Okay, in honor of the AMAZING premiere episode of the fourth season of the best shows on television (in my opinion), I thought I'd post a thread so that everyone could post their opinions and predictions on the rest of the season and talk about overall just EVERYTHING Walking Dead related!

Season 4 premiere was okay. It hit the sweet spot for the majority of the episode. Tense scenes, emotional moments, and awesome action sequences. I wasn't a fan of the cliffhanger though, was hoping to see more the new prison set up before everything went to hell.

Season 1 was mediocre, but I was interested enough to watch it. Season 2 was rubbish. When I realized the show was really "Walking People Arguing with Zombies Showing up Sometimes" I stopped and went back to the comic.

I enjoyed season 1 and season 2 the most. Season 3 was alright, but I didn't enjoy the second half very much. Also, the comic is very "Walking People Arguing with Zombies Showing up Sometimes" at times, and I think it's important to not have every episode be full of zombies and very action oriented.

Haha, I have. Since #100 I haven't been as interested in the comic series as I before, but the last few issues have been fun to read. The time spent at the prison is a great example of what makes the comic work. You see these group of people building themselves up and it's wonderful. Rick's evolving relationship with his family and his leadership duties sets up great emotional scenes. The politics within the prison keep the action going strong as well.

It's a tough balance between strong emotional scenes and amazing action sequences. Breaking Bad found the balance. The Walking Dead has proven it can provide amazing action sequences, but it's had trouble establishing consistent strong emotional scenes. Dale's death was ****ing emotional. The last moments between Rick and Shane were emotional, as was Carl's choice in killing Shane. The groups struggle of whether or not to adapt their moral compass was interesting to watch pan out.

Season 2 was slow, but it was probably the strongest season in character growth. Season 3 made a departure from that in favor of a faster paced, more action packed season. It didn't work for me. I'm hoping season 4 hits the sweet spot between the two.

From what I read from the comics, I sorta expected it, but damn... Lot of deaths and surprises. Just when I thought Blake would turn over a new leaf, he goes back to his old ways and like before, loses everything because of it.

Yes, mid-season finale was mother of god awesome and had me on the edge since the start of the showdown. **** them for killing off one of my favorite characters and one of the back bone members of the group, but I guess it had to happen.

Though the show has diverted from the comics a lot, the Mid-Season Finale was close enough to make it insanely exciting. They even did some aspects better! Like, the tank actually having ammunition.

Season 4 is coming to a close next Sunday. Been smooth the second half of the season though until last week's episode.

I am curious what will happen in the next two episodes, and how the journey to Washington DC will start and go.

I was thoroughly shocked with last week's episode. I can't wait to see where this goes, though I'm not hopeful to where Daryl's story arc is going.
