Utapau had become a world of horror and death, AMS outbreak had decimated the populace leaving it a tomb world of the undead. For years the planet had been cut off from the outside Galaxy, none brave enough to set foot on the diseased planet, lest they catch it themselves. But a lot of time had passed, a vaccine was now available and much of what was half-dead on Utapau would be a rotting pile of flesh and bone.

So the planet was once again becoming available to the outside Galaxy and with it, Utapau’s riches in Kyber Crystals. With the mass seizure of Sith Lightsabers after the imperial betrayal, these crystals had become sought after items and Malerion was keen to utilise the demand.

A Malleus-Class Gunship descended into one of the giant pits that dotted the planet’s surface, once home to a major mining corporation, this was the closest they would be able to land to the Kyber deposits. Malerion stood just behind the pilot, his eyes scanning the edge of the pit. “Keep sensors and weapons active. The Force only knows what has become the dominant species after the past few years.” He said, without sentient life to hunt, the wild beasts of the planet would be free to expand and multiply throughout the planet's surface.

Moving back into the communal area, he took the two steps down from the cockpit to where Nova was. The Sith had accompanied him to the planet, searching for a new Kyber Crystal of her own. Malerion had not had the shame of handing over his sabre to the Empire, so still had his clipped to his belt. His black and red armour was as always scratchy and digging into his body causing a constant wave of discomfort and anger to flow through the Sith as he walked. “I hope you are ready, I doubt we will see anything like civilization once we are on the ground.”

It wasn't that Nova needed a Saber...but she definitely wanted one again. The feeling of power was incredible and frankly speaking, she simply loved slaughtering her victims with the crimson blade. Whether it was bisecting, impaling, severing, stabbing...there were just so many ways to have fun.

As for Malerion? She hadn't had the pleasure of actually working with him yet, but he seemed just like the right man to help her get what she was looking for: a fresh new Kyber crystal to bleed, to corrupt yet another lightsaber and wield the powerful weapon she preferred once again.

Utapau had been affected by the AMS virus and while Nova had no idea what the current situation look liked, her companion seemed to have a point. "I'm ready...not so much of a people person anyway" Nova remarked, hazel eyes fixed on the other Champion while she casually leaned back in her seat.

They were approaching the surface that was covered in deep, mysterious sink holes which were surely a sight to behold, however while they weren't expecting any real Civiliation to encounter, wasn't there a possibility of running into those brainless zombies? "I hope you aren't afraid of the undead though...I heard some decaying corpses are still around".

Malerion returned a visibly fake smile at her joke. His sickly yellow eyes locked onto her hazel ones, the Sith not afraid to hide the Dark Side corruption etched deep in his soul. “Far from it, I am interested to see what has happened to these corpses.” He replied flippantly. “Do you need a weapon? I am sure one of my men can lend you a blaster.” Malerion asked with a sly smirk on his face.

“We are about to land sir.” The pilot called back from the cockpit. Malerion could hear the engines increase in volume as they tried to bring the descending ship to a halt. Whirling motors signalled the landing gear was extended, then a moment later a soft bump followed by the loud hiss of hydraulics as the ship settled on the landing pad.

Before the main doors opened, the cargo bay below them would be emptied. A dozen Sith combat droids appeared from the hold, taking up a perimeter around the ship. “Gunners are to stay in position. Rest of the crew make ready for a quick escape.” Malerion said, pressing the button to open the external door and lower the boarding ramp. “Shall we?”

As he talked about corpses in a very interesting way, he actually opened another perspective to herself that piqued her curiosity quite a tad. "Ever tried necromancy before? Maybe this will spike your interest". Could these AMS victims still be useful? They'd maybe find out.

At his remark about the blaster, Nova let out a scoff."Do I strike you as a gunslinger?" she asked amusedly, her lips curling into her notorious devilishly smirk, "Since when do Sith wield blasters?" They commanded the dark side of the Force as exchange for being an agent of it. Who needed cheap space rifles borrowed from his worthless slaves anyway...

Maybe she was too proud with that, but this also remained to be seen. She nonchalantly trailed her fingertips alongside the walls of the spaceship as it made its final landing approach before she unbuckled herself and climbed out. "Oh, quite the gentleman I see" she sarcastically teased as she threw him a quick wink before brushing past him, taking in the dry climate in for a moment before her eyes narrowed on the first sinkhole.

She was a bit confused by how Malerion traveled with all these mundane assets as she was used to solitude pretty much. She still didn't know much about her companion, so she intended to change that. "This edgy armor of yours, did you craft it yourself?".

Malerion never had any interest in the mystical aspects of The Force. He saw it as a distraction to what the Sith should truly be doing, ‘Ruling the Galaxy’ to many a good Sith came tied down with mystic mambo jumbo and rotted their good years away in some dim and dusty basement. “I have no interest in the madness of the Sith.” He replied, Malerion’s interest was more of the potential to utilise the AMS again as a weapon against his enemies.

She didn’t take the offer of a blaster so it seemed the woman was happy to walk on a hostile planet with nothing but her hands and The Force. That was her prerogative, but Malerion wouldn’t be risking anything to save her if she stupidly got bitten or pushed off the edge by one of these things.

He followed Nova off the ship stepping down beside her, the area immediately around them was quiet, a few animals could be heard in the distance. He looked up towards the top of the sinkhole, Malerion thought he saw movement above but couldn’t make it out from this far away. “No.” He replied, turning to face the woman. “I had it made. You may look to have some made yourself in the future. Being plain in the Sith isn’t a good thing.” He finished before, walking past her and the droids and towards the old buildings that littered the inside of the sinkhole.

Nova answered his reply with a shrug, neither surprised nor actually caring. She herself wasn't too versed with it, but found certain aspects of Magick and alchemy sparking her interest. After all, cheating death and enslaving the dead to your will was a move of ultimate power in her eyes.

They started walking in silence until the armor thing came up, but as she found his views rather weird, she refused from commenting on it any further. Sith weren't supposed to walk around like edgelords. Those who commanded fear, had it on their side regardless of what they were wearing and the past had shown how Sith that secretly stayed in the shadow and started pulling threads from there had usually lived longer...

But who was she to counsel the older man? He'd see for himself. "Up ahead, the-" she began, however he was already approaching the building she was about to point at. She followed behind, keeping her gaze not only on the target but around it, trying to make out movements, but so far everything seemed clear.

Speeding up to fall back in steps next to him, she decided that her not so pleasant company still piqued her interest. "As you still have your Saber, I take it you haven't answered to Tempest's call...how so? You were one of the clever ones that already smelled the trap?".

Small tendrils of Force energy flowed out from Malerion as he walked, looking and feeling for any sign of life around them. The ambient hum of the Kyber Crystals was easy for both him and Nova to sense, so they at least knew the direction they needed to go. It was just what was between them and their goal which was the issue.

“I mean the traitors told us to leave their space.” He began. “Tempest was a fool to think that after overthrowing the Order and banishing us from their space, they wouldn’t follow up on the threat. There were a number of better places to hold the meeting, but anyway.” Malerion stopped and turned towards the woman. The Sith had his doubts and own ambitions within the Galaxy, but at least for the moment he needed Tempest alive and ahead of him in the pecking order. “I have acknowledged her as the Dark Lord however. I was just lucky enough to do it and keep my saber at the same time.” He said with a fake smile.

Malerion was about to move on when a question came to him. “Do you regret going to Junction?”

Nova did actually begin to wonder whether those zombies were even perceivable through the Force as she thought they didn't have any connections to it...perhaps she was mistaken though. Maybe they'd figure that out later. She had repeatedly dealt with the Kilik, but this was probably different.

What he said was right so she only nodded in silent agreement. "Understandable". So was he an ass licker after all though? Did he suck up to her like many others or was he edgy enough to do his own thing mostly? He posed her a question and she contemplated whether answering honestly was appropriate, giving that he didn't trust him at all, but then again she didn't care what he'd make of it.

"Regret...Hmm well. I had been convinced the venue of her choice had been neutral, actually. I didn't think assembling so many Sith at one spot was a great mistake in the first place, but I couldn't leave her call unanswered. We've soon learnt the lesson the harsh and embarrassing way" she shrugged though, as it didn't matter now.

"I'm convinced we shouldn't start piling up. Not even a base is a good idea. We are Sith. We work in the shadows, not in grande meeting chambers" regardless of the territory it was on. Nova now sticked too subtle operations while they were still so harmed and shattered.

Malerion listened as Nova began her reply, nodding as she stated that the Sith had learned the lesson that they were no longer the unstoppable force they once were. “We are the number one enemy of three quarters of the galaxy. Planting our banner anyway only invites death.” He said in between her comments.

She seemed to have some of the same thoughts as his own, that a single location was not ideal for the new Order. But she wanted to work in the shadows, that was the complete opposite of what Malerion had planned for the Order. He wanted the Order to act in the open, install complete and utter fear in the Galaxy, make them beg to be ruled once again. “Shadow work only gets you so far. Fear, fear and blood is what rules an Empire, you cannot inflict the fear required to silence a populace from the shadows.” He replied as they stepped out of the sun and into the shadows of the barren city.

There was nothing more she had to add as they both seemed to agree on what had changed. However while he shared different thoughts on how as 'an order' they should proceed, she did feel like giving him this one.

"I'm right with you. We will, one day, rule through fear, but for now it's a luxury we can't afford". What remained of the Sith right now was so scattered and weakened and an order full of pretenders...they had to start somewhere but waving ones dick around didn't get you anywhere either and she hoped he was clever enough to realize that.

As they reached the deserted city, both of them would suddenly notice that they were de facto not alone. Following the call of the crystal, they had to cross the part of the lost city they now found themselves in, but while there was no perceivable presence within the Force, they'd hear a low, faint, rumbling growl. "Oh nice...seems like we got company".

Malerion just smiled as Nova continued to put down the Sith Order. “Well you never know, luxury could fall in your lap quicker than you thought.” Malerion replied a moment before he heard the first rumbling coming from beyond the alleyway. It seems their talking had brought the attention of whatever still remained within the city limits.

His lightsaber lifted from his belt snapping into his hand, a snap-hiss and his body was bathed in a crimson light. Frustration, irritation and anger began to build up inside the Sith, he purposefully rolled his head from side to side, the metal digging into his neck, the spike of pain feeding his descent into the Dark Side.

Around the corner of the street came a figure, then another and another, before over a dozen of the half-decayed creatures were heading towards them. “Still don’t want the blaster?”

She simply scoffed at his sarcastic comment, attention shifting towards the rumbling growl. While she had experience with Killik, she had no idea what those half decayed remains of humanoids were capable off, but she wasn't really in the mood to find out.

"Guess we'll see" she curtly replied upon his comment withheld gaze directed at the group of AMS zombies who walked their way, noticing how many were already missing limbs thanks to the rotten flesh.

Let's see what this edgy armor of yours can do, she thought as she coiled the Force around herself, mentally tapping into the dark side. Before they would start running - giving that they were capable of such a thing - Nova aimed for the half collapsed building to their left and used the Force to pull a huge chunk of debris from the decaying walls to bury the first below. Nearly half of them were indeed hit by the debris and caught underneath so that it did seem like they were at least incapacitated for now which gave Malerion the chance to thin out some of the rest.
