Sitting in the familiar cockpit of his longtime means of transportation, the custom ship Nine Lives, Poknor sipped at an energy-packed drink while staring out at the stars. He was going over the mission he'd been assigned in his mind. To anyone else, it might have seemed impossible. But if there was one thing the old Cathar knew, it was that there was no limit on what could be done with a talented bunch of criminals and a good plan. As his ship moved around an asteroid field Poknor spotted it - Warburg. An isolated Republic space station that acted as a prison, holding numerous violent criminals. They were here to infiltrate it and get a certain Wookiee by the name of Tarfoot out to freedom, but the question was how it would be done. Setting the ship to autopilot around Warburg, Poknor moved back to the mess hall where his crew and one of his superiours (Malkav, the Underboss of the Sontrebren Crew) would be relaxing at this time.

"Alright ladies and gents, Warburg is in sight," he announced. "To recap on this mission for those of you with short memories, Warburg is a big space station prison complex. A Wookiee called Tarfoot is in there. The boss wants him out. The lower areas of the space station were damaged by some asteroids who changed their orbit without warning, so we have a perfect chance to infiltrate at that spot. But we'll need a plan for finding Tarfoot once we're inside, and then another plan for getting him out. Ideally, we'd like to avoid violent confrontation with prison guards for as long as possible."

"Now I have a few ideas in mind, but first let's hear what you think of the situation," he said, looking at his soldiers. He encouraged independant thinking in those who worked for him, mindless thugs always obeyed orders without question but that only made them useful to a certain extent. Soldiers with thoughts were much more valuable.

Samanya Mohatu was the latest addition to Capo Poknor Tiwsferum's Kadaver Crew. As such, she was understandably nervous but also excited. She sat quietly in one corner of the mess hall and carefully studied her comrades and Underboss Malkav, while simultaneously double and triple-checking the magazines of ammunition tucked into the pouches clipped to the belt section of her armor.

Just as the cathar had finished fastening the pouches in which the magazines sat, she heard footsteps entering the messhall, and immediately turned her gaze towards the mess hall's door. Standing there was the Capo, Poknor. She leaned her rifle back against the wall and then slid off the chair and onto her feet, folding her arms across the chest-plate of her armor and looking 'cross the mess hall at the Capo as he spoke up.

Her ears tilted forward to catch everything he said. While she had remembered what they were there for, a re-cap never hurt, and so she listened with rapt attention.

Samanya was slightly surprised when he asked for the soldier's take on the situation, but she got over it quickly and spoke up in a calm voice. "The station's a big place, and it stands to reason that there's more cell blocks than we could ever search on our own. Finding a computer terminal ought to be one of our first objectives. If I can get to a terminal, I can hack it and find Tarfoot, and also get us some station schematics. That should make determining how we want to get to Tarfoot and how we want to get him out easier." She suggested.

"And maybe we could, say, unleash a few cell blocks of prisoners on our way to Tarfoot. That'd give the Republic a pretty big problem to deal with, especially if we tricked the prisoners into thinking the Republic had transport vessels on the top levels."

Malkav listened silently from across the table, glancing at each new voice as they voiced their ideas. He sighed.

Malkav was getting old. As he saw from these young faces around him, youth was slipping passed him. Or had it already? Eventually, he decided that it didn't matter, they were all going to get old someday. He remembered when he was young, and chuckled.

The others reverted their attention to him as they heard the sound. Noticing the attention now on himself, he stood up out of the comfortable perch and said
"Well...."

He looked into their eyes. Their young eyes.Malkav didn't want them to die, not on this mission, not on HIS mission. And on this mission, there certainly was the risk of dying. Why had they chosen this life? To work in fear of death. Why They could have been something better....made something better of themselves. They were still young, they still had time. They didn't have to...

Now is not the time. Emitted the voice from inside his head...the voice that had been with him from day one.

Your right. Malkav agreed silently with the voice, one of the very few times he did.
Malkav, still standing in silence, came back to reality with all his underlings staring at him. He was still in charge.

".....Well..as I was saying....It would not be hard to get word through the prison system to the Wookie about the escape plan. We could have him at a certain destination at a certain time, say....in the detention block area? Solitary confinement? I think If we go with Sam's-" He motioned to her and said quickly "Hope you don't mind If I call you that" and then smiled. He returned quickly to his original thought and said "Plan. Say...release a block or two of prisoners, but have the target already in solitary confinement, ready and waiting. That way we don't have to fight our way through a sea of prisoners."

He sat back down. Time to hear what they said.

Teo sat silently in the back and listened. "I know how to get clearence codes and any false info we can need. All you have to do is ask." He was half listening to the conversation, because wirelessly he was directing the ships crew. Over the years Teo had become Cyberized and could communicate with the ship. He could pilot it from anywhere within or around it, he could also access the holonet and a number of computers onboard.

Adelaide was slouched on her seat listening to the plan to get some wookie out of jail. She didn't care for missions like these, she prefered smuggling and stealing assignments. She pondered the idea of causing a bit of a riot with ither prisoners. Seemed like a good distraction, but she thought of many ideas how it could go wrong. She remembered seeing many things happen in a riot once before.

"This idea about releasing prisoners, it isn't a great idea. Too much could go wrong so easily. If we encounter them, they may try taking us down, making us having to worry about them and the republic soldiers. They might start fires that may block our path, cut the power leaving us in the dark, or even cause flooding. One other thing is, once a few prisoners break out, the riot gear is put on by the guards. That will make us have to deal with guards suited up, as opposed to being over exposed. It's up to you guys to do what you want, I really don't care, so long as I survive and get him out of here.

Samanya smiled and shook her head as Underboss Malkav asked if she minded being called Sam, then she continued listening attentively as he spoke. He had an excellent idea for a modifier to her suggestion. Find a way to get Tarfoot moved into solitary confinement somewhere, then release a couple cell blocks of prisoners on another level, eliminating the possibility of the rioting converging on the level where Tarfoot was.

She remained silent as she listened for what her fellow soldiers had to say, listening first to Teo as he spoke up. While she knew little about Teo, other than his name, she already liked the man. He was a master of technology, and augmented with Cybernetics. The fact that he was technically inclined alone made him alright in her books.

Samanya then turned to Adelaide as she threw out her thoughts on the matter. She dimly remembered hearing about her; Adelaide had been a part of the Free Trade Alliance for a brief while along with her father many years ago. Or was that some other women? She pushed those thoughts away as the women shot down the plan, to which Sam quickly responded.

"Actually, I think Underboss Malkav was suggesting that we should start the riot on a level far from where Tarfoot's being held. That would largely eliminate the possibility of the prisoners swarming us." She replied, before nodding at Teo and continuing. "I bet you a hundred creds that Teo here can remotely access the station's security systems and crack open the cell doors on whatever level we want to raise a little hell on. We wouldn't even need to set foot on that level if Teo could do that."

The Cathar took a few steps forward, coming closer into the group of Sontrebren Crewmembers as she wrapped up her comments. "As for the Guards, this place is a maximum security prison. They're probably going to be geared up to fight a war anyways. Think repeating blasters, heavy body armor, every flavor of grenade imaginable, pepper spray, ETC, ETC. Forcing them to equip riot gear might actually make 'em easier to fight, since riot guards carry a riot shield - which won't stop a bullet - and a stun baton, and wear armor that defends against bludgeoning attacks and thrown objects, not blasters and bullets. That's a pretty easy kill if you ask me. We'd just have to watch out for guards with riot shotguns and stun gas grenades. They could ruin our day in a hurry. But, considering how we shouldn't even be on the level the rioting would occur on, our chances of running into riot guards should be slim to nil, I think."

With that said, she let her hands fall to her sides and straightened up a little, while hoping the last member of the crew didn't mind her cutting in before he could speak.

Malkav chirped in after Sam was done, saying "The solitary confinement cells are on the very bottom of the space station. My idea is to orbit the space station, open the cell blocks, and in the confusion quickly land on the dock closest to the solitary confinement center. Once there, a team should be able to locate and extract him. Should be simple enough, right?" He looked around to see the expressions of his comrades.

Before anyone could reply however, Malkav said
"Regardless," He nodded to Teo "Teo, I want a full report of what defenses they have. The guards, their weapons and armor, the space stations cannons, everything. We need to know their riot plans and if they have pursuit ships." He waited for everyone's response.

The first to speak up was Samanya, a rather attractive young female of Poknor’s own species. She seemed smart, too. He gave her a nod and a smile as she finished talking, turning his head then as Malkav, Teo and Adelaide added more input. He listened to each of them in turn as they criticized one another ideas. The Cathar liked the way they were discussing the plan, his soldiers were acting professional, and obviously so was the Underboss.

“Good ideas, everyone. Sam’s right - getting to a computer terminal on board the station should be our first objective. Releasing prisoners to start a riot and distract the guards is also a good idea, but unfortunately it may be harder then we think. Getting Tarfoot into solitary confinement could be hard too. This place is max security, and I’ve heard the guards are ruthless. Acting out might just get Tarfoot killed.”

He turned to Teo. “Please, get as much information on this place as you can. Anything that would help us. If it’s possible, find out if you would be able to open cell doors from right here in the ship. If that’s not possible, we’ll just have to find the right terminal inside Warburg.”

Teo looked at his captain for a moment wordlessly. To most it would seem as if we were inattentive, but those that knew him knew he was already processing and compiling the information.

"I have the blueprints and am looking at public info now. I'll be in the private information in a moment." He paused. "We can dock near the engines. There was once a cell block that was damaged and remains unrepairable. We can get in undetected from there. From there we can move to the next level and obtain all of the override codes from the engineers. They were smart and their computers are off the network."

He paused for a moment longer. "The system kicked me out, decent security system." He coughed and then went blank again. "I'm back in."

"I can't know which cell he's in. A back search shows that a bill was passed making it so that cell records must be kept off the network. We won't know where he will be until it we're deep inside."

"Also note that they don't care if there is a riot, but if the riot threatens the guards, rioters will be shot - an interview with a former inmate. A news report verifies this."

Malkav nodded at Teo, who stared back at him with his blank stare. Malkav said "Well, that knocks off the idea for the riot. If we can put him in solitary confinement however, we will know where to at least look for him. If we can insert ourselves into the station by stealth, than perhaps Teo can shut off the guards quarters so that no reinforcements can come and shut off the power so they cannot open it. That is, unless the blow it" Malkav grinned. "And by that time, we should have located the Wookie and be halfway back to the ship. By the time they figured out what we wanted or where we were, we'll be gone."

Malkav turned his head from the Cathar and back to Teo. "Can you tell me what type of radar the station has? Any pursuit fighters?"

Teo glanced at the man who was his superior and searched. "The hangar has a few ships in it. They are faster than us, but we could theoretically jump to lightspeed before they could get warmed up and out of the hanger. We could probably time our rescue with the transport coming in in about an hour."

"Radar isn't an issue. I've taken steps to prevent our detection."

(OOC: I was asked by Viggy personally to take the role as some of the None Player Characters in the Mission, one of them is Tarfoot as known. Also their is no hangar, nor escape pods - it stands in the Mission Description. If you look at the blueprints, please don't find any solintary confinement, their is none.I designed Warburg - all this can be varified by Viggy, whom i gave the information.Thank you for reading this. )

The cruel guards stood before the giant, muscular wookiee Tarfoot.
"Hnn-rowr yrroonn rarrr!'(Long life the republic)" he cried out sarcasticly and the guards punched him, however he did not feel this.Slowly he walked towards the corridors, following them into the "Bigyard" - a place where they all get shut in like Guarddogs in their Kennel.Their was no security in this giant room, no guards. They simply didn't care if they slaughter each other, something that was only done by the desperate, something that was not what Tarfoot was.He had hope, hope given to him by Eris Sontreben, who contacted him through a Verpine Spy who lived in the Prison now for years. Many times the Wookiee faced criminals, one of those was not - he simply tried to protect his tribe, he as chieftain.

The silverback stood tall, bigger then some of the prisoners. His black fur distinguished him from everything in the Bigyard, and even his eyes gave something to his unique look.Suddenly, the Verpine stood before him, looking at him silently.
"The Sontreben will arrive soon - my deed is done.Could take days, but they arrive sooner then you may guess!"
"Youw!(Farewell, my Friend.!)" he answered with a dominating voice to the small insectoid, time was something that you had enough in Warburg.Especially when you age older then a hundred years...

"Good good" He liked Teo,a very useful soldier.

He leaned back in his chair and thought for a while. No solitary confinement, and they didn't know his cell number. There was no way they could search for him inside the prison, there was no time. Once they were in they only had a limited amount of time....

Deep in thought, he said "Teo". No physical response came from Teo when Malkav mentioned his name, but he knew he was listening "Can you block any transmissions coming from the station? So they can't call for help..." He looked up at the rest of the crew. "To me, there seems to be a limited number of options now. I have a inside man in the prison doing time. I can contact him and possibly find out what cell number he is in, and if not, at least what floor he is on. With that information, we could plan from there."

He punched a few buttons on his comlink attached to his wrist and sent the message...

"I can if the only communication out of the station must go through the network. I am assuming it must as none of those soldiers should have anything powerful enough to use alone." He coughed and continued, obviously stalling his speech so he could process more information. "I can disable the communications at any time. The engineers will be able to bring it back online, so you'll need to get rid of them."

Poknor stroked the fur on his chin a bit as he watched Teo working, listening to the info the human was able to gather. Teo worked fast and efficiently, and gave a good clear report. A valuable soldier. With his technical expertise, Malkav’s inside agents and the tough fighters that made up their team, the Cathar was confident they would succeed on this mission.

“Good ideas, boss. Stopping the station from contacting other Republic forces will make the escape a lot easier. And sealing the guards into their quarters is brilliant. I think have a plan for doing it subtly, too. Teo, can you put those blueprints up on the hologram projector?” he asked the human, knowing his mind was connected to the ship.

Once the hologram was up, the Cathar rose to his feet and pointed at Level 2. “This is the engineers’ work area, it has the main terminals. It’s not too far from Level 0, the damaged area we’ll be entering from. Here’s what I’m thinking. Teo and Adelaide will be Team Red, they’ll go in first and move into the engine room on Level 0. They take out a couple engineers and steal their uniforms, then make their way to Level 2 disguised as maintenance workers. Teo can access the terminals on Level 2, with Adelaide covering him. All he needs to do is activate an alarm for a reactor leak or some similar disaster, that should keep most guards in their quarters. With any luck the prisoners will be left out in the yard while a disaster like that is going on."

"Malkav, Samanya and myself are Team Blue. We’ll follow Team Red’s lead and take out all the real Warburg engineers, then move up into Level Three (the Guards’ Quarters) once the reactor leak alarm is set off. After that we’re just one lift away from Level 4, with the cell blocks and the big yard. While we’re moving up, Teo can try and find out what cell Tarfoot’s in, in case the prisoners aren’t in the yard. That way we can retrieve Tarfoot with little to no confusion. Then we just get the Wookiee down to the lower levels again, fit him a spacesuit (and get our own spacesuits back on), and return to our ship. If anything goes wrong with Team Blue, we’ve got Team Red for back-up. Plus Malkav could get the help of his inside man.”

The crew was thinking over Pok's new plan. Malkav had a few issues he was worried about. He had been in similar situations like the one before him a few times before, and the years had given him some wisdom.

He rose and looked at Pok.
"Pok...these are your crew" He motioned to those around him "But are you sure its a wise idea to split up our members? Keep in mind, plans rarely work. What if Teo and Adelaide are found out to be impostors? What if they are surrounded by guards and cut off from our support?" He chuckled at his next question "And....do we even have a space suit that will fit the Wookie?"

He turned to Teo. "What are the procedures for the guards in the even of a reactor failure?"

Samanya went back to quietly listening as the plans were changed. If the cathar was to have any hope of proving her worth on this mission, not to mention making it through with all her limbs still attatched, she was going to have to memorize every element of the plan so that she knew what was going to happen.

As the Warburg station schematics were brought up, she both listened to Poknor and familiarized herself with the station's layout. 'Big place. Hope nobody gets lost.' She thought, an amused smile flickering across her black lips for a moment before she wiped it off and re-focused on the mission briefing.

Once Poknor was finished speaking, she started to part her lips to suggest that she accompany Teo in Adelaide's stead. She was an experienced technician, so she would blend in halfway well among the engineers, or so she thought. But before she could even articulate the first letter of what she had in mind, she stopped herself. She was a cathar; cathar attracted attention. Not to mention her armor and such. She'd have to completely change her loadout to accompany Teo as part of team Red.

Besides that, tagging along with Pok and Malkav sounded fun. Especially the part where they finished off the remaining engineers. A bit of fighting was always fun, and she was looking forward to putting her chainsaw bayonet to a field test... But only if the spit hit the fan, of course. She imagined there'd be a lot of screaming and whatnot coming from the saw's first victim.

After Malkav had spoken, voicing some potential concerns, she finally saw fit to speak up again. "If we don't have a spacesuit that will fit him and can't find one, we could take one of the smaller vacuum-sealed shipping containers - like the ones they use for food and vacuum-sensitive materials - from the station's storage compartment, or even the ship's storeroom if we have anything like that, and stuff him in that. Then we just float him out of the station and back to the ship. That'd require gravity at our entry point being shut off or vastly reduced though, so it's more of a last-resort suggestion than anything else."

With that said, she went back to being quiet, having offered up the final piece of input she had at the moment. All the pieces were falling into place in their orchestration of the rescue mission, now all that was left to do for her was wait, and follow orders when the time came.

He turned to Teo. "What are the procedures for the guards in the even of a reactor failure?"

"Evacuation would be procedure. I would recommend something more subtle. I can implant a virus to give false levels int he reactors sensors. Of course, I need to know what you want them to do." Teo was compiling data but it was beginning to stack up. He began backing up the data to the ships computer.

He nodded a bit as he listened to Malkav, feline ears swivelling as he looked at the ceiling in thought. “By hacking into the HoloCams from the terminal on Level Two, Teo could keep an eye on movement in the station and thus safeguard himself and Adelaide from an ambush. This could also be very useful to us if he keeps in contact with us, as he could be our eyes on the Warburg. But I see where you’re coming from boss. Maybe we should stick together, all of us staying with Teo until we get all the info we need from the terminals. And… ehehe, as for the Wookiee‘s size issu, if they don’t keep a wide enough variety of spacesuits on the station then we’ll just have to resort to Samanya’s plan with the sealed crate. Though I would worry about his supply of oxygen in there, if we move him onboard our ship quickly then it should be fine.”

He then turned to Teo. “Ideally, I think we’d like the guards to all move into one spot (such as their own quarters), thinking they have to for their own safety. Would anything you could do from the terminals trigger such a procedure?”
