Key difference: groups like the Black Panthers have no actual political power in this country. So the fact that they exist is far less relevant than the power they wield.Agreed. If anything putting beliefs such as these under logical scrutiny will diminish them a lot more than merely saying "it's bad because it's bad."
By the way, there are black supremacists as well (Black Panthers, etc). Pretty much there are supremacists from every race and nationality, in varying degrees. At the lowest extreme, it's simply as tame as saying that people need some form of pride in their cultural identity to actually have a cultural identity.
