Vaet Dantan Sertur was born in the year 6900 to a relatively small family, him being the only child to his parents, Asha Maeld Sertur and Dantan Garrit Sertur. With his father a civil servant to the Mandolorian government and his mother staying at home to supervise the rearing of their child, his upbringing was relatively normal, and even somewhat mundane, even when his father was conscripted into the military, and the child was drafted into the youth corps., and put into training for military action.

Indeed, he was nonplussed by the training and endured it with relative ease. In physical exams he was relatively excellent, just as most of his companions through the school were. It was in his martial and strategic classes that he really shone. Where others hesitated, or showed empathy, or generally allowed their nature to get in the way of their warfare. In this, Vaet showed nothing of their hesitation. He would sacrifice men as readily as he would spend coin if it meant achieving victory. In the same way, his simulated wars often ended with not only the enemy army defeated, but their entire holdings annihilated in the process.

Brutality came easily to him, and for that, he showed much promise and rose quite high amongst his youthful peers. However, he denied accelerated origins, preferring by choice to begin as a grunt like all of his fellows. Even there, though, his prowess in combat and martial decisions won him much fame and would have set him up for a fast rise through the ranks of the Imperial military, if he had not left the service. It was shortly after the conquering of the Mandolorians by the Sith, and just days after he'd received news that his father had passed that he put in his resignations and used what money he'd saved up and earned to pay off his debts before abandoning the Empire and his grieving mother for a life independent.

It has been nearly three years since then, and he's begun to make the rounds as a freelance gun for hire, earning a small reputation as one who always completed the job.

When first met, Vaet seems relatively normal enough. While a bit unapproachable, he can be quickly engaged once you've attracted his attention, and then he seems to be amiable and normal. It's only when you've known him a while, after you've served with him or worked a job at his side that you begin to notice the irregularities in his behavior. It's just slight things, like sometimes he'll seem completely oblivious to the needs of his men or really anyone besides himself. And it seems that he has complete confidence in his every action.

And then there's the queer way he reacts. There just seems to be the slightest pause. Only his longest and closest companions seem to truly notice this, but they're loyal enough by that point that they discount the strangeness. And yet he still has that ruthlessness about him whenever it comes to matters of war, even in play. And yet he still inspires loyalty quickly because of the way in which he carries himself, as though he has some greater purpose to him. That, and his record has not seen a blemish yet.

Hey there man, not an official review, but be sure watch out for the advanced tech. (The jetpack, the flamethrower, the rifle .etc) They have to be earned via plots. Just an FYI. You are welcome to switch them to non-advanced weapons/functions in their place.

While the tech compendium is a handy aide I strongly recommend you still read the write ups for the technology listed there.

Function: Jetboots
  • Miniaturized jetpack technology, jetboots (also called "rocket boots") are essentially boots to which jetpack thrusters have been attached. Like actual jetpacks, the technology is still not fully reliable, however, they are still common among bounty hunters and warriors alike. The wearer must activate/deactivate the thrusters via wrist-mounted controls. Like an average jetpack, jetboots permit a maximum speed of 50 kph and can maintain this speed for five (5) minutes. In combat, they can be used in short bursts to propel the wearer up to seven (7) meters.

Advanced?: Yes.

The Bladebreaker is advanced tech too.

But I agree with Relent, the Tech Comp does say that the write ups should be read if you are interested in said piece of tech. But I think that's the only other piece of advanced tech you have.

Your link under recording device still routes to the jump boots. Pending that edit you should be good.

looks like some of the coding at the bottom got snagged by all the same URL link. If you add more to the body of the 1st and 2nd part of the profile the side parts that hold characteristics and practical skills won't push the body of the text over to the right I think.

I actually kind of like it the way it's formed. At first I was like, "Oof, time to restart." but then I realized that the aesthetic was kind of cool.
