Few in the order really knew what Electric Judgement was, fewer still could claim to use it, and even fewer had Mastered it as Jedi Master Fang had, in fact as far as he knew, he was the only one who had. So he was not too surprised when he recieved a request to teach someone the power, usually however the person asking was a fresh padawan, not yet ready for that sort of power, however there were exceptions, such as when a Jedi had a natural affinity towards Force Lightning, a dark side power, and had no real training with it. With the power gone unchecked the user would be more suseptable to the dark side of the force because of it, especially when they used it. Today was one such case, a Padwan by the name of Lyetta Pearlson had recently arrived at the order hideout on Naboo with an especially strong affinity towards Force Lightning who was asking for help from someone to control it, Fang had immidiatly sent a message to her telling her that he would help her control it by teaching her a power that was both identical and opposite to Force Lightning. Electric Judgement. He had given her a location on the outskirts of the city in a forest, the reasons being that one; using powers like that out in public would be a sure way to gather unwanted attention, and two; Electric Judgement was still essentially electricity which had a tendancy to be erratic and unpredictable when not running along a conductive metal.

So the Jedi Master sat on his knees in the forest at mid day, his eyes closed, as he meditated, centering himself, it had been quite some time since he had last taught, he hoped he wasnt too rusty

Finally someone answered her. Lyetta knew that it must be a rare power among the Jedi but how much so was a little daunting. Maybe they realized how serious it was when she kept accidentally shocking other students. She learned enough to stop accidently shocking others less often thanks to her gloves but her hope of controlling it was waning. Until today. It came as a welcome surprise but then she realized who it was from. A Jedi Master named Lucien Fang. She wasn’t too familiar with any Jedi in the order yet but she knew that if she was requested by a Jedi Master it must be pretty serious. He also mentioned something called Electric Judgment. She’s seen it only a few times in her readings, less than she had fingers on her hand, and gave very little information on it. While the prospect of meeting someone new, especially someone as important as a Jedi Master, made her nervous the opportunity to learn how to control her power and even learn a new one was too good to pass up.

He gave Lyetta coordinates somewhere in a forest to meet up. She wasn’t quite sure what to bring so she brought her basic gear plus downloaded several reference materials on Force Lightning and Electric Judgment on her data pad. She hasn’t been on Naboo very long so she put in the coordinates in an app on her pad and followed them. This was a part she never visited but it was beautiful. She looked up from her pad and took in the scenery. There was a little creek trickling along and the trees were in full bloom. She could even spot some of them with flowers. This was an excellent place to explore later but right now she had more important things to do. She can’t be late with a meeting with the Jedi Master. Jedi Master were busy people after all and he probably had something better to do than deal with a girl who couldn’t control herself. She must have only grabbed his attention because of the trouble she caused accidentally shocking students. Maybe he wasn’t convinced it was an accident? What if he had suspicions?

Lyetta heard a sizzle then winced. Oh please don’t be what I think it is, she thought but it was as she feared. In her angst she managed to summon some Force Lightning and fry her data pad. She fumed for but a second then closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and breathed. I can still do this, she thought, I can still find him. Just a small delay. She opened her cloud colored eyes with renewed determination. It was about midday so she couldn’t figure out which way was which from there but she knew that as she went the creek was always on her right. Maybe if she continued to follow it she will find him. She continued on for a few minutes until she saw a figure on his knees, seeming to be meditating. He was clad in all black, like her robe was, but he had his hood up so she couldn’t see his face. He looked intimidating, at least to her, but she had a feeling. Could this be him?

“Uh…Master Fang?” she inquired, confusion evident in her voice.

As Fang sat in the forest centering himself he could sense a presence approaching, it was oriented with the light as expected, but had a darkness on its edges that flared up at one point before dieing down, He suspected that this presence belonged to Letta Pearlson, the padawan with the unusual affinity to Force Lightning, the one he had summoned here to train. He could sense her drawing closer to him, and he could almost feel her nervousness through the force, he supposed she had more reason than most, Not only had she been summoned by a senior Jedi Master for a personal training session, which would be enough to make any padawan nervous, she had an affinity towards a dark side power that she was likely afraid of. He could sense her just on the edge of the clearing, he made no move, but simply continued to sit there, until she spoke.

"Uh... Master Fang?" She said, obviously unsure of herself praying that he was the one she was looking for, he was. The Jedi Master opened his eyes and rose to his feet. You Should learn to trust your Instincts, Padawan Pearlson. He paused for a moment, Or atleast bring a map He finished cracking a smile as he removed his hood from his head. Aside from the fact that Despite his usually serious demeanor and reputation, Fang liked to make people laugh from time to time, it was important that Lyetta feel somewhat relaxed and more at ease if she was to learn Electric Judgement, as it would help to free her from her nerves and fear which if present and strong could keep her from learning the power and strengthen the Force Lightning instead.

As you know, you are here so that I may teach you the power of Electric Judgement. He paused for a moment, Do you know what it is? He asked. his hands folded behind his back. He didnt expect her to know what it was, most padawans hadnt hear of it, those that had werent really sure what it was and some assumed that the power was just a myth, something ancient lost in the flow of time (though those ones typically hadnt even looked into it to see that the power had last been documented just prior to the fall of the GA). He didnt expect her to know and had a nice little explanation prepared for her if that was the case, though he would be most surprised if she did

Lyetta hung on his every word as he rose up and opened his eyes. He said she should learn to trust her instincts, or bring a map at the very least. She stood there frozen for a bit, not sure how to respond. “Well, I…” she began, revealing her fried up data pad at her side.

Then he removed his hood to reveal a smile. She smiled too, though it was one of unease. She wasn’t sure if he was being serious or making a joke. She didn’t have the greatest of social skills. The best friend she ever had probably was her brother and she almost killed him. She wasn’t good with people to say the least and dealing with someone of Master Fang’s status didn’t help. He stated that he will teach her Electric Judgment and asked what she knew about it. She took a deep breath. She can handle that. Just remember what her brother said that if she didn’t know how to act then be polite and professional. She held her hands in front of her and faced him with a look of confidence, however fleeting it may be.

“I’ve came across it a few times in my studies,” she began, “From what I understand it’s a very rare power since it’s similar to Force Lightning, a Force power typically associated with the Dark Side. Pretty much all of the information on Electric Judgment came from a Jedi Master Plo Koon who lived during the Old Republic and I believe he discovered it by accident. It’s a powerful ability that is capable with killing someone instantly. The main difference between it and Force Lightning is that one feels calm and controlled when using it. It had no darkness to it unlike Force Lightning which stemmed from emotions, mainly negative. If I remember correctly it also is a different color.”

She took a breath from her lengthy explanation and gave a smile. “That’s what I know, Master Fang. It isn’t much but maybe you can enlighten me?”

Lyetta hoped that he would be impressed with what she knew.

Fang listened closely as the padawan explained waht she knew of Electric judgement for the most part she was correct about it and he nodded as she spoke, approvingly. After she finished there was a pause of silence, before the Jedi MAster spoke again, You are correct except for one thing, Electric judgement has only been able to kill in the hands of those exceptionally powerfull and in acts of desperation. In ordinary circumstances a Master of the power could potentially use it to knock out those unprepared for it, but it's main difference from force lightning is that Force Lightning actually harms people, it burns them and sears them and causes great pain, While electric judgement drains strength and will from the enemy. He explained. He paused letting the information sink in and gave Lyetta a chance to ask any questions.

Then he spoke again, Learning this power or even its fundementals will allow you to control your ability better and channel it into electric judgement, keeping you from the negative emotions connected to force lightning.
