It actually happened.

Well, looks like we're an empire again. Yay. So, as you probably realize, I have been gone for a while. A very long while. Rp'ing has been nearly impossible for me in these past few months, and the fact of the matter is simple: I don't know what's going on.

At all.

I want to know, but I don't.

So, can someone explain to me the events that have occurred since the start of the new year? Because it seems like nowadays, this empire is shifting leaders faster than a west african dictatorship. Also, how many years have passed since the start of the 5th arc/plot/storyline thing? I mean, it seems like years, and I mean YEARS have gone by, which means my character is probably in his mid 30's by now, and I'm going to have to add a lot onto my profile.

Stuff has happened. There were also a couple things, too.

On a more serious note, and in case you haven't seen it, we're actually gearing up for a time skip which will take us 5 years into the future from where we are now. The Empire will gain new territory, the Republic will cease to be a main faction, replaced by the Mandalorian Dominion, and the Jedi will essentially absorb the Republic military as NPCs (so no more GAR - any such characters will automatically become Indies).

For hints on more recent IC happenings, the last Emperor, Kyuss Thaun died of diabetus during the attack on Chandrila, Darth Malon is now the new Emperor, and oh yeah, the Moff Council got blown up (with the loss of 8 PCs, if I recall correctly. That was a busy day on the Archive Request board).

If ever there was a more appropriate time to try and get back into the swing of things, now would be it!

a 5 year time skip... interesting. But how many years have passed since the 6th timeline began?

That hasn't been specified. At least to my knowledge.

Various people have treated it as being more like two or three. Basically, RL time and RP time not matching up.

makes sense. Guess that means Veran has been a sith for around 7 years now. Huh.

There hasn't been an official date mentioned yet, unless I missed something. There'll be another update in a few days about it. Keep an eye on the announcements board.
