Boden wasn't entirely sure what his purpose was. Crimson Dawn seemed to believe that telling him over and over again, 'You serve us. You protect us.' wouldn't get old. Was it wrong to want something more? Was it taboo to understand yourself and your true nature? Boden only knew violence, but he was good at it, so he didn't think much of it. Where did the skill come from? He knew his foggy memory had to do with the Syndicate's tampering, he just couldn't prove it. What was it about him that was so dangerous that he needed a reboot?

Deep in Coruscant's underworld, Boden prowled about for answers. He wasn't desperate enough to waste money on fake fortune tellers. Instead, he sought out splicers and other tech savvy individuals who may be able to crack their way into Boden's mind to see if it had been tampered with. If someone could actually repair his memory, the Enforcer was willing to pay handsomely. Either way, Boden wasn't going to live his life as a puppet for others. He wasn't completely a machine- his beating heart was proof of that.

"Lily...and the Moon..." Boden recited to himself. "I see you everywhere," The same familiar face of a woman he didn't know liked to resurface in his thoughts every once in a while. "If there's another world... I will meet you there." It was immensely frustrating trying to decipher not only her relevance, but this strange pull to something Boden couldn't explain. It was malevolent and cold, and yet nostalgic and alive. A veil was pulled over his eyes and yet slivers of truth seeped in and out like a fever dream. They kept spinning around in his head like a broken record;

Lily.

Lost.
Master.
Revolt.
Lily.
Lost.
Master.
Revolt.
Lily.
Lost.
Master.
Revolt.

The woman had to be Lily. Boden's strange instinct to protect and serve at the thought of her made him wonder what she was to him, if she was anything at all but some strange figment that could've been designed by Crimson Dawn's cruelty. She was the answer to who Boden Wills was.
She has to be...

Coruscant had fallen and the galaxy had been plunged into chaos. The ecumonopolis had been forever changed and it became a battlefront. Monsters of unknown origin were still at large and in great numbers. It was a dream come true for Demagol.

These creatures were unlike anything Maan Vizsla had ever seen before. Knowing there was a good chance he was going to encounter such a monstrosity, the Apex Contractor had come well prepared to complete his objectives. In his hands he carried a lethal T-7 ion disruptor rifle. A pair of ATA pulse wave pistols were holstered on his hips while a DXR-6 disurptor rifle resided on his back. Webbing and ammo pouches were fitted to the outer shell of his cybernetic body to carry extra ammunition and ordnance.

Maan had come to Coruscant to test himself. As a Mandalorian, as a Trandoshan, as a predator he sought dangerous game. As a student of the medical field he wanted to learn about what created such abominations. If he felled one of these creatures he would be renown and furthermore he might get a chance to study them.

The cyborg mercenary was over ninety percent machine parts and synthetic material thanks to Czerka's machinations. He had them also to thank for his regularly available resources. Sponsors had funded the killer since his rebirth and allowed him to outfit himself with the deadliest technology in the galaxy.

Demagol was not so full of himself to believe he was safe. Far from it. He knew he was on safari in this jungle of metal, stone and glass. There were safer parts of the planet, ironically it was the underworld both literal and metaphorical. He would try to verify a foothold to operate out of hence forth. Then he could run a few more of his personal ventures. It was also here that Maan needed to pay a visit to the Mistress of Pain, if it was still up and running that is. (@homewrecker ) That was his first choice as far as public drinking holes.

Until he restablished a connection with a local fixer Maan was on his own. The Trandoshan Mandalorian was fully prepared to maintain his own body and knew how to make repairs. However the cyborg did not intend on getting injured. Though as far as he could see there were a few individuals that were surviving, thriving even in the lower levels of Coruscant.

Boden made his way through the quiet streets of the Underworld. Occasionally, he’d get a few stares, probably due to the weaponry he was equipped with. The AZ-17 carbine sling over his shoulder wasn’t really a Core-Friendly firearm, but no one was going to stop the Enforcer. Or at least no one stupid enough. The heavy blaster pistol holster at his hip probably paired well with his naturally menacing look that warned, ‘Don’t try it. I’m not in the mood.’ Everyone seemed more concerned with the nightmarish monsters that ravaged the surface anyway.

There was something about them that triggered that mysterious feeling Boden felt periodically, but didn’t understand. In fact, the very planet seemed to beckon him to summon that familiar sensation. If only the Anzat knew how to call it as it seemed to call him.

Another figured caught the cyborg’s eyes- another cyborg. But this one was much more machine than Boden was. The arsenal of weapons meant this man meant business, too. Someone not to be messed with. Maybe there was a chance this brute had enough brains to assist Boden with his problem- are at least point him in the right direction. Regardless, the walking war machine was not to be made into an enemy.

“Who’s your donor?” Boden approached Maan, deciding it would be easier to be up front with the metal beast. “I need someone to crack my code open.” His voice modulator was low and guttural, also meant for intimidation- not that the other cyborg cared. “My people veiled my memory databanks. I need new people to unveil it.” Crimson Dawn did what they thought was necessary for the benefit of the Syndicate- but why? What were they hiding from him? Boden came to trust the Syndicate’s decisions, but as one of their Enforcer’s, he would’ve liked a little more explanation than, ‘You are meant to serve our interests. You are meant to protect our assets.’ In fact, Boden planned on leaving the group entirely depending what exactly they were safeguarding.

The voice of a stranger addressing him triggered a response in the contractor. "What?" His harsh vocabulator far from welcoming. But the stranger explained, earning a slight cocking of the Trandoshan's head. The armored faceplate covering his actual face prevented his cold expression from being seen. A trait that seemed to still follow the Mandalorian cyborg despite not wearing beskar'gam.

"So you just ask anybody on the street if they want to access your brain?" It was not that Maan could not check on the cyborg but did he really want to? "Why would I want to kark around in your brain when I barely want to be in mine?" Even if he wanted to Maan did not have the facilities on Coruscant to help him. But that did not mean they could not acquire them. Plenty of facilities on the ecumonopolis had been abandoned and their equipment was left ripe for the taking. Otherwise he would have to probably direct this stranger towards a sponsor like Czerka or Blackwell unless they wanted to go with a Hutt.

"You're obviously not just anyone." Boden then made an audible sigh. "You think some random civy would be wearing your specs?" It was obvious that Maan had a generous benefactor, but the Enforcer didn't care too much for networking. Not right now. "I didn't ask you to rumage through my brain either, Chrome-Dome. I need to be pointed in the right direction." Boden winced a bit after the minor insult slipped out of his voice box. The metal beast in front of him looked promising but looks weren't everything were they? Regardless, Boden didn't have time to argue with anyone- especially not down here.

"I'll pay you, if that's what you want." Boden went to fold his arms, but a loud shriek echoed about the street, causing the Enforcer to instead draw his heavy blaster carbine. They weren't alone, it seemed. Maybe these beasts were what this guy was after. Was he the hunter or the hunted? Boden didn't care, but maybe if he gave the metal beast an assist, he'd be more compliant. "Name your price."

Maan grumbled at Boden's logic, accepting it. The trandoshan had a history of surgical operations during his time in the Free Worlds Alliance. But most of the time these days he pulled people apart rather than put them back together.

Being called chrome-dome was hardly an insult. In the mandalorian's eyes he was made stronger by the upgrades to his physique. Boden would be best served for increasing the amount of cybernetic parts he had, if he could handle it. Not everyone could adapt to a life with a full body cybernetic or the military grade hardware. He was better than both organic and droid.

A shriek bounced off the walls of the lower levels. The harsh sound made it hard to pinpoint its exact origin but the Vizsla centered his cold gaze down the street ahead. Maan hefted the T-7 ion disruptor in his hands, aiming it roughly in the direction of the screech. "Let's call it a blank check." He suggested, implying that Boden would owe him one, a favor to be called at a later date. Hopefully Boden would not regret it.

The cyborg was calm and collected as he sighted in on the shadows ahead of them, looking for a target. A varmint of some kind came out of an alley low to the ground and stopped halfway before running back the way it came, having changed its mind. But a heart beat later and nothing came. It should have shown itself by now.

The weapon in Maan's hands was cut in two as a monster leapt from the shadows and nearly blindsided the contractor. Only his fast reflexes and instinct saved him from losing a limb. The two halves of his recently purchase weapon lay at the feet of the beast he had come to hunt.

"Clever bitch." He snarled and tensed. It looked at him hungrily, ready to pounce again like the predator it was. But it waited, just as Maan hesitated in drawing his backup disruptor. He did not even know if the creature was female but the Mandalroian was annoyed the abomination had destroyed the T-7.

Luckily for Maan, Boden was able to keep his hands on his carbine and managed to get a single shot off on the beast, hitting it's left pectoral area. These abominations were quicker to retaliate than the cyborg had calculated and was soon knocked on his back after the beast wacked him with his tendrilled tail. After assessing it's new target, the abomination lunged on top of Boden hoping to tear him apart, but the Enforcer was prepared with his gun still in hand and managed to land another heavy blaster bolt in the beast's stomach, forcing it to pounce off of the Anzat-borg.

"Confirmed hit-" Unfortunately for Boden, the beast had managed to tear up the Enforcer's left arm before it made it's retreat. Getting back on his feet, Boden wouldn't allow the pain to hinder his performance. The fight wasn't over yet. "-chest and stomach. One shot each. Tougher than I expected..." The armor that was supposed to protect him took more of a beating, but it was rendered useless now. Dark red blood began to pour out of the gashes in the armor where the monster had slashes his bicep and forearm.

"It will bleed, too..."

@Darasuum

Rolled a 33 to hit the target.
Barely a success with equal setbacks.

"It's one of those creatures." He referred to the news reports, expecting the stranger to know what he was talking about. "They're as tough as rancors. That blaster isn't going to be enough."

Boden had adjusted to the abomination far better than Maan had. This was an experiment for the Vizsla but as he drew both of his ATA pulse wave pistols the monster reacted with its tail, sensing the threat and slicing the cyborgs arms. The armor plating over the forearm housing was severely wrent but both arms were still operational. However the two pistols were no more.

The monster turned to face Maan and took in a deep breath. Dust and debris began to move towards the abomination, seemingly drawn in by its inhalation only to then let out an ear splitting howl. The cyborg did not understand the force bellow attack exactly but he got to be on the reciving end of it as he was sent flying backwards several meters. His heavy fully cybernetic slammed into a concrete wall, cracking it on impact.

As the chaos with the abominations unfolded, a figure slowly began to stride towards the two beings combating the beasts. They were his pets, after all, and it was time for them to feed. The wraith had unleashed his children upon Coruscant and thus far they continued to run rampant. The Senate marked him as a galactic enemy and he kept himself elusive, an entity that never lingered in the same place too long.

Coruscant was a constant. There was a nexus here that was exquisite, and the creatures rallied around it. He was empowered here, and he loved that smell of fear. It was all around him and he took a detour from visiting one of his forgemasters.

“Indeed,” The wraith’s voice calmly rang out in response to the Mandalorian’s sentiments towards the abominations, “It will not be enough.”

Even though Boden wasn’t the target of the scream, something jolted inside of the Anzat-Borg- but it had nothing to do with his cybernetics. Again, that same damned familiar feeling fueled by some sort of past rage that could only be described as Deja Vu, and that’s when shit really started getting messy.

Boden wasn’t on Coruscant anymore, but in an operating room holding a woman in his hands, surrounded by shadow figures of those who set him on this path, watching closey. She wasn’t dead yet, but Boden knew she was gone. Her beautiful blond hair was matted dark red with her own blood- or maybe her hair was always that red.

He was supposed to protect her, but he failed. The love and adoration he felt fueled the agonizing wrath inside of him. The eerie figures hovering over Boden’s shoulder were then ripped apart by a super powered scream of his own making.
It all made a little more sense now.

Lily.
Lost.
Master.
Revolt.

When the Enforcer blinked, he was back in the fight against the monster that screwed the two Cyborg’s over. Except, the Enforcer was on his knees, holding someone that was no longer there. Some sort of liquid was leaking from Boden’s eyes, to which he carefully traced his cheeks, wondering if he was bleeding from second hand boom-burst shock.

Instead, the broken man found that he was crying. He was feeling again, and this feeling wouldn’t go away. What he experienced was a loose memory- not the truth, but something Boden wouldn’t let slip away. That woman was his whole galaxy and they ripped her away from him somehow. He needed more information. Why did he love her so? Who were those men in the operating room? Why was the room important enough to be remembered?

Maan’s body being thrown against the wall, seemingly helpless, didn’t gain the Cyborg’s interest. Instead, this new figure that emanated that same feeling this whole planet was reeking of got the Enforcer back on his feet. Thanks to Crimson Dawn, Boden didn’t remember the other Anzat right away, but after Raze spoke, the Enforcer knew exactly what and who he was dealing with.

“Is there a chance…” Boden’s red eyes peered up, meeting Raze’s own monstrous glare. “Is there chance I walk out of here…knowing more than when I arrived?” He challenged, his voice sounding desperate and grave.

“What in the fucking hell was that?!…” He bellowed to no one in particular. “…Who am I…” He said softly, to himself, clawing for the hope that the infamous Darth Raze could be more helpful than the cybernetic Mandalorian.

The contractor was in pain, or the closest thing to it. His artificial limbs and body alerted him to damage and stress points. The data of his diagnostics were read like sensations and fed directly into his brain. All of that told him he was injured but should not be malfunctioning.

The crimson creature before him spoke in a voice that made even the cold blooded trandoshan shiver. "It..." He started but corrected himself. "...You...speak." Maan stated the obvious aloud not as question, but as an acknowledgement. It could have probably killed him when it first appeared. It could have cut him in two when he had drawn his pistols or followed through with a pounce and torn into the cyborgs. But it had held back and actual spoke, at least that was what Maan perceived at first. These were not pleas for help, or demands that they stop, only a predatory warning. If the monster had wanted to kill him, he would already be dead. Maan knew if he drew his last disintegrator weapon it would likely trigger an aggressive response. Maan was mad, but not suicidal.

Then he realized his mistake. It was not the beast that had spoke but something far more monstrous. The abomination's master made his presence known. The killer knew of Darth Raze and despite himself arriving on Coruscant, Maan did not expect to cross paths with the dark sider.

Boden seemed to have a mental break down, a psychotic break perhaps. Maan on the other hand was trying his best to curb his primal instincts of survival. Running could trigger a chase response and fighting would likely lead to the Vizsla's unceremonious elimination. "Greetings, Darth Raze." If they wanted to live to hunt another day, speaking seemed like the only viable choice.

The abominations halted their attacks, stepping back obediently towards their master. Raze first considered the pathetic, mewling man that stood almost as tall as he himself once had as Emryc Thorne. The cyborg would barely get half his words out before Raze abruptly invaded his mind. He all but pulled the pin of a grenade in there to blow open all the suppressed thoughts and memories that were clearly fighting to get out. The entire disruption happened in the blink of an eye. Raze would amuse himself and see whether the man’s own thoughts made him implode. At the very least it would keep him occupied.

Crimson eyes then turned to regard the Mandalorian, “Why do you tread in my domain?” He asked smoothly. The abominations would circle both the figures and Raze would largely ignore whatever meltdown the cyborg was having in the background.

Well, Boden did ask for this. Very seldom did he lose his cool, but the circumstances of today were really pushing his buttons. Everything came running back like a freight train, but Boden did not react. Instead, he stood in silence, remembering Lily, the Cadre Project, and everything in between. Anger, sorrow, and even love were present in his eyes as everything painted a perfect picture of who Boden Wills really was.

After losing the woman Boden loved, the cyborg felt lost and without purpose. Some of those same feelings returned, and yet something was different. He wanted something. This wasn't anything anyone else had told him to want. Boden had always been a protector- but now he had nothing to protect except, maybe, Crimson Dawn. Were they even worth it? Yes. But Raze had unlocked everything they tried to hide away from him.

"I exist to serve and protect..." Boden said to himself. Was Darth Raze someone he could trust? Wasn't he just another Sith who wanted to enact their plan of absolution? The Jedi and the Sith were two sides of the same coin- but their wars made Boden's higher ups good profit. "Finding the who is difficult, but the suffering you cause brings in a good income." He stated, shouldering his blaster carbine to show that he didn't mean any harm. "And I'm not against progress." Boden looked at Maan, hoping the Mandalorian wouldn't say anything to screw this up.

"I didn't come here to trespass. You gave me what I wanted." Boden gave a curt nod to Raze. "I owe you for that and for holding your friends back from tearing us apart..." Then he glanced at his bleeding arm that had been torn apart. "As a sign of good will, I'll offer my arm as a parting gift. It's replaceable." He would then hold the injured arm out to be seized by any of the hungry beasts.

Maan Vizsla had a particular outlook on the galaxy, one that may have aligned more with the perspective of a Sith or at least someone with fewer ethics. He only accepted jobs that allowed collateral damage and the deaths of innocents. The contractor was far less altruistic than Boden. He knew he was close to death because he saw himself in the monsters around Darth Raze and knew how savage he could be in the blink of an eye. He was a beast made of blood and sinew, changed to become a more efficient killer as his life went on. All paths had led to this moment which he faced unflinchingly. It very well could be his last.

"I wish to become the ultimate predator." The cyborg uttered forebodingly in its unnerving vocabulation. He knew it was bold to say it so blatantly but it was the truth. With little effort the mandalorian could quickly become the chew toy of Darth Raze's pets or perhaps even a toy for the dark lord himself. Any false beliefs of being at the top of the food chain were squashed the moment he had been thrown through the air by the abomination. Maan was under no false assumptions he was moments away from death.

Raze surveyed the Cadre man first, “Why would I want something that is so easily replaceable, Subject 13OD3N?” Amusement was clear in his tone. Raze himself was once Subject 3MR1K and fashioned from it a name that was now known throughout the entire galaxy, “What a failed experiment you are,” He observed of Boden. Watching a product of Cadre groveling and lost was disgusting.

The Force coiled around Boden’s neck, lifting him off the ground. Raze walked towards the man, the tendrils on his face beginning to protrude in preparation for a feast. Boden would serve as little more than a light snack, but it would do. However, Raze paused after a moment, crimson gaze staring into his eyes, “Obtain for me Sith artifacts brought to the Crimson Dawn,” He said simply, dropping the man. Raze took a small chunk of whatever remained of the mangled arm, saving it for magick later. If Boden failed in his task, Raze would have the means to track him down.

The Anzat next turned to the Mandalorian, surveying him through the Force, “I see no immediate use for you, so convince me,” He said. Really, the Wraith was feeling far more patient than usual tonight. The abominations stood nearby, obedient and silent.

The cyborg pondered the wraith's question for a moment. If the tables had been turned, the trandoshan could not have guaranteed he would have been so patient. "There will be." The rough vocabulator of Maan responded confidently, not intending to sound ominous.

"You could say I'm built different but really I've always been a more ruthless breed from the start, even by mandalorian and trandoshan standards. That said, killing me would be easy, but it would be a waste." It was anything but a joke. He looked at the pets around Darth Raze and did not want to be some common hunting dog. But the divide in power was clear, one Maan hoped to eventually bridge. "It just costs credits to make a cyborg. Anyone can be one." He glanced at Boden as he said those words, throwing no small amount of shade before continuing. "But it takes a special type of warrior to become a killer. A droid can be reprogrammed, an organic can be bribed. I'm more reliable than both." He wanted a decent paycheck but the cyberpsycho operated by different ethics than most. In another life if Maan had been born force sensitive he would have likely turned out one of the deadliest sith. "If you spare my life, Darth Raze, I will do whatever it takes to attain my goal, even if that means I have to try to kill you some day." When he said he wanted to be the ultimate predator he had meant it. Now standing before him was the most dangerous being. It set the bar pretty high for the cyborg and he had a long way to go if he wasn't killed in the meantime.

"I'm not saying I want to die, but personally I find mercy karking disgusting. I'll work for you until I'm strong enough, or you're weak enough for me to consider you prey." He put simply. IEven just saying the word mercy left a bad taste in his synthetic mouth. f that day never came then the dark lord would have a tool at his disposal until its death. If the Sith let him live there was the chance Maan would try to kill him some day. But the Mandalorian was not hiding his intentions from the dark sider, not that he could if he tried. The butcher did not even ask for his death to be quick.
