BIOGRAPHY
Vardon was very active as a child, always running around, climbing or chattering away with someone. His carefree nature was a natural consequence of having upper-middle class parents on a relatively peaceful world. With one parent participating in designing ships and the other one working on components for ships, it was no wonder that the young Vardon found an interest in vehicles early on. Whilst too young to pilot a ship, he often spent hours on end modifying or repairing the family vehicles together with his parents.
Never finding himself the brightest nor the most well-read kid in class, Vardon eventually started neglecting his education, often anxious to get back out into the world, either to do whatever sports he fancied at the moment, or to return to the family vehicles to continue some unfinished project.
The Gallands were not fond of the Imperials, finding them to be nothing but tyrants, either relying on sheer strength or bloodlines to decide on who to put in power. Instead, they preferred democracy or at the very least meritocracy. Although not very engaged in the budding Alliance, they still wanted to contribute towards making the galaxy a better place. The family had some contact with a local rebel cell, providing them with supplies or a roof under which they could hide from time to time. Despite the planet not being under direct Imperial control, the Imperials still had far reaching influence in the galaxy which made the Gallands relevant for the rebels during times of need.
Around the age of 18, Vardon's ability to use the force manifested itself. Although there might have been some initial excitement, it soon dawned on the family that he could be seen as a potential member of the Sith. Something which they very much hoped to avoid. A major moment in the teen's life was when a rebel visited the Galland home in search of refuge after for a night. After having discussed the dilemma with the rebel, they all agreed that the teen was to be brought to the rebel's base of operations. It was clear that he risked getting into trouble with the Sith and at the time, joining up with those who fought to resist their oppressors seemed safer than standing alone.
Whether it was by sheer luck or by the guiding hand of the force, the Thyferran's force sensitivity was later picked up by a Jedi who agreed to have him trained.
It was not so much the talk about the mysteries of the force which confused Vardon - it was the concept of a light and a dark side. To him, there were no sides, it was all just a spectrum of grey. It took a fairly long time before he finally came to the conclusion that the terms were just abstracts; ideas which couldn't be explained, but were still there for him to feel, taste and hear. He adopted the mantra of "The light shall see me through", not truly comprehending exactly what the light was, but still confident enough to trust in it and the force to guide him through any hardships.
The young Padawan's views on the light side, while somewhat foggy, seemed to correlate very well with those of his elders as they often reached similar conclusions on what the best path in whatever problems they were pondering on. What guided him may easily have been thought of as a simple gut feeling or instinct. But for the Thyferran himself, it felt more like a calling.
After years of training, Vardon struck out on his own to learn about the force and to do good in the galaxy. He spent much time on Ryloth where he aided those in need and tried to gain a deeper understanding of the force whenever an opportunity presented itself. After a year on the planet, the young man found himself surrounded by loyal friends who were willing to follow him - either having helped them or those close to them greatly.

Personality
An easygoing and kind-hearted soul by nature, Vardon often found himself smiling and laughing at even the poorest jokes. He was a good listener but weren't quite as fond of sharing his own problems and misfortunes with others.
That side, however, was not always the one he showed the world around him. He could often appear as a rather stoic and virtuous figure, carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders as he followed the callings of the force, of the light. His almost religious manner which could sometimes make him appear to be somewhat arrogant could estrange some people, while others could find it inspiring.
Appearance
Vardon often wore many lighter colours such as white, reflecting his dedication to the light as well as his own personal taste. With a good posture and years of hard training, the Galland could seem like a rather imposing figure, well built, tall, broad-shouldered and a jaw-line that was sharper than the broken temple glass on Tython. He did, however have a friendly face with kind blue eyes which could easily make him seem much more approachable. The Padawan's hair was quite unruly when unattended, which was often the case, and had a honey blonde colour to it.
Abilities & Skills
Strong, quick, good stamina with a matching constitution - despite not being the most dexterous jedi to have traveled the galaxy, Vardon could be considered to be a rather impressive human specimen. At the young age of 23, he had not yet gained the wisdom from years of experience and he had never been very book-smart either. The Thyferran did, however, have an easy time acquiring more practical skills. For better or worse, he was also rather idealistic.
Whilst having a good singing voice and being quite knowledgeable in regards to the mechanical side of spaceships and speeders, the area where Vardon truly shone was combat. A field which was rather common for young jedi and rebels to specialize in during times of trouble. He found much joy in speed and was therefore happy to pilot quick vehicles, although his skill was better suited for peaceful civilian flights than anything related to combat. As a trained Jedi Padawan, he knew how to use the force, although his skills were far less refined than those of a Jedi Knight and he clearly still had much to learn.
Aside from Basic, Vardon also knew Binary.

Arsenal
Four friends, all loyal, able to pilot a vehicle and a few civilian skills, but nothing combat oriented:
Ship:
- MIA-01 - affectionately referred to as "Null"
- Lightsaber, blue
- (2) Vibroknife
Ship:
- Nexus-class freighter - Coloured white and called Leger. Has been upgraded with the passenger module.
- The Solange, earned in [I'm aboonta kill ya!]
- A Warden in the Middle - Met his first Sith in Mid Samekh on Cristophsis. The two fought valiantly until Vardon elected to flee the scene.
- [I'm aboonta kill ya!] We shall overcome - Met his second Sith in Hask Jen on Boonta. The two fought valiantly with Hask gaining a clear upper hand. Vardon is saved by pirates interrupting the fight. A temporary alliance is formed to defeat the pirates.
- [I'm aboonta kill ya!] Get off my lawn! - The unholy alliance is attacked by the pirates but together, they manage to defeat their foes.
- [I'm aboonta kill ya!] A handshake at the Elbe - Successfully attacks the pirate base with Hask and takes their command ship as his own. There is no handshake at the Elbe.
- [?] Liberty or coin - Meets and befriends the Kel Dor Ko Atoln on Nar Shaddaa. Also encounters Devaronian slave traders and takes it upon himself and his new friend to end the operation.
- [?] X marks the spot - Locates the Devaronian's base of operations and ends it along with Ko Atlon. Seeing the heinous conditions and poor treatment of the captives, the allies keep pursuing their foes to end the operations for good.
- [?] - continuation of above
- Into the Abyss - Met with Samael Aeveroth to remove a dark presence on Daupherm. The two padawans defeated what seemed like two dark cult leaders. Vardon brought the enthralled cultists to the Solange once the leaders were dead while Samael brought the cult's treasure to the alliance.
- When I get out, I will... - Met the Sith Irolia Shen when he responded to her distress signal. The two mostly helped each other out after he helped free her from captivity. They didn't part on overly good terms as he prevented her from killing a few pirates and she beat him up over it.
- An Honoring - Attended an rebel ceremony, honouring those who had fallen.
- Ode to Joy(euse) - Traveled to Ryloth in search for a holocron with Jedi Knight Kae'leigh Tameris. Unfortunately, the holocron was nowhere to be found. They did, however, find a sword with the Knights family insignia.
