DESCRIPTION​

A relatively newer design by the New Alderaan Royal Engineers. The Vigilant is a general anti-starfighter corvette, with it's array of weapons that makes it effective in doing such.

The New Alderaanian corvette's light laser cannons cover most of the ship, putting them in good position to provide point defense shooting at starfighters and even incoming missiles or torpedos coming into range, making their bombers less effective and even cutting down some before they can deliver their payload. The Vigilant's speed and maneuverability are also impressive compared to other corvettes, letting them engage in combat quickly and being able to outrun and out maneuver their opposition to disengage. Their smaller and narrow frames also assist with making them harder to hit while moving at speed and maneuvering. Their medium laser cannon can deal with more hardened targets and give the corvette more punch.

The Vilgilant Corvette was devolved by the modern Royal Engineers for New Alderaan's defense fleet with it's market availability being limited with only planetary governments being able to purchase, with Free Worlds members being able to get them at a discount.

However, with the Sith invasion of New Alderaan and it's take over, and the Royal Engineers accepting a deal with the Sith, these ships are now produced for the Sith. Although this wouldn't last forever, as the Empire retreated from New Alderaan when FWA forces came to reclaim the planet. The vessel is once again free market, and the Empire would only have limited quanities of them

Restricted. Vigilant-Class Corvettes are classified as capital ships under Galactic law, and possess heavy weapons, making them difficult or impossible for civilians and even small factions to own.

INTENT​

To expand on New Alderaan Royal Engineer's range of product, as well as provide a ship for the New Alderaan Defense Fleet and the Free Worlds.

RESTRICTIONS​

Vigiliant-Class Corvettes are capital ships with heavy weapons, and capital ships cannot be owned or operated by individual characters.
