PERSONALITY:
Raz'Allas Kullot is hardened, honorable, and full of purpose. His singular goal in life is to end the Sith by any means. This makes dealing with him...difficult at times. His views on what the Jedi Order is, should be, and what they must become are at times radically different from his compatriots. His beliefs mean that any who calls themselves a servant of the light, must exist solely to spread the light and vanquish the darkness. Being honorable however, he refuses to strike down those considered unarmed, weak, and or generally defenseless. This pushes forward into being a man of his word, at all times.

Raz is hardened, at one point, he was gentle and kind, but the mentality of a classic Jedi does not protect the meek and innocent when it matters, but only after it is too late. Raz has learned this, and will always remember, that to fight evil, one must purge the evil within themselves. In a motion to do so, one must conquer their emotions, and harden, as to have a solid defense against the darkness in everyone. Controlled anger, bordering on zealous contempt, is a good summary of Raz's feelings about the Dark side.

BIOGRAPHY:
Raz'Allas Kullot was born to unknown parents on Ruusan or in the Ruusan system, he himself is not quite certain. The Jedi collected him from his birth parents when he was just over a year old. Growing up in the order he lost out an a lot of social experiences most children have, however he learned the importance of duty, honor, and kindness much earlier then most. He and the other younglings in his group were taught the importance of teamwork and collective purpose for the greater good, centering a lot of their training around working with others. One such training was common with Jedi, capture the flag. During the capture the flag games, he gained an understanding of tactics that would later help him in the struggle against the Sith.

Jedi Master Davos Holaren had taken in interest in Raz after his tenth birthday, and chose to make him his Padawan. Holaren was a difficult master, but he taught Raz well. Holaren was a master of the lightsaber, and as such pushed lightsaber skills unto Raz with little say given in the matter. This however would prove to be fruitful, as Raz quickly took to lightsaber combat, as if he was meant for it. The first form, Shii-cho was taught to give Raz a basis, but he showed great promise with Form IV: Ataru. Its acrobatic movements, and need for speed, were right up his alley. This would gain him some recognition during friendly duels with other Padawans, for his skill with the martial aspects of the Jedi was growing, however his knowledge of fine control with the force was not as great or at the least, as well polished.

When he was twenty, Holaren and him were sent on a mission with five other Jedi Masters, and their Padawans. Their goal was simply to scout an outer colony that had been assaulted by the Sith. A routine scouting mission however this was not. As soon as they had touched down on the planet, things went to hell. Some of the colonies survivors swarmed the ship, asking to be taken aboard before the Sith came back, which caused a rift between the Masters. Some wanted to help, others, like Holaren, wanted to do what they were told and not worry about the refugees, believing the Force would guide them. Raz didn't understand why the Jedi hadn't come earlier, to assist or even help the survivors. Tensions rising eventually they decided to deal with it when they got back from scouting. Letting the Refugees use the ship as housing until they got back, the Jedi departed, heading deeper into the Colony. As night took hold, the group had moved through the ruins of the settlement, past the nearby forest, and into the now abandoned mining area. As lighting had became sparse, the group hunkered down in one of the recently opened mine shafts, as it was only fifteen feet or so deep.

Taking watch in shifts of two masters, and two Padawans at a time, Holaren and Raz were scheduled for the last shift alongside a Nautolan Master, and a Wookiee apprentice. While Raz was sound asleep, the Sith descended upon the Jedi. Waking up to the sound of a lightsaber cleaving a being in two was disturbing at the least. Raz sprung into action igniting his lightsaber with a flourish that lead into the opening stance of Ataru; his bright
blue blade illuminating the area around him, revealing that four Sith were engaged with the two masters on watch, and the remaining apprentice who was on watch.

Holaren ignited his dual sabers, the sight of their familiar
yellow hue giving Raz a bit of comfort. His master charged at the two Sith who had teamed up on the padawan, slicing the right shoulder of one of them. The Sith who hadn't been engaged finished the apprentice off, and back flipped a few feet away from his partner and Holaren. Within moments he was joined by the Nautolan Master, and the other two Masters, cornering the two Sith who had slain the Padawans.

The remaining Padawans and Raz instinctively formed a cross, being back to back with one another as they all pushed out with the force, attempting to perceive any hidden foes. Sometimes in life you are a little to late however, and they were. A Sith assassin had materialized at the back of the cave, and lunged at the Padawans, double bladed lightsaber spinning above their head, building centrifugal force before arcing it outward and carving through all but Raz and the Wookiee. The Wookiee Padawan growled in anger as she quickly grew enraged and began swinging wildly at the Assassin, with her overly large, two handed lightsaber. Knowing the other apprentice couldn't do it by herself, Raz spun into action, using the force to accentuate his speed and strength. Jumping in a wide arc above and over the Siths head, he aimed a series of persistent slashes at the Assassin's vital points, trying to vary the speed of his swings, with the Wookiees, as to lock the Sith into a trap. This worked for a little while until the Wookiee became slow and tired due to her wild rage-filled swings.

All it took was one of the Padawans letting up for the Assassin to prevail. He jammed one side of his lightsaber into the Wookiees chest, as he used the other to blade lock with Raz. Holaren and the other masters had prevailed, only further losing one of their own defeating the Siths outside the shaft. Holaren had come to check on the Padawans, seeing the horrific scene before the other masters had a chance too. Rushing to his Padawans aid, he did a leaping spinning slash at the Sith. This forced the Sith to use force push on Raz, knocking him into the wall behind him, as he spun his double sided blade around him to deflect the slashes from Holaren, ending in a defensive stance, waiting for Holaren to attack again. Holaren charged again, and again, relentlessly. Every time the Sith showed the same patience that he had shown against Raz and the Wookiee. He simply waited for an opening, which came when the other Masters went to investigate.

Holaren was momentarily distracted as they called to him, which caused him to become unfocused ever so briefly, which was just enough for the Sith to gain the upper hand. As Holaren cocked his back, Raz watched in horror as his master was disarmed and ran through like a boar. In a bout of anger, Raz pulled one of his masters sabers to him with the force, and began pummeling the Sith using a two weapon variant of Ataru. The other masters came rushing to help, but help was not needed, Raz began pulsating with raw force energy as he fought, and with his next few slashes he released a wave of force from his body, most likely subconsciously. This knocked the Sith into the wall of the cave, to which Raz followed up by running the Sith through with his masters saber. Boiling over with contempt for everything that Sith had stood for is what pushed Raz into ending the assassin with as much ferocity as he had. Zealotry beginning to form inside him towards Sith, as he saw the loss of fellow Jedi around him.

The return trip to the ship was quiet and filled with somber tones, as the Jedi carried their dead. Emotion was an enemy to untrained minds, but even the masters felt sorrow to the loss of so many of their own, which was a little over half of what they had come with. Raz carried his masters lightsabers on his utility belt, fumbling around with the Wookiee's in his hands as he trudged on. The bodies of the Sith were burned at the mine shaft, but the Jedi would receive a more proper funeral. Arriving to a ship full of refugees was comforting, in that odd way in which two people who have suffered from different instances can find solace in each others companies. Raz had only wished that the council had taken action sooner. The Jedi took the Refugees to the nearest space station and gave them some credits before departing back home, fallen companions still aboard.

When they arrived back at the temple, they were debriefed while the funeral pyres were assembled. Raz was separated from the masters during their debrief and kept in waiting, to give his recollection after they had. When it was his time, he entered into the council chambers to give his account of the events that had transpired, including his momentary bout of anger that spurned him forward into ending that Sith. He expressed feelings of being ashamed at giving into the moment, but defended himself by saying that all Sith deserve the same judgement for what they have done, however the masters in attendance quieted him, only to assure him that he did nothing wrong given the situation. Being asked to wait outside once more he did so, for what felt like eternity. When he was called back in, the lead council member spoke, "
We understand that you harbor feelings of resentment and excessive passion towards the Sith, however we feel that these have come about from the recent experiences you had, and or are only momentary. You have always shown an aptitude for the Jedi way, and you even expressed remorse for giving into anger. This is what has driven our decision. We feel that you are ready for Knighthood. Raz'Allas Kullot, you may take your trials now, and always remember what your master taught you as you go forward on the path of the light. Dismissed.", Raz left the council chambers, in what is best described as shock and awe. He had been a Padawan for ten long years, he had been with the order for nineteen years, yet now, he was ready to become a Jedi Knight. All of what had transpired recently caused him to doubt himself, and yet yearn for the chance to be more then what he was; to have the power to prevent what he had seen from happening again. He had one train of thought.

It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life

For the next six years, Raz had been on varying missions for the order, but he stopped at nothing to further his martial prowess, delving into ancient and numerous martial techniques and styles, in search of anything of benefit. He would be the arm of his order, his single purpose to eliminate all who call themselves Sith. Becoming militant due to his loss of Holaren at the hands of the Sith, Raz will be Judge, Jury, and Executioner; the darkness will be destroyed, and only the light, can and will prevail. Recently he has taken to adapting a new lightsaber design, working on creating a new form of lightsaber combat, to compliment the custom lightsaber pike he has invented.

FORCE POWERS:
Apprentice - Knight - Advanced - Master
Force Speed (Knight)
Force Jump (
Knight)
Telekinetic Combat (Push, Pull, Lightsaber throw, etc.) (
Knight)
[
No more Force powers will be gained. Raz is solely focused on Lightsaber and Martial combat.]
SKILLS:
  • Martial Prowess
  • Lightsaber specialization
  • Deft and agile
  • Analytic mind when associated with combat
LIGHTSABER/SWORD FORMS:
Apprentice - Knight - Advanced - Master
  • Jar'Kai - (Advanced)
  • Ataru - (Advanced)
  • Niman - (Knight)
  • Niman/Ataru variant for Lightsaber pike combat (Knight)
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Raz is fast, and quick to act, however his zealot opinions bog him down. His need for honor keeps him from doing what is necessary at times. His strive for martial mastery has left him lacking in force mastery when considering higher level techniques. If it cannot be used to directly benefit martial strength he believes there is no need for him to know it.

GEAR:
  • Jedi Robes, beige in color with deep brown accents.
  • Deep Brown cloak.
  • Custom Lightsaber Pike: The hilt is roughly five and a half feet in length and seven feet with the blade ignited. When needed the top six inches detach into a shoto, whilst the remaining five feet hides a blade emitter, that extends a two foot blade. This is used in conjunction with his Ataru/Niman hybrid variant that focuses more heavily on the wide and acrobatic arcs needed for maximal force whilst using the shoto as a defensive weapon. The hilt of the Pike can be used to force push off of to send Raz airborne for utilizing Ataru's aerial techniques. Both blades are Yellow.

Lightsaber Form Name: Hadun - Way of the Thranta

Style Inspiration(s): Niman, Ataru, and overwhelming centrifugal force coupled with centripetal movement.

Basic Stance(s):

Enveloping winds - An opening stance that is defensive in nature. First the grip on the shaft has the off hand three fourths of the way near the bottom of the pike, with the main hand one fourth of the way from the blade emitter. The user positions themselves with their body completely side ways, their off hands shoulder pointing towards the target. The pike is held half tensed, perpendicular to the waist, with the blade pointing behind them. The user quarter bends their knee, and tenses their main hands arm only, leaving the off hand loose as to prepare for swinging movements. This stance is positioned such, as to allow for wide defensive swings, and opening acrobatics.

Raging storm - This opening stance is comprised of a very simple grip and posing. The user faces their opponent head on, with the pike being held by the main hand a little over half way towards the emitter. The pikes shaft should be behind the user, and at a diagonal angle so that the non emitting end is poking out diagonally over the off hand shoulder, whilst the emitter is pointing downwards. The user positions their off hand outwards towards the opponent, so that they can utilize offensive telekinetic bursts to set the opponent off guard, as they charge forward to utilize devastating jabs with the pike.

Rising winds - This opening stance is the first developed by Raz'Allas Kullot. It resembles any basic spear form, to which the user has their knees at quarter bend, off hand near the pummel, and main hand roughly half way along the shaft. The blade points slightly diagonally at the target. A Hadun user focuses intensely on gathering power in their legs when executing this stance, building up force like a hurricane. When they are ready, they explode the force outwards in a massive telekinetic burst, meant to send them airborne, so as to utilize acrobatic techniques with greater force.

General Techniques:

Enveloping winds - Gathering breeze - From the opening stance one would shift their body forwards while spinning the pike in a circular fashion creating a buzz-saw like effect. They would then alternate the spin of the pike to either side creating a defensive net.

Raging storm - Hail shower - After adopting the Raging storm opening stance, the user begins to barrage the opponent with telekinetic bursts of force, aimed at the nine strike zones common in all martial arts, allowing for little option to escape completely unscathed.

Rising winds - Cyclone strike - After vaulting themselves skyward, the user with the aide of force enhanced speed, spins their pike over head so fast as to literally create a wave of air around it. As they begin to fall upon their opponent they direct the blade of the pike diagonally downwards at the last second towards their opponent. This move builds up enough centrifugal force to create truly devastating blows if landed.

Training Guidelines: Hefty practice with vaulting, use of fine control force jump and speed, and lastly a lofty amount of practice with being accurate and direct with blows whilst utilizing your Lightsaber pike. Flexibility training is a very integral part to utilizing Hadun.
