Kharr had spent the last two weeks on tatooine. He had began to know the spaceport quite well. His hair and eyes often attracted the wrong kind of attention but it had up till now been subverted without the use of a lightsaber.
It seemed a toydarian was begining to get upset at Kharr's luck with Pazaak. In truth he shouldn't play it's a horrible but amusing way to win when you can see what cards are coming next. Kharr always won.

"Yous been cheatin' me." the toydarian said flying a few feet off the ground. He had 2 rather large friends both holding blasters up. The cantina it seemed wouldn't lend help to either side. In fact Kharr had wondered if the bar owner didn't mind because once Kharr was gone the pazaak tables might get more business again.

Kharr waved his hand infront of him and said "I have not been cheating you in cards." The toydarian only laughed. "Whaaat you think your some kind of jedi? I'm toydarian that wouldn't work on me anyway...now where's my money?" In normal circumstances kharr would have just given the money to the toydarian but he knew that if he did that his only source of income for the moment would be gone, the cantina owner would kick him out for cheating and he would have to wait a month or two before trying to go back in. Even then his
hair and eyes would give him away eventually.

"You don't got the money?" the toydarian laughed. "That's fine I'll just sell whatever you got on your corpse FIRE!" the two trandoshans next to him fired there blaster which Kharr using the force jumped over the trandoshans landing behind them, igniting his lightsaber he ended one of them. "You can leave with your life or without it. Your choice." he said the pale white glow of his lightsaber matching the silver of his eyes and hair gave way to an eerie sort of effect. Both the toydarian and the trandoshan left running. But the toydarian screamed something about coming back with more men.

Gerard watched from the bar, sipping a strange, strong drink that the baman had recommended, though he could not see why. He saw the young man draw a lightsaber, but did not feel the dark side in him. He walked over,

"Maybe it is best not to attract quite so much attention in such places," he said quietly, leading him back to the bar, "I'm Gerard Crace, care to introduce yourself?"

He looked at the man and followed sitting next to him. "That depends...do I owe you money?" The echani asked wondering who on earth this person is. "Could be a bounty hunter...but sure isn't acting like any I've heard of..." he thought to himself as he order a glass of water, the bartender looked at him strangely but then decided after Kharr's show he wouldn't question him and handed him a glass of water.

"I don't, believe you do," said Gerard, "I am the leader of a band of former Jedi and Sith called the Twiligt order. I believe you have what it takes to join the order. Now will you introduce yourself?"

"Call me Kharr..." he didn't know whether to trust this man or not what were the chances of another jedi and one in a group that were similar to himself being on this backwater planet. Then he heard as he had many times a voice like his masters whispered on the wind "The living force is around us and in us you should trust your instincts and pay attention to the moment..."

"You spoke of an order? Tell me more then..."

"If you like, Kharr, I could show you," he said, a wry smile on his face.

"By all means please do." He was now interested in the individual he would still be cautious he had mentioned sith being in the organization as well...or something like that. He knew at the very least this may just turn out to be a very long fight should he meet a sith and that was incentive enough to follow Gerard.

Gerard conjured a force pojection, seemingly real to the younger man. It showed a person in similar garb to Gerard, but this one a woman. She stood there and spoke,

"Once I was a Jedi," as she said this her image changed. She held her poise slightly higher, and grew duller in her face. She looked to struggle with herself, just holding herself in that manner. As though they were echoes behind her there came the shouts of help from poor children and the 'Jedi' turned to save them from another figure. The other figure was black hooded and bore a red lightsaber. As this figure turned to Kharr. She bore the same face as the 'Jedi', "Then I was a Sith." As she spoke, her eyes grew dark and her face looked drawn and narrowed, ugly even. As the Jedi woman leapt to save the innocents the Sith beat her back. Clearly the fight was a stalemate, so the Jedi allowed the Sith to land a lethal blow upon her at the expense of the Children escaping. Both parties had lost. Then they dissolved and from the middle the original woman stood once more, this time radiant and beutiful, happy and smiling, "And then I found the Grey path of the Twilight."

Once she had spoken the image vanished and they were once again in the cantina on Tatooine. Gerard turned to the wide eyes young man, "What do you think?"

"If your implying I have to learn teachings of a sith I think that you should take your hologram elsewhere." He said though he was now a grey jedi he would work for the good of the republic. He would not betray his teachings merely expand upon them without going against the code more than he had to...no he would not walk the path of the sith in any similarity.

Gerard raised his eyebrow, "First of all, it's not a projection. Some of us can do that with the Force," he paused, he could still potentially recruit this man, but he was no longer sure if he really wanted to, "But as you well know the Force is not a lot of cheap tricks, but so much more. In answer to your other question, the woman in the projection was not you, but merely a representation about how both the Jedi and Sith are flawed. We do not follow Sith teachings, we do not use only strength to gain power, nor do we use only knowledge, like the Jedi. We look at both sides of the Force, see powers we can use for the good of the galaxy and fight for the fredom of innocents. In principle we oppose the Sith more than the Jedi, but we walk a line in the Force between light and dark, and if you are not prepared to open your mind to a wider perception of the galaxy as only good and evil then there is little I can teach you. Surely the Jedi taught you that it is a very Sith thing to label somebody in absolutes?"

"Oh I never said that I view the galaxy in good and evil. I just know they both exist." he stated then he thought for a moment of his next words choosing them carefully...

"I see the force not as light or dark but I understand it's the intention and the outcome that determine how it is viewed. And even then the viewer must be taken into concern. But the force is a living flowing thing, it is in and around all beings and if you are to work for the greater good as you say you are you must understand that good can only be truly good when it is for the good of everyone. Even in the case of your enemies. However with this there also lies the need for self survival and that and only that to me is when it is right to take a life when the actions of another put the lives of others in danger purposefully and without a just cause. It's the only reason I killed the one earlier and aloud the other to escape. Perhaps they will learn from this that there is a better path." He said then sat in silence he felt his master would be proud of that, and it was almost in his minds eye he could see that familiar face nodding in approval.

Gerard listened, patiently and then replied himself, "I never professed we serve the greater good of the Sith, but more accurately the Force. And my order does not take pride in killing for the sake of it, such a thing has no good to come from it. But when given the choice to end the life of a terrible person or to allow them to live and continue hurting people I would always choose and advise others to choose the former. Even those who feel they truly are redeemed may be weaker and more suceptible to the lures of the dark side. I do not profess that we are all knowing, all powerful or beyond mistakes, and each of the Twilight members realise how difficult it is to follow the fine line between light and dark, one you claim yourself to walk. But if you care so much for self preservation, surely you would kill anyone who challenges, and has the sure power to kill, you?"

Before the younger man could reply, the toydarian returned, flanked by seven other thugs armed with an array of rusty looking weapons.

"Now attempting to kill someone who has the power to kill me soundly, is a bit redundant is it not? I would merely be putting myself up for the slaughter. No killing I believe is not right unless there is no alternative. That is something I won't change. Everything is part of the force to some degree or another, and therefore part of myself and part of you and part of those who seem to wish to join us for a drink." He said noticing the reintrance of the toydarian and his thugs. "However for a time I think I will join you. But if I disagree with some teachings I do hope that you will forgive me if I do not adhere to them."

OOC: It was a toydarian not a gamorian. ^-^

As he turned to the thugs alongside his possible recruit he said one thing more to him, "If everyone followed the rules to the letter evolution would not exist, Kharr. At least not in the sense of an organisation, even one with such unspecific rules as mine."

As he spoke he raised his hand and four of the thugs smashed into the back wall, three of them now unconcious. He then turned to the others and sent a wave of lightening washing over them, enough to render two more unconcious. The toydarian, holding a pistol fired, but the bolt simple bounced off of Gerard's hand and zoomed back onto one of his wings, knocking him from his flapping position.

"Shall we go? If you would like training I have a base on Ilum, and if not you can at least gather some supplies and rest a while."

Two men stood outside a Tatooine cantina talking in hushed, worried voices. They both wore clothes of high ranking military officials. "So have you found any leads as to where Arianna and Uriko where taken?" one of them asked. "No, but I don't think they are here Urika" the other one replied. Urika shivers slightly before turning to his companion, named Wolf. Wolf looks at Urika before saying anything. "Anyway we can't continue looking for them until we repair the ship" Wolf says. "I have found a ship repair bay at the space port, but there is something strange about the guy who I spoke to" Urika says. "We must be careful then" Wolf says.

The spaceport was bustling with busy people into an host of activities, not all of them legal. Gerard's small ship could fit more than two people and was in one of the ship housings. They returned, entered the ship and Gerard began preparing it for launch.

He followed the man, noticing the two talking in hushed voices he thought to himself. "I wonder what they could want..." he thought about stopping to ask but gerard had just kept walking so Kharr decided to follow.

They reached the spaceport the place was full of rather unsavory types and the intense amount of deception that could be sensed just by looking in any given direction gave Kharr a chill. It was sad, people willing to do anything to better themselves, even at the expense of others. He followed Gerard to his ship after getting in and having a seat he asked. "So...where is it we're going then?" he asked curiously.

Gerard was fiddling with the panel when the younger man spoke, "To Ilum. A planet reeling with Force energy and where my academy lies."

He thought a second about two strange men whom he had seen wandering and talking in low rasping whispers, no stranger than anyone else here but he had a strange tug through the Force as he saw them. He noticed he could see them from the cockpit of his ship and decided to watch from there for a while before leaving.

Kharr sitting looking about the ship realized his new found companion wasn't getting ready for take off anymore. It was then he noticed the two men were there, visible from the cockpit. "Tell me Gerard...do you believe in the ideals of the living force?" he asked, his master had explained his beliefs most of the masters of the jedi focused on the force which required meditation always looking to the future. But those few like himself and his master followed an ideal slightly different, that of a living force, one that focuses on the now in order to achieve the future.
