Ambition is defined as the want of a Goal. Ambitious is defined as having Ambition. The current operation could be described as Ambitious. It's Commander, Admiral Aengus Cadeyrn, could be described as having the correct amount of Ambition and Determination to carry it out. As such, he sat in the flagship Harvest Dawn, one of the 6 Carriers in his fleet. Her sister Ship, the Majestic Freedom flew silently beside it in Hyperspace, having taken off from a Nearby system, and her commander was someone Aengus could trust to do his job.
"Admiral, Approaching Coruscant now." the Navigations officer said. Communications between the ships were impossible during this phase of the attack, but it would soon end, and things would be underway.
"Thank you, Captain." He said. "Give me a countdown to Hyperspace Exit."
"Yessir."
On his own monitor, Aengus viewed a countdown of seconds, starting from 20 and working its way down to 0. Once it reached 0, Ninety Republic ships exited Hyperspace all at once in Attack Formation. 6 carriers, 24 cruisers, 30 destroyers and 30 frigates, all ready to fight. The entire fleet was originally massed together in one large Carrier Battle Group, and as such came out of Hyperspace in that aspect.
The six carriers were Together in the center of the group, Protected by the Cruisers, then the Destroyers, and finally the Frigates, thus making Three lines of Defense from all sides for the Carriers, followed by the Defenses of the Carriers themselves. However, the ships were staggered, so that the Destroyers could fire between two Frigates, and anything caught in between the two Frigates could be destroyed by the Frigates and the Destroyer, and all ships were alternating above and below one another, taking full advantage of the Three Dimensions of movement in Space, so as to allow the Cruisers a clear shot at anything beyond their lines with Slugs and Missiles.
Now out of Hyperspace, Aengus examined the Enemy's Defenses from afar, having exited just beyond their weapons' effective Ranges.
"All ships charge the weapons, and prepare to fire. I want a good first volley. Do not Fire until I give the order." he commanded. None of the other ship commanders could hear him, of course, but his Communications Officer relayed his orders to the ships under his command.
