base, or a statue, you'll have the resources of the Make or Breakers behind you...within reason.

Tier 5 (Chief) - That's me for now. I'm content in my position, but if ya didn't know my Mary has a baby coming along the way and if someone would prove themself worthy, I wouldn't be too distressed in abdicating. it'll take somebody crazy though, that's fer damn sure. Up for it?

Notable NPCS:

Krieg Wallis- That'd be me. I organize work parties, submit and approve designs, ensure everyone knows how to do their job, and I'm always up for a brew. Hit me up if you need anything fixed or are interested in joining our little group.

Mary Wallis- My wife. As for what she is in the Make or Breakers, better question is what she ain't. My girl made herself responsible for the supply side of the building business which means her famous Summer Bug Squash ends up in the knapsack of many a worker. She's also in charge of a lot of administrative stuff, so if you need records or have funding issues talk to her. Do be light though she is with child after all.

Archimedes Slim- The good ol doc is always coming up with plans that never quite come to fruition. He helps every now and again with designs and whatnot, but lately all he can talk about are these gems he found that seem to make the critters act funny. Strange fella, too smart for his own good if ya ask me.

Bases:

The Garage - Located in a little place I like to call 'The Middle of Nowhere', is the headquarters of the Make or Breakers. Here you'll find scrap, wood, and whatever else we could find aplenty and ripe for the taking for your projects. Living quarters are also found here and we do good business with a local oasis town to get most of our food and water supplied. We have a heap of building equipment here as well as some beds for short stays. Got a bar of course and a few amenities to have a good time after a hard days work.

The garage is pretty simple, in terms of a defensive plan all I can say is I hope you're a fast runner. If we have a chance well fight, but as the desert surrounds us were spoiled for choice when it comes to running and living another day.

Assets:

The Wrong Crowd: A rough bunch starting out, but they're good people for the most part. We found them harassing caravans near the oasis town we wanted to do some dealing with. Rangers gave em a show and the grand finale left them an offer, take the hand or the gun. They took the hand and so far we're all better for it.

Turns out these brigands weren't always a bad bunch, lot of them had families, farms, education even, but all of them came across a stroke of bad luck one place or another that chucked them out into the waste to fend for themselves. Under the Ranger umbrella they swiftly became some of my finest builders and are as enthusiastic as they are tireless. I'd say they put me to shame, but I don't want em to hear me, I'll never hear the end of it.

The Scrapyard: Aran must have been one helluva builder. Even after a thousand years theres still a vast despoiled plain of broken metal and machine piled out in the middle of the desert. It must've been under a dune or somelike for awhile as most of it is still good as scrap. At any rate it's good fortune for us as well always have a steady supply of pig iron and the like to work with.

The Trailblazers
To boldly go where no Cesario has gone before

"To go a little bit further, that's the dream of every living creature in this universe. That's what I'm saying we should do. Go out into the uncharted and make some charts. Dangerous? Yes! Profitable? Possibly. Worth it in the end? I'd say yes...what about you?" -Cesario, Principle Investor and Head of Exploration

You're gonna want to listen because I talk fast. We don't have much time and we don't have much space except for space itself which as you know is vast and infinite and scary and that's exactly what I'm talking about. Land. Planets and asteroids and dust particles untouched by people's hands and feet and other limbs that other organisms have like tentacles and claws. That's another thing, well meet so many different lifeforms and they'll be weird looking and mostly unfriendly and we might inadvertently spread diseases and so will they and...

Do you see where I'm going with this? ....no? ...oh

Let's try this again. I'm Cesario, yes I only have one name, because like many explorers I hope a last name will be earned with my heroic deeds and yes I am alluding to the fact that I want to be called Cesario the Great...not yet though since any title attached to me so far would be less than ideal and/or pleasant. I have a lot of credits, well had I suppose. Invested everything into you're group because you had a certain spark that reminded me of...well me. That being that you're all totally batshit insane.

You fight losing battles, have impossible ideals, use laughable weapons, and have more livestock than adherents and I love it! You delightful little nerfboys and nerfgirls are my ticket to the beyond and I'm not talking bed and bath, I'm talking way beyond to where darkness meets black. Were going where no man has gone before and when we get there a man will have been there and that's the whole point of it all. Also that man will be me as I get first step privileges no take backs.

Now that we established that the only thing left is to shake. Shake with excitement that is! This isn't a business deal, it isn't a corporation, it's a party in every sense of the word and if you're willing to go outside your comfort zone and deep deep deep into your discomfort zone then you're invited. Hell you can be the guest of honor if you're willing to carry my bags. Ha! Kidding, of course you'll carry my bags you're the help, ha ha ha I slay me.
Badges:

Tier 1 (Cabinboy/girl) - You are present and alive. Good job.

Tier 2 (Crew) - You've helped us on our journey and are noticeable enough to be briefly mentioned in my journal which as you know will become a bestseller as soon as books come back in style.

Tier 3 (Pathfinder) - A leader of men ha ha, very nice, but of course don't get any funny ideas. Still you've done a lot and I'll be sure to put you in my foreword.

Tier 4 (Captain) - Great work. Feel free to steer the ship from now on during our travels. If I'm not around consider yourself in charge.

Tier 5 (Head of Exploration) - Don't even think about it. I MADE YOU! Ha ha, we good? Good for a moment I thought you were after my job. Cause if you were I'd have to do things to you while you slept....and everybody sleeps.

Notable NPCS:

Cesario- The one and only and future great! I provide the money and the ships and the spirit of adventure!

Amelia Thatcher- Forgive the sour expression on my head of navigations, she had quite a nice life back on...well wherever it is she came from, but things change as they say and now she is here. Despite her attitude she is simply the best and most affodable pilot money can buy. Be careful what you say around her by the by, I'm not sure if she bite- OW!

Malk- This mischievous fellow here is actually from the unknown. He is called a 'Greepo' or something I wasn't really listening. He says he looks a lot different from his species, but he knows where they live. Because of this and his uncanny knack for technology I appointed him chief engineer and navigation consul. On a side note keep him out of the galley between meals, he eats like a starving Bantha.

Bases:

The Great Beyond - Like the name? I thought of it myself naturally. This will be our base of operations as we explore the great wide wonder world that is possibility! Inside you'll see I made some modifications. The cargo area has been cut in half in order to facilitate normal living arrangements for a crew of around forty and just enough room to spare for my office. What? What do you mean I can't have an office that big. You're no fun and fired and I hate you.

Anyway besides the idiot who thinks he can tell me what I can and can'y do with my damn money and my damn ship should listen up. This ship has showers, a galley, an observation deck, and even a holonet cafe that's actually more like a regular cafe cause we aint gonna have holonet where were going.

Ship wasn't designed for war but it has a turret or two nestled away. We have about enough rations tucked away for half a year so expect some long hauls. Also I'm hoping you weren't expecting to write home much, like I said we aren't going to have the holonet or any safety net at all. It's gonna be us and the twinkling stars. Ready to head out?

The Commune
For all the many worlds she wept but for one.

"Blood spilt does not change a world, it kills it. Sweat can move mountains but it does not budge men's hearts. A tear...a tear however can bring the most beautiful life and bring those cruelest to their knees. That is why we worship, that is why we pray. For a better tomorrow. A world where no tears must be shed." -Lady Moridai

Welcome weary one, I am Lady Moridai counselor and consoler to those bereft of hope in these retched wastes. I lead an order nearly destroyed by random hate and greed, but still I can find strength and hope for that is all life is. I represent the Commune, but I certainly do not lead it. All decisions and all paths come from the Goddess, yes the Crying Maiden I see you've heard her other name. The Goddess was but a simple woman caught up in the wars of Aran a thousand years ago, but she was chosen, lifted by some unknown force into the heavens beyond. Now she brings the rains to this dry world weeping for all her children.

I know

This seems farce does it not? To believe in a higher being when you have tasted the stars. I assure you however ascent is not a straight line upward and there are heavens beyond the heavens you and I both know. Now whether you believe or not, you must agree this is a hurting world, a dying world. These rains were the first in nearly two years and the people suffer greatly for their lack. Running low on food and water they beg and die in the streets like dogs. This is not the Goddess's will and it is certainly not decent by even the lowest standards.

That is why the Commune exists. For sometimes tears run dry, but mercy is a river which must never stop flowing. I and all servants of the Goddess feel her call to act and so we do. Distributing water, food, providing shelter and money when we are able. There are sick and elderly and young which have known no care nor hope of salvation and I hope to change that for some...for as many as I can. I am but one, but in the great tapestry of creation I see a weaving, a new dawn brighter than the last and I hope you can help me achieve that.

Take my hand and my prayers, go with the Goddess and do your good deeds. Not for riches or praise, but because they are reward in themselves. In all things, go in peace.

Badges:

Tier 1 (Disciple) - You've done a good work. Whether in the Goddess's name or not it is recognized. Feel free to visit our shrines.

Tier 2 (Adherent) - The Goddess shines in you, we see this now. You are welcome to join our order and even if you decline you are welcome among us and to share in whatever we have.

Tier 3 (Guardian) - You are a defender of the weak and a healer of the sick. Come to us for anything, be it food, water, or cleansing ceremonies given only to those as honorable as you.

Tier 4 (Life Giver) - You're spirit flows like the pure water of the Crying Maiden herself. Utilize anything the Commune has and feel free to speak with our authority, we are assured the Goddess guides you.

Tier 5 (Avatar) - The Goddess incarnate. Unlike other faiths where a deity takes a single mortal form, it is not unusual for the Crying Maiden to come in many forms and be represented in different ways. I Lady Meridai have been seen as the Goddess's eyes for my ability to determine where springs lie hidden away. To be in this level is the greatest of honors as you no longer worship the Goddess, you are her.

Notable NPCS:

Lady Meridai- I come from a long line of matriarchs who provide spiritual guidance to the Commune and all those we help. Come to me if you need any advice or help and I will do all in my power to provide it.

Jazal Nak- A Nagai swordsman with a cryptic past. He came to us with a heavy heart and aching lungs. His breaths were ragged but his words were true. We took him in and past his cleansing ceremony he has become a respected guardian of the Commune, his piety and work ethic never questioned. Speak to him about martial matters as he is one of the few who has to bear such a dangerous subject in his mind.

Mae Rani- This young woman is the daughter of our departed Lady Bourani. As such she is seen as the continuation of the Goddess upon this earth and is much revered. She seems to not care for this treatment, but is adhering to the guidance of the Goddess, which is good. Speak to her on matters of your spiritual journey as she walks the path with you.

Bases:

The Palace of Tears - Located near the Ranger town of Duskwood, this once ruin has been restored to the proper place of worship it once was. Water flows here easily and baffles many as to its source. We believers of course know it comes from the Goddess, but we allow the curiosities of scientists and explorers to try their luck figuring it out.

Made of heavy stone not from this word this temple is an ancient place of great spiritual significance. It's exact history and use are not clear to me, but I am assured it will become as clear and pure as the water bounty here. This pure water which invigorates the body mind and soul is gathered and distributed to as many places as possible throughout Zonju V including Duskwood.

The complex contains enough room to hold three hundred souls but currently it only houses half that number. It's occupants are disciples, pilgrims, and those upon the threshold of death awaiting either a miracle or the final comfort of the ending. Within we house some of the last remaining relics and treasures of the old Commune including the necklace of Lady Bourani recovered from the ruins of our once-home. These gifts are displayed to all as we are open to the people of this world as equals, brothers and sisters all.

This temple relies upon the Rangers for it's defense as well as it's remote location. There are those superstitions about this place that it bears a dark and evil curse. No such thing can exist in a temple of the goddess, but these illusions prove useful so I will allow them to remain.

Assets:

The Soaring Stones: A mysterious aberration of the natural order, the Soaring Stones attract many a wanderer and pilgrim seeking the natural wonder and beauty that can be found in the Waste. We maintain vassalage over this piece of land, keeping it safe from encroaching wildlife and the occasional raider. Jazal Nak makes his home here most of the time honing his swordsmanship in the harsh desert and praying fervently to seek meaning in these strange floating stones.

Alms are left here often which are used by our order to maintain the grounds and do our good.

Vestulai: An ancient word meaning, 'To share and love', these outposts are found throughout the northern wastes above Sathad'ra in between several medium sized settlements. They provide small protection against the elements and are maintained and protected not with arms or men, but rather by a single written code above the doorway with a depiction of the Goddess. With only this we have found people who use supplies replace them and often add more and the spaces are generally kept tidy and free of violence.

These outposts are useful in encouraging trade across the inhospitable desert and can be used by Rangers as well to brave the harsh elements. It is customary to thank the Goddess and take a drink upon entering any of these sacred spaces.

The Gobo Express
Got a package for ya!

"Yes we deliver!" -Chad Fronterra, Postmaster

I know what you're going to say. 'Delivering letters? Sounds unrangery Well let me tell you something about rangery. It is not a word. And another word that is not a word is awesomevolcanosauce which is exactly what working for Gobo Express is going to be like. Also that's the only time I'll describe what we do as work as it's more enriching kickass awesome hobby shenanigans.

Gobo Express delivers, plain and simple. We deliver to those who can't deliver unto themselves. That means supplies for the isolated, messages for the cut off, and pizza for the guy who lives one block away from the traditional delivery zone of his favorite pizzeria. I'm not saying every job is going to be life or death, but dammit we gotta treat it as such.

One thing that separates the civilized worlds from the backwater is reliability, in currency, in relations, and most importantly in its message delivering service. So when we go out there, tote bags stuffed with goodies, were not only delivering messages, were also sending them. See what I did there?.

So get out there. Do your route. Smile. And if you get chased down by a hungry looking anooba with a vicious glint in his eye, don't worry, it just means he likes you.

Tier 5 (Postmaster) - I am that person. Hi

Notable NPCS:

Chad Fronterra- Hi I'm Chad Fronterra. I like eggs. I'm often on time. I have a dream where all the packages are delivered on time. Thank you.

Aola and Nima- a double whammy. This dynamic duo run a two girl delivery run by captaining the Juicy Jane they're a model crew so be sure to follow their lead.

Elrica Dolshevik- Now here is a strange lady. She comes outta nowhere saying she has an idea on how to get my concept airborne and by golly has she done some work. She helps run all things aviation for Gobo express both in the atmosphere and out. There isn't a greater expert but dear goddess don't get her started.

Sylia- My personal bodyguard and oldest friend Sylia. She follows me everywhere, makes sure I'm taken care of, helps me plan the routes, supports me always, and occasionally gives me backrubs. She sure is a good platonic friend.

Bases:

The Sorting House - This is where the magic happens. That is of course an expression, no magic happens here. We sort things. Mail being the primary thing. This also serves as our living quarters and has a basketball court.

It's in Duskwood and employs a good portion of people from there. Inside we house our storage facility for mail, host calls for deliveries, and even have hangar space for our idling freighters. We still have plenty of room to grow so well see what happens in the future!

Assets:

A lot of freighters- We host a ton of independent contractors and have our own domestic fleet of about 20 freighters. They come and go through the sorting house either dropping off or picking up. It's never a dull moment.

The Stable- Sort of a throwback to the old Rangers I guess. This place is a holding pen for Gobos, Horses, speeders, and whatever else you can traverse the land on. Just remember if it's stolen, damaged, or taken for a joyride every now and again Gobo Express is not responsible.
