Name; VU-435 "Starhawk" Cargo-Freighter

sciship_zpshynq73rv.jpg

Affiliation:
K.U.S.T.O.M.

Ownership: N/A

Intent: The Starhawk is made as the first manufactured ship of a line of models made by K.U.S.T.O.M. with the intent of selling and distributing, as well as militarized use within the factions naval fleet division. It was designed as a cargo ship for transferring supplies and goods between locations according to the faction's needs.

Model: VU Mandalorian Model Ship

Dimensions:
Length- 40 Meters
Height-8.72 Meters
Width- 27.5 Meters

Class: Light Freighter

Crew: 1x Pilot, 1x Navigator, 1x Gunner, 1x Medic, 3x Engineer, 10x Guests

(Can function with a minimum of 6 crewmen)

Complement: 2 speeder/swoop bikes

Armament:
2x Auto-Targeting Turrets (Point-defense turrets)
1x 4-Cannon Manned Turret

Equipment:
4x Escape Pods (4 persons max each)
1x Deflector Shield Generator (K.U.S.T.O.M. Designed)
2x v3.5 "Elevation" Engines (Standard engine models; K.U.S.T.O.M. titling)
1x Type-IV "Asax" Hyperdrive (Standard hyperdrive model; K.U.S.T.O.M. titling)
Durasteel Frame
Duralloy Plating

Speed: 78 MGLT

Hyperdrive Rating: Rate 1

Maneuverability: The ship is a quick little devil. It's capable of fast turns for a light freighter, and can quickly roll for a ship of its size. It's capable of complex moves, but not like a starfiighter. The ship accelerates very quickly, and testifies to the ship's original intent of speed.

Description: The ship is light, but designed for speed as well as combat situations. It's meant to be a fast escape ship when the environment gets hostile, but still be able to hold its own in a firefight. It was made out of a tough material so that when its shields are down, it could withstand some fire from other ships and survive a little longer than most of its class. It comes with an advanced on-board computer, and has four ports for the latest model Astromech droids. It has minor self-repair capabilities via droid or maintenance arms which run on railing to reach most of the ship and fix minor damages with supplies on hand, but engineers are required for more detailed work and larger holes that the ship isn't capable of fixing on its own due to the mechanicle arms' limited accessibility. Its plating is thick to protect from celestial threats on the outside of the ship and hostile creatures planet-side. It was built for speed above all else, but was uniquely designated as a military craft.

Ship Blueprints;
1 deck/level
Cockpit can fit 3 persons comfortably
1x Medbay
1x Captain's Quarters
3x Crew Quarters (4 persons each)
3 Cargo holds (medium sized; also contains droid docks. Can hold a total of 110 metric tons.)
Maintenance Hatches

Nukes are a no no.

Firstly no WMDs. Second nukes in a space battle is pointless. Turbolasers produce more power and more focused.

Explain the self repair some more please.

Explain the guns please. Just how powerful are they.

I don't think berska is allowed.

How much cargo can it carry.

If it carries a medic is there a med bay?

What type of shield is it and just how strong is it.

Welcome to the Tech Boards, we are often unforgiving and argue the minutest details for 3 days and about 50 posts. Have Fun!

It's quite alright. Gotta learn how to properly explain a ship somehow.

Beskar plating isn't okay. Says so in the tech guidelines. Doesn't say anything about nukes, but that's just common sense, those are a no-no (also, last I checked, you can't have turbolasers on something this small).

Other than that, explaining the power of the weapons would be a good idea, although honestly, given that it wouldn't be reasonably expected to fight ships that are much larger than it's class, you're probably okay not explaining them all that much.

The shield generator doesn't really have to be explained all that much, just make sure to talk about the particle vs. ray shield thing (ships are allowed to have both, actually, but can't have both running at the same time, from what I remember of the tech guidelines).

Mentioning cargo capacity is definitely a good thing, if this is meant to be a freighter at its most basic level. Other than that, describing the internal room plan of the ship would be good - what it has for quarters, a lounge area, med bay, cockpit, etc. etc., you know the deal.

You would also do well to mention what kind of minimum crew this can run under; would it be useable with only one or two people?

But yeah. The only things that really have to go are the nukes and the beskar plating, as those wouldn't be allowed, and the self-repair capabilities will have to be described pretty extensively if you want them approved for a ship. Also, those engines and the hyperdrive, those might need described a bit as well, unless they're just meant to be fluff names rather than just saying "the ship has engines and a hyperdrive" and they aren't actually any different than anything else you'd find.

Looks like a good start, man, it just needs more description done and a couple things taken off.

Yeah, no nukes and no beskar armor. Other than that, it looks good. Might want to explain the turrets (point-defense, light/medium/heavy laser cannon)

Yeah, the engine titles are more-or-less fluff. It's in comparison to the Falcon (Corellian YT-1300), which is how I compare the other freighter designations I have. But I'll make those edits right quick. thanks for all the advice.

I still want to know what makes it self-repairing.

Also, when we mentioned cargo carrying capacity, we meant tonnage.

Or at least I did.
