  • The room she was in now was small but comfortable. The walls were white, only a little dingy, at least in the parts you could see between the numerous posters and pictures plastered over all available surfaces. As far as furniture was concerned there were only two pieces, a rather plush leather couch and just a standard directors chair. Vesper was seated on the couch, the same place she had been for the past ten minutes or so, finishing off a plate of snack-food she had been given earlier and chasing it with some hefty swigs of Coruscanti Vos water. People always told her that she shouldn't pay so much for bottled water, that it all tasted the same, but she never thought so. She was always willing to pay the little extra to get the things she wanted in life, and whether that meant ten credits for a bottle of water or ten thousand for her pet rain dancer Stitch, Vesper was never shy about whipping out her pocketbook.

The reason she was sitting on a plush leather couch in a studio on Coruscant was simple, she was here to give an interview to some yuppie about her success. He would ask questions about her childhood, how she discovered her musical talent and a bunch of other crap she didn't really care to talk about. She would though, because the fifteen or twenty minutes of talking was going to net her about as much cash as the last third of her tour, and because it was just part of playing the game - and if there was one thing that Vesper excelled at, it was playing - and winning, always - the game.

Just as she was beginning to become bored, a guy wearing an almost-too-small suit and a chubby, cargo-short wearing cameraman came into the room. The interviewer looked genuine enough, or well, he looked exactly how Vesper assumed someone that worked at SMTV - Space Music Television - would look. Hopefully his voice was less annoying then your average hipster doofus.

The camera man held up three fingers, slowly counting down to indicate the interview was about to start. Vesper cleared her throat and smiled.

"So, Vesper Almec, how does it feel to be one of the galaxy's most famous pop singers?"

"Truly amazing," Vesper said with a small laugh. "But I give most of the credit to my fans. Without them who knows where I'd be."

"Of course, of course. Speaking of fans, I'm sure they would love to know more about you, Vesper. Where'd you grow up? What was your childhood like?"

"Well, being the daughter of a politician, I can tell you my childhood was pretty interesting - especially growing up on the planet Mandalore. As soon as I had learned to walk, dad was teaching me how to be a Mandalorian. What it meant to be part of a culture, part of a family and how important that was. I think that's one of the most important lessons he taught me - well that, and how to shoot a blaster."

"Mandalorian, huh? Don't see a lot of famous stars come out of your neck of the woods. When did you first discover that you had a knack for singing?"

"Haha, well I've always loved singing. In fact, Mandalorians have a bunch of songs that we sing. Most of them are about fighting, but more importantly they're about honor and brotherhood. I can remember belting out those songs hundreds of times when I was spending time with my dad and his army friends. It was actually during one of those times that I met my producer, Kiitcho. In Mandalorian culture, if you've completed your verd'goten, your an adult and can make your own choices. So I chose to go with Kiitcho to Coruscant. Dad wasn't too happy about that, but he still supported me. The rest is history, I guess."

    "Verd..goten? What's that?"

"Ah, a verd'goten is, well, it's sort of like a test that every young Mandalorian undertakes when they turn thirteen. If you pass, you're a full fledged adult and an equal in our society. My verd'goten was pretty simple. Dad took me to Dxun and dropped me off in a clearing. He told me he would be back in thirty days and to meet him in the same spot. That was it."

"Thirty days? On Dxun?! That place is dangerous!"

"Not for a Mandalorian." Vesper said, a pride swelling in her chest and a confident smile on her face.

"So it would seem. Lets talk music for a moment, have you started on the new album yet?"

"Not quite yet," she said, shaking her head playfully. "With my latest tour just wrapping up last week I'm looking forward to some much needed downtime. It's been awhile since I've been back to Mandalore and seen my family, I'm planning on going back there for a few months to really unwind before I start thinking about my next album."

"Well I'm sure I speak for everybody when I say that I can't wait for the new album to drop, I'm sure it'll be even more amazing than the last one. On behalf of SMTV, thanks for coming on to talk with us Vesper. As always, it was a pleasure."

"Thank you so much, I had a blast. Love you all!"
  • Despite being a galaxy-renown pop singer, Vesper maintains her Mandalorian training regimen quite religiously. She trains in hand-to-hand combat weekly, as well as fighting with both small and large blades. Target practice is one of her particularly favorite past-times, although she's much better with a rifle than she is with a pistol despite her efforts to improve.

Vesper is an opportunistic fighter, willing to fight as down and dirty as she needs to to finish any physical engagement as quickly as possible. She is proficient in take downs, both lethal and non, and especially skilled in close-quarters knife play. Although it has been some time since she has been in the field, Vesper has been known to be able to slice a man's belly open before he even realizes what has happened.

Outside of her fighting abilities, Vesper is also obviously a very talented artist and musician. She is able to play a variety of instruments ranging from almost any form of guitar - acoustic being her favorite - to the electroharp. She writes all of her own songs but is known to sometimes use autotune because, well, it's kind of cool to sound like a robot.

A quick learner and a fast read, Vesper loves to buff up her knowledge on a variety of subjects, most visibly in her ability to read and write in not just common but Mando'a, Huttese, and Twi'lekki. Most of her albums are released in all four of these languages.
