Unknown Gungan City, Naboo
It had been a week since they had arrived in the Naboo system, during which time they had carried out extensive exploration of the star system with the few fighters they had at hand. But while those missions had gone smoothly, making vital discoveries about the system, the exploratory teams on the surface had made an even larger discovery. Their scans had shown life on the planet, but the teams on the surface had discovered sentient life forms. Natives who called themselves Gungans.

The first contact had gone as well as they could have hoped, but even now another team was about to meet with the ruling body of these natives, to discuss a potential treaty between them and the fledging rebellion. There was much they had to offer the Gungans, and if things went well then they might have allies on the planet who might make life a great deal easier for them. Alys was worried not just for the fate of the discussions, but the two men they had sent down to speak for them. This city of the GUngans was apparently underwater, and they had lost contact with them an hour ago.

"We are not the empire, we want an alliance with the natives and settle on the surface with their blessing." The short burst message had been the last transmission that had gone through to the two rebels before contact was lost. They had no way to know how things were going, and if they were even alive. All Alys could do was wait and pray. "May the Force be with you, where ever you are."

The submersible moved through the water with a grace full glide. It seemed these gungans though very aquatic in there biology, ecolagy and society they where air breathers. The city though was deep though even down here Kruger could see the odd gungan swimming.

The city it's self was built like a old space station. Segmented and inter connected platforms. Each held the water back with a shield of some kind.

His partner for thus mission was some one new to him but Kruger trusted him. Any case the mission was simple. Demo straight that a alliance between our two groups would benefit both sides. For this task Kruger brought a protocol Droid to help translate and a big box. The box was lifted by repulosor with out it even a wookie would struggle to lift it.

The box was filled with gifts and tech. One like the ceremonial sword was a one time gift. Others like the power pack was to show how the gungan could benefit from a alliance.

"looks like we all most here." the craft flew under a platform and popped out of the water in some kind of hanger or dock. There pilot had parked the ship and opened the hatch. The Air was clean probably extracted from the water and the temperature was actually rather warm."while part one done we got here. Now to make a good emprision"

Exploring the Galaxy was the thing which Dev was always up to. He loved travels and as such, the vulpine rebel was able to enlist himself into the expedition to Naboo system. After Tatooine with his desert climate, this planet was great. It was so great, that Dev doesn't need to wear his armor, although he knew it's necessary in case of unexpected battles. So while he was on the surface of Naboo, he was without the helmet, so Sharlon knows now, that his partner is an Amaran. And until the team didn't drop under the water, Kyrrex had tried to enjoy the fresh air of the planet which he much needed those days. The fox was also impressed by how Gungans were living. The place was so... beautiful. It could be a good place for Amarans to set a settlement here. The fauna and environment of the planet are perfectly fit the biology and needs of the vulpine race.

"Will you talk to their High Council or me? I have experience in such sort of things". Asked Kyrrex once he and Kruger moved away from the docks and approached the entrance to one of the segments through which the rebel team might get to the main hall where the High Council of the Gungan city has to be. At least the Amaran has supposed it. However, the Gungan guards seem to be uninformed about the visit, so they crossed their weapons blocking off the entrance for strangers. It made the furry rebel face frowned, albeit he was able to react on that way quickly. "Greetings. We represent the Galactic Alliance and we need an audience with the High Council. Can we get one-the?"

The Gungans were a peculiar kind, living in the depths of their lakes and rivers, despite breathing fresh air like much of the rest of the galaxy, and preferring to habitats in some sort of bubble technology, rather than above the surface.

The travellers were watched by the aquatic creatures as they approached the bubble, with crowds gathering to see the aliens descend upon their city. There had been stories, fictional of course, of angels arriving in chariots of fire, burning through the atmosphere. It seemed to some that these stories were finally coming true.

When their craft had surfaced in the civilian docks, a set of guards had been dispatched to meet with the aliens, determine whether they were a threat, and act accordingly. It did not seem, to the captain, that the intruders were bothered at all by the appearance of the Gungans, almost as if they were... used to it.

Meeting the two at the entrance to the city, the captain spoke directly to them, hoping that they were simply from elsewhere on the planet, and could understand him, «On the order of the high council of the Gungan people, you are to be detained under guard, until such a time when a verdict can be made on whether you are a threat to us or others, on the grounds that you are of species foreign to our kind, and unlike any other we have before encountered.» His eyes darted between the two - both stood at a similar height to each other and the captain, with one pale skinned and hairless, while the other was quite particularly hairy. «Should you have anything to say for yourselves that may contribute to your case, speak now or forever hold your peace» He waited anxiously for them to respond, his finger waving above the trigger.

kruger nodded when Kyrrex offered to speak for them. Kruger was more of a shoot things type in any case. "Sure I will let you talk and then I can show them how the items we brought with work and can benefit them." As they got out Kruger moved the box on to the pier, it hovered there as a crowd watched and whispered.

Moving to the guards they lowered the spears to block there way. Underwater cities with energy shields but they still had spears. Warfare must not be common or bloody on this world. ThoughKrugerr did spot a small swtich under a guards thumb so they may be more advanced than a primitive tool.

When they spoke Kruger looked around and finally spotted the droid as it wobbled forward. Droids where all ways a bit slow in Kruger's eyes.

The droid looked at the Gungan guards and raised its hands "O my if I am correct master they want to take us in to make sure we are not a danger. They are saying we can defend our case right now. Should I say something? I should be able to translate most basic ideas"

The guard captain appeared to be a stubborn guy which was a pretty usual thing for security guys doing their duty good. It seems for Dev, that Gungans either were having a bad experience with people outside of Naboo or they just didn't get too many visits. The fox could understand them and on their place, Amarans could act in the same way, although his race is more scattered across the Galaxy. But these species, native to Naboo, probably haven't experienced the racism yet. And the Amaran hoped they won't, otherwise, Gungans would be involved in the war as well which might turn them against everyone.

"We're not a threat, I can assure you. We have come to you with the offer about an agreement to allow the Galactic Alliance set the presence on the Naboo surface. As you know, there is Galactic war is still there and you won't able to have Naboo independent for too long being surrounded by the war. And because the Empire doesn't respect non-humans by enslaving them hard, I believe we can have a deal to protect Naboo which might be valuable for our both. Sharon, show them our gifts, please". Watching right into Gungan's captain eyes, said Dev and crossed his arms on the chest.

The Gungan guard watched and listened, perplexed by the alien language, to the furry creature, which was not showing any aggressive body language, despite weapons being drawn upon the travellers. The captain was taken aback when the shiny figure, stood just to the side began to speak, and communicate their message into a more familiar language to the crowd of onlookers. With the message delivered using the synthesis that had been begun during the first contact with the Gungans, the captain relaxed slightly, and lowered his weapon, still keeping it drawn, however, as he was still wary of the travellers. Despite this, he was still thoroughly confused by the fur’s choice of words: Galactic Alliance? Empire? War? Human? It was almost all too much for the simple man to understand, as was shown by the expression painted on his face, his jaw hanging low and his eyes lazily darting between the two, as if they were joking, waiting for one to laugh. He whispered to one of his associates, out of earshot, «Fetch the council, they will wish to hear of this...»

He turned, and motioned for the to follow...

Kruger smiled. That went better than expected. The guards seemed to calm down a bit and that was good. Seemed there Droid was able to get them through.

The crowed still kept an eye on them but at a distance unwilling to get to close to them. The pathway through the city allowed Kruger to get a good look at ever thing around them and the city had a strange mix of pre industrial technology and some technology that seemed very advanced.

Soon they where led to door and told to wait as the man that was probably the captian went inside. "guess we going to speak to the people in charge. And remember these people don't know about the war or what is going on beyond there planet. They have yet to master flight never mind interstellar flight. So keep what you say grounded to there world and how we can aid them and that we only want a small piece of land on the surface in return."

That was a small, but victory. Slowly, but confident, with a series of such victories the Rebels will finish the negotiation soon. The first successful negotiation, even with the captain guard, has slightly inspired Dev and he was ready to shot his another speech. He only hoped that the droid would correctly interpret his words and translate into Gungan languages. There shouldn't anything difficult to translate, so the second victory Kyrrex has to get as smooth as the first one. On Nar Shaddaa such sort of thing was pretty usual his business and he has reflected it here. And was about to continue. Perhaps, the fox said a little more, than he wanted to, but the vulpine rebel was thought it was for the good of the creatures. This day should happen in the life of the settlement naturally.

"Trust me, pal, I know what to say. Someone has to say them it one day and I'm glad, that we have outrun the Empire here. At least it seems so...". Replied the fox on the speech of bearded rebel and started to form his speech for the High Council. Indeed, if someone could visit them in the past, they should show some awareness about what's going on in the Space. Right now Kyrrex hasn't seen anything related to that. Actually, it could be a well-planned trap by the Empire, but they couldn't know of the Alliance coming here and hence the idea was out of sense.

The two were led through a door into a small room, adjacent to what seemed to be a public square of sorts that they had traversed. Turning to face them, the guard ordered them to place all their belongings here, before seeing the high council.
An ornate door furnished the far side of the room, intricate patterns carved into it, however it was unclear whether it was meaningful when it opened to reveal a huge domed chamber, with a large semi-circular desk spanning the far side, and an area marked on the ground in the centre of the room for the speaker to stand. Sat behind the desk were 12 Gungans of all shapes and sizes, ages and genders, skin tones and wealth. Each watched with a keen eye, waiting to see what they had been called to hear...

Kruger nodded to the captain and removed his blaster pistol and knife. To be extra safe Kruger all so removed the power pack from his blaster so it could not fire off by mistake. Kruger all so moved the large crate still hovering due to repulsors and placed it in a corner. "This is gifts if you want to examine them first" Nothing in the crate other than the sword was a weapon and even the gungans would know that a sword was a weapon and the rest where a mix of food that a medical droid had been able to gather was safe, metals and gadgets. Everything was more utilitarian.

When the door opened Kruger moved in and gave a bow before standing still and waited. Though so a far all was going while in these talks so that was good.

Once entered into the chamber, Dev did the same actions as Kruger and disarmed himself as well. The negotiations should run smoothly so Gungans need to be sure, that Rebels don't have any evil intentions. The same was true about the speech which Kyrrex have to pronounce with the assistance of the droid. Therefore right after the inspection of gifts, Kyrrex stood in the center of the room. Truth to be told, he felt as he is on a court and about to be judged which made him little... awkwardly. It took some efforts for him to gather all his thought, being observed by twelve Gungans (or even more if there were any beyond of his sight) and tell them to the droid in order to translate them on Gungan's language. Hopefully, correctly.

"Peace to you and your houses, people of Naboo. We're not your enemies and have come to you to let us, the Galactic Alliance, to set our presence on the Naboo. In return, we will protect your home". Started the fox speaking mostly to the droid, so Gungans will hear the only translated speech and their minds will be focused on things which really mattered. The same was about his combination of words which were much shorter in general than he spoke with the captain guard slightly early. To prevent the Gungans from the panic, the red decided to keep silent about the Galactic war and would say it only when some of them ask him directly and Kyrrex will be forced to say about the war in the Space. This was for the good of Gungans as the less they know, for now, the less worried they will and hence won't bring themselves into trouble trying to discover what's actually going on beyond of their homes if that happens one day.

Kruger looked at the Gungan leadership seated before them. They where so larger compared to the other gungans Kruger wondered if they where a sub spieces.

The main person in charge spoke with a booming voice. The room was small enough that even with out a microphone his voice was loud enough for any one inside to hear. As he spoke the protocol call Droid translated.

"master he wants to know why the people of the stars are here and what we want"

Kruger smiled andvdid not face the Droid but instead spoke to the gungan leadership and hoped the Droid could translate on the fly.

"Dear masters of this world, we come from as you said the stars and we wish to establish a small settlement on your surface. This will be a place for our warriors to rest and recover when not in battle and place where we can study your world from. We all so brought gifts"

The large Gungan gave a roaring laugh. As he spoke the Droid translated each sentence. "haaaa haaaa haaaa haaaa you can not just buy land. One must earn the right to own property. We will give you challenges to overcome. If you do we will allow the settlement on the surface. What do you say."

Kruger smiled. This was easier than dealing with hutts that was for sure. "OK, we accept your deal."

The gungan leader smilled as he spoke. "good, follow the captian as we decided what challenges befit a surface worlder"

With that the two out sides and the Droid where led of as the gungan thought about how to test these new comers.
