nar-shaddaa-city.jpg

The years after escaping slavery under the Mandalorian Protectors on Kashyyyk had been tough for Gaarbecca, his noble quest had faced many challenges. He lacked credits which seemed to be a key factor around the Galaxy… Back on his homeworld everyone traded with items of use a bartering system, but again he had close to nothing he would part from. His weaponry was sacred to him, the bowcaster he made and modified himself and blade on his back was customised for the Great Gaarbecca, the handle being made of wood on his homeworld the feeling reminded him of home in dark times.

He had worked in the spaceport’s around Nar Shaddaa ever since the escape, the band of Wookiees he had escaped with had all gone now he knew not where. He feared that they were dead or worse, enslaved…

He saw slavery all around and hated it, it reminded him of Kashyyyk now and the fact he could do nothing to stop it, not anymore… Upon arriving here, he saw slavers beating a small pink Zeltron female half to death, he became angry, enraged even wanting to make a difference here where he couldn’t back on Kashyyyk and turned the first human up before crushing his skull with his bare hands and proceeded to brutally dismantle the others Weequay and Duro alike… arms and a head were left on the floor with blood oozing onto the floor.

Are you alright small one? he asked in Shyriiwook though the Zeltron didn’t understand and merely shrieked before running off into the back alleys… This was when the sentry droids arrived with even more aliens including ugly pig men and not who levelled weapons at him. The sentry droid emitted Shyriiwook telling him to surrender to Hutt cartel peacefully or there would be violence, seeing no choice he was forced to Hutt whose men he had killed. He was brought to a club which stunk of sour milk and garbage, the smell was utterly repulsive and he was affecting his breathing. What could only be described as a giant slug on a slab was waiting for him surrounded by hired guns, Gaarbecca growled at them as they levelled their weapons onto him. The Hutt began to speak displaying great anger and he was radiating annoyance. Gaarbecca had no idea what he was saying but luckily a protocol droid was on hand and began translating.

You have killed the Great Gorga’s enforcers and lost him a valuable asset, the punishment for this offence is usually death… but the merciful Gorga has decreed that you will be his champion in the arena when the Hutt families’ champions fight for great prestige for their sponsors. You must take part in 10 fights for each enforcer you killed or be subjected to a most painful death” Gaarbecca had little choicehe still needed to free his people and he could not do that through death, at least not here. He’d killed five of the vile scum so a prospect for living even though he was a Wookiee was limited. 50 fights were a high number for a Jedi to come out of let alone a non-force sensitive…

Despite the odds being stacked against him, Gaarbecca had indeed won the tournament and earnt Gorga respect and power among the Hutts, even amassing a small fortune betting on Gaarbecca. During the tournament, the Mighty Wookiee slew a band of Kaleesh warriors who had tried to use numbers to overpower him he referred to them as ‘Bone lizards’ he had fought with his electroblade before the weapon malfunctioned, he simply tossed the blade down suspicious that the weapon had failed, Gaarbecca killed a Mandalorian metal man by crushing him inside his Armour.

He spat on the body of the warrior a dishonour which he would not normally bestow upon any opponent before giving out a mighty roar deep in a berserker rage fighting the last champion who was a Trandoshan who clawed his opponent a Weequay across his neck the man falling to his knees grasping his throat, they circled one another and the crowd was excitable to say the least. These two’s species hated each other a silence spread across the arena the tension so thick you could cut it with a knife, they both launched themselves suddenly and the crowd erupted with an intense grapple now taking place the Trandoshan trying to claw at Gaarbecca’s arms… both pushing and shoving displaying their strength but Gaarbecca was taller and stronger than the Trandoshan he pushed the scaly reptiles arms to the sides before slamming down on the Trandoshans shoulders which brought the Trandoshan to his knees, Gaarbecca was suddenly back on Kashyyyk fighting the slaving Trandoshans as he had done since his rite of passage…

He moved quickly grabbing the Trandoshan around the neck lifting him off his feet and bringing him to eye level angrily starring him down and into the air applying pressure closing his windpipe with the Trandoshan’s erratic movements and kicking trying to feebly out power the Giant Wookiee, the fact he could no longer plant his feet was a major disadvantage and the Wookie’s grip only got tighter whilst his resistance began to weaken and his vision dimmer. After a minute, the Trandoshan went limp, Gaarbecca simply tossed the Lizard aside staring all around at the spectators he’d forgotten were there. He let out loud growls before looking towards the main box where he saw his ‘sponsor’ his eyes bared the hatred that was only reserved for two people’s Mandalorians and Trandoshans… It would prove to be a very shaky ‘arrangement’ for the coming years…

This forsaken world had no trees Gaarbecca thought solemnly, he was beginning to forget what they looked like and the joy of the forest he’d had in his youth and days on Kashyyyk… He’d just fought his 50th and last fight for Gorga the Hutt and he was well rid of the slime ball. He was granted a measly 500 credits for his service where other champions earnt nearly ten times that number, the past few years had been grueling and he had scars to show for it all over his body, claw marks, burns and bites from various exotic creatures that he was to fight for the amusement of the ‘Great Gorga’ he growled in distaste before moving into a cantina near the spaceport, he would see if he could get a job to leave this place… he slid inside one of the shadier cantinas hoping to find a corner to simply sit and rest, he’d had to fight against two veteran gladiator twin Draethos with his Electroblade. He had received several cuts and almost lost but the last one came too close and locked blades with the Wookiee who managed to crush the bones in the Draethos’ sword hand before ending the fight, he refused to kill an unarmed defeated opponent and said as much to Gorga. The Draethos attacked with a knife stabbing Gaarbecca in his right upper arm, enraged and in great pain he let out an animalistic roar crushing the Dishonourable Draethos’ neck instantly with his remaining operable arm. His honour had been taken advantage of once more, Gaarbecca growled whilst looking at the now deceased aliens.

Dismissed from service and his unjust debt repaid he received a bacta pack and shoddily made sling for his right arm to help it heal, from a local clinic and tried to communicate eventually getting his point across, the surgeon worked the best he could whilst shaking scared of Gaarbecca’s size and the fact he was a Wookiee.

What is price for treatment?” Gaarbecca growled whilst reaching into his belt with the credits inside, showing one to hopefully indicate what he was trying to say.

errr *gulp* 100 credits for…. You… Mister Wookiee” The surgeon stammered out, he knew who the Wookiee was. Everyone around Hutta town knew the champion of the Hutt family tournament four years in a row. Gaarbecca handed over the credits before nodding his head in respect, heading where he was currently sat now, after ordering a drink from the bartender. Who wore a strange device that flashed when he spoke. It helped him understand him Gaarbecca thought now intrigued in the technology.

Where would the galaxy take him now Gaarbecca wondered as he nestled his arm into his chest protectively, he had only been in the cantina for an hour watching the dealings of the low lives which frequented this place. The drink made him homesick the brews that were made back home were much stronger than this watered-down excuse, he was relaxing for the first time in years when he noticed familiarly clothed grunts coming towards him. He began to get angry what did they want? He was free now! he let out a growl as they approached.

You are to return to Gorga the Hutt’s service…You don’t scare us ‘Great’ Gaarbecca” the Duro leader said mockingly in Huttese “You only have one good arm and even a Wookiee can’t overpower eight of us with that” smirking whilst pointing at his arm. This situation left Gaarbecca in an extremely situation, he couldn’t kill them all and even if he did that kriffing worm would re-enslave him like how he did with the law on his side, nor could he allow himself to be beaten up or possibly killed.

Gaarbecca won’t go back to being a slave, Gaarbecca will fight” Gaarbecca roared loudly standing up quickly in outrage. He looked around the cantina. Hoping someone would come to his aid...

No fighting in my bar!!” The Zabrak behind the counter shouted to no avail as the Duro and his crew attacked the wounded Wookiee...

Being a Jedi really did have perks sometimes.

Kyber was overjoyed to be back at his homeworld away from home. He had not come to Nar Shaadaa since he joined the Jedi, feeling it wasn't really right that he should be here after joining the Army. However, the Army had done something that Kyber considered amazing: They solidified an alliance with the Hutts, which to Kyber, essentially gave him an excuse to return to Nar Shaadaa whenever he wanted, chalking it up to 'Jedi Business' whenever he happened to go. That suited him just fine. The Jedi didn't necessarily encourage debauchery from its members, but Kyber didn't really care. As long as he did his share of work on the Army's behalf, he could swing by Hutt Space and grab a drink every now and then. Kyber liked coming to Nar Shaadaa, it brought him back to the years he spent as a smuggler, which had somehow become a simpler time.

Kyber had come to this small dive bar in the lower levels expecting a quiet drink and a peaceful night... why did trouble follow him everywhere?

As he took a sip from his ale, he was surprised to hear an extremely familiar roar, a language he had not heard spoken in years, since he had left his home planet of Kashyyyk. He recognized the cries of Shyriiwook, darting his gaze towards the source of the roar. It came from a large Wookiee, crying out that he wouldn't be a slave any longer. At one point in his life, Kyber might have ignored random fights in a bar and just continued enjoying his night. But he couldn't anymore. Wookiees were the closest thing to his "people" that Kyber had ever known. In addition, members of the Army were recently tasked with cleaning up crime around the major worlds in Hutt Space. Looks like it was time for Kyber to do his part.

Kyber drew his Blaster and pointed it up at the ceiling of the bar, firing it twice to gather the attention of the bar. Hearing the blaster fire, the goons quickly turned towards the source, momentarily halting their assault on the Wookiee. Kyber lowered his blaster slowly, holstering it and standing up. "Leave the Wookiee and get out." Kyber said succinctly as he rose from his seat. "He isn't going with you. You leave unharmed or you leave bloody and bruised, I don't kriffing care which." Kyber had to think of a strategy. He wasn't strong enough in the Force to mind trick each of the guards, and if he began a firefight, innocents could get hurt and he would still be painfully outnumbered. As he walked, he began assembling his lightsaber, attaching the two individual, rusty-looking pieces together. "And who the hell are you, you little shit? Think you can tell me what I can and can't do. Gorga says this Wookiee is coming with us, so this Wookiee is karking coming with us!"

As the thug finished speaking, he turned around and grabbed an empty bottle, preparing to strike the injured Wookiee again. Kyber, without really moving too much, ignited his lightsaber and held it to the thug's neck as he went for his strike. Kyber had previously adjusted his weapon to a low power training mode, so it wouldn't kill. But the thug didn't need to know that. "I say you can't, you piece of shit." Kyber said slowly, pressing the blade closer to his neck. "Something tells me your Hutt masters wouldn't like to hear you've been fighting with a Jedi, jeopardizing their new alliance... Leave now, or what you did to this guy will look like nothing..." Kyber spoke in a low tone, trying to make himself look as threatening as possible.

"Oh yeah?! Well..." The Thug began, stammering at this point. "Same goes for you, you Jedi scum! Your teachers probably don't want you messing up innocent Hutt employees!" Kyber smiled at this. "You don't know what we want, maybe they do want that. And you're the one with a lightsaber burning your throat... Tell the others to leave, and then you can walk away." The other thugs looked a bit nervous. Kyber was still just an Initiate and had only begun unlocking his powers with the Force, but most Non-Force Sensitives tended to assume that each Force User was powerful and dangerous. That suited Kyber just fine. Slowly, the other seven thugs filed their way out of the bar and when they left, Kyber deactivated his lightsaber, freeing the thug. But as a parting gift, Kyber kicked the thug in the groin, making sure he'd be in no position to do anything. "Slavery is wrong, di'kut. Now get the hell out." And with that, the thugs were gone. They might come back, they might not, but for now they were gone.

Kyber sighed, turning to the injured Wookiee. "Are you alright? You can understand Basic, right? I'd speak some Shyriiwook, but I don't want to kriff up my throat" Kyber smiled, happy to meet another Wookiee. He had not seen many out in the galaxy, and this was the first Wookiee he had met since leaving his homeward. "My name is Kyber, I'm here with the Jedi. Can I buy you a drink or something?"

Gaarbecca pulled the young Jedi into a tight hug with his one good arm before letting Kyber out "Thank you Kyber You know the language of my people I am impressed my name is Gaarbecca... that worm has had me as a slave fighting for him for four years after I tried to help free a slave... This world and it's people confuse me, I have been forced to kill many people for Gorga and my last fight for the Hutt has left me injured, he wanted them to entice me into owing him a debt again by killing them... I thank the trees of Kashyyyk you were here, You have saved me from a life of slavery and servitude I would not have been able to escape Jedi Kyber and there is only one way I can repay such an act and that is to swear a life debt... a strong drink would be nice" Gaarbecca finished softly as one could in Shyriiwook, he meant what he swore, he could best serve his people through helping a Jedi... He seemed different to those he had heard about and definitely wasn't in a place where you would expect to locate a Jedi but that didn't matter, Gaarbecca was all the more grateful to him he would even groom him if Kyber asked it of him. @Kyber Krystal

"I'm happy to h-AAHGH"

Kyber cried out as he was brought into a surprise Wookiee hug. Kyber was not expecting it at all and was totally taken off guard. He appreciated the gesture immensely, but he could swear he heard the vertebrae in his back pop. This Wookiee, Gaarbecca as he had named himself, was certainly no slouch when it came to strength. If he had been trapped in the pits for the last four years, no doubt he was a formidable warrior as well. Kyber loved Hutt Space, but he certainly wasn't a fan of all the things that Hutts did. This was one of those things.

"Hey, you didn't crush me with that hug of yours, consider that debt paid!" Kyber laughed. He knew the concept of the Life Debt, growing up among Wookies on Kashyyyk of course you did. When he was younger, he had friends that would jokingly try and create life debts between the other younglings, tricking the more naive children into doing whatever they wanted. And Kyber had to admit, the idea of having a Wookiee companion to pal around with was a badass idea. However, thats not why he saved Gaarbecca. "I just didn't want you hauled back to that horrible life. You deserve to live debt free. I will settle for a new friend, sound good?" Kyber smiled again, before sitting at the bar and facing the bartender. "Two shots of your strongest, and I mean wookiee strongest."

It didn't take long for their drink to arrive. Kyber inspected it, immediately recoiling from the smell. It smelled like pure fighter fuel, and this probably wasn't a great idea for Kyber to drink it, but he was feeling bold. "A toast. To a new chapter of your life, where you're finally free!" Kyber tipped his head back and downed the entire shot... He started suppressing a cough. He tried to hold his sabaac face for as long as possible. Eventually, he started coughing up a storm. Wookiee Strongest was way too strong for Kyber. "Water, please, now!" Kyber cried out to the bartender.

This human surprised Gaarbecca but in a positive way he titled his head to the side in curiosity "If you are in need of help Gaarbecca will come" Gaarbecca smiled and nodded his head confirming the friendship "to friends" happily took the small sip sized portion of this drink, whilst the drink had a familiar bite to it the taste was anything but. It smelt and tasted like a spaceport hangar, he started laughing at the young Jedi who looked unwell and his cry for water drew attention around the whole cantina. Gaarbecca looked around before loudly growling, needless to say people went back about their business not wanting to anger a Wookiee. Gaarbecca turned his attention back to his new friend.
"Kyber Would you know a way off world?, I don't have enough credits to leave and the longer I stay here the more time it gives for Gorga to get me back into his service"

Kyber couldn't help but snicker as Gaarbecca's growl silenced any potential mockery as a result of his cries for water. Wookiees never really seemed thag intimidating to him, having grown up around Wookiees for most of his early life. But he had to concede that to the uninitiated, Wookiees could seem to be scary and even savage creatures. Regardless, Kyber knew the truth. Most wookiees were great people and the culture was refined and majestic, if a tad primitive.

Kyber couldn't help but wonder if Gaarbecca's talents could be put to use helping the Jedi. A pit fighter that survived countless onslaughts for years on end definitely would be a capable warrior. But that was his selfish side talking, his inner opportunist. He needed to be more caring here, Garbecca seemed in high spirits but his arm was obviously still injured and he wasn't about to fight anyone in his condition. "Hey, I got a ship here and I'm heading off world soon. I would gladly give you a lift! Any place you're looking to... looking to go?" Whatever the barkeep gave the two was just starting to hit Kyber. He was a big drinker in his smuggling days and had developed a tolerance over that time. But the fact that the Jedi were a mostly sober institution, combined with the fact that he had essentially drank pure gasoline, had serverely deminished his tolerance. Kyber wasn't drunk off the one shot, but he was starting to feel it. He could literally feel his inhibitions lowering.

"Look, I don't want to nag you or anything but chances are those goons are gonna regroup and try to come after us again. So we should probably leave... now. I'm docked close by, we can get you off world and get you to a proper doctor. Sound good? Great." Kyber didn't really wait for an answer. Drunk Kyber was very assertive. More assertive than regular Kyber at any rate. When he drank, he didn't necessarily look before he leapt. He kinda just dove in. Without delay, he stood up from his stool and clapped his hands together. In addition, Kyber was a notorious drunk planner. "Ready to go? We can't exactly blend in with... you here, so we miiiight have to fight outside. No biggy though... I hope." Kyber grinned a confident grin.

"I don't know, somewhere there are trees and green and a healer to help my arm, I can't rely on Jedi to turn up whenever I am in danger..." Gaarbecca explained before standing up picking up his bowcaster atleast if anyone attacked them he could fight back.

"Lead the way Jedi" Gaarbecca followed Kyber out of the cantina looking around occasionally for any signs of Gorga's grunts.

The lower levels of Nar Shaadaa were comparable to a vast ocean... granted, an ocean filled with pollution and refuge. If you let yourself go, you could be carried along with the crowds and end up in the weirdest corners of the planet. If you tried, you could easily blend with the crowds and totally assimilate with a crowd. That could not be said of Gaarbecca. No way a Wookiee, even if said particular Wookiee was shorter than average, could just blend in. They would need to move quickly to Kyber's ship if they wanted to make it offworld unnoticed... maybe that drink was a bad idea.

"Put the bowcaster away man, no need to bring even more attention our way." Kyber said to his new friend as they exited the cantina. "But keep the safety off... just for... safety reasons". Kyber snickered to himself, proud of his pun.

The two exited the cantina, Kyber taking the lead as they walked to where he docked. Thankfully it wasn't too far away, but with a Wookiee under suspicion, it would feel like kilometres away. Kyber decided the best thing to do was make small talk, blending in with the murmuring and walking of the crowd. "So when's the last time you were on Kashyyk?." Kyber asked Gaarbecca, attempting to look as inconspicuous and normal as possible. "You know, it's funny, I actually grew up on Kash-"

"I think i see that Furry piece of shit!" A familiar voice cried behind them through the crowd. Kyber's head jerked towards Gaarbecca. "Don't look back, keep your head forward, keep walking, we're almost there... be ready to draw."

Gaarbecca lowered himself as much as his large frame would allow though he was still almost a meter taller than most of the people walking on the street ... his Bowcaster on a sling his left hand wrapped around the grip ready at a moments notice, at his friends words he went to let the weapon rest. He stopped as Kyber asked about home... he gave out a sad cry just thinking about the wroshyr trees let alone his homeworld, he made to question what the young Jedi was going to say before he heard trouble, his hand moving closer to his bowcaster ready to fight if need be... Freedom was so close now, a chance to get off this cursed world he thought each step his heart beated faster.

Kyber tensed as they walked forward, moving increasingly faster with each step, each in smaller increments. They were nearing the spaceport, it wouldn't be much longer until they could board. Kyber wanted to look back, but knew that the second he or Gaarbecca did, they'd be able to confirm their identities. The point of getting lost in the crowds of Nar Shaadaa was looking as inconspicuous as possible. The Wookie walking through was hard enough to keep hidden, if they started darting their heads around that would be even worse. Kyber grabbed Gaarbecca's good arm and tugged him faster towards the port.

The second they would enter the port, they would break from the crowd and be in perfect view of the approaching Hutt thugs. They would need to be extremely quick. Kyber turned to Gaarbecca. "Once we break from the crowd, we need to move, okay?" Kyber didn't wait for confirmation, he simply went. The drink had made him bold, and if they didn't move now, they wouldn't be moving at all. Kyber moved with his new wookie friend towards the entrance to the spaceport. At the gates, there were two guardsmen. Kyber slipped one of the guards credits, both for his docking fee and as a bribe. "Hutt thugs are coming your way. Delay them" And with that, Kyber continued walking with Garbecca, ducking behind a corner and heading to the landing pads.

The second they were out of sight, Kyber started running. No danger in remaining inconspicuous and slow now. In fact, that would probably get them killed. Running to the end of the bays, Kyber ducked in and ran to his ship, expecting Garbecca to follow close behind. He ran to the door and hit the button that caused the landing ramp to open. It opened as quickly as possible. "Get inside! We gotta go now! That guard is only going to delay them so long!"

When Gaarbecca and Kyber reached the guard he was confused by the handing of money, surely a guard would not betray his job light heartedly, he stared down the guard and gave him a warning growl before following as the guard shook intimidated. He ran quickly to the ramp and closed it behind him moving to the cockpit. Sitting down in the chair hunched over slightly as the roof was clearly not high enough.
"All is ready Kyber" Gaarbecca spoke eager to leave this place spotting the hutt thugs entering the hangar.
He looked across to His Jedi friend as he powered the ship up, awaiting the darkness of space...

Sota Ja'rini Priest hated slavers. a lot.
It wasn't anything too deep or profound, she simply hated them with every fiber of her being. Slavers were a special kind of evil; the demons that mothers told their children horror stories about? They were real, and they were everywhere. The sheer random chance of it, that somewhere, sometime, a ship will drop out f the sky and tear down a poor blighter's whole world, drag them screaming from their families, strip them away until they're nothing but a shell...it made her burn. Whenever she got the chance, her Number 1 priority was killing slavers, their ships and supply routes destroyed, their cargo freed, their head removed. It was why she hated the Syndicate she had to work for so much, they were Slavers too, and every mission she was sent on, it usually involved pilfering one shipment and taking it back to the Syndicate for their own use.
Nar Shadda may have been a wretched hive that made her skin crawl, but the Mandalorian couldn't deny the quality of their booze (that is to say, there was none, but it got her hammered enough that she could forget a while). She was enjoying one of those nightly binges right now, sitting in a darkened corner booth, when a noise drew her ear. Across from her booth was a Wookie, pretty distinctive looking from the scars, and he was injured further still, his arm in a sling. Before him stood a menagerie of thugs, Hutt thugs by their patches, and it looked like they were trying to muscle in on whatever he was doing. She was feeling particularly bold right now, so she had no problem with killing Hutt thugs in a public place, but before she could even pull out her blaster, she heard the familiar SHROOM of a Jedi Blade. Behind the thugs stood a Jedi, his Lightsaber at their leader's neck, and judging by the look on his face (even more by the look on the thug's), he was willing to use it in ways she would like to see.
Cowards that they were, they ran like scared womp rats and, sensing an interesting story, Sota moved across the bar to plop herself down in the booth behind them. She heard a great deal after that, and her grip on the blaster only tightened upon hearing the story the Wookie told. She didn't understand all of it (her implants had basic translation but it was imperfect), but she heard enough to know that this Wookie needed a break, something nice, something kind to help uplift his spirits. A quick Holonet search later, and Sota was off to the docking bay to gather the ingredients needed for Chywampa Nuu, a Wookie Smoothie (to put it simply), she figured something close to home would make him feel better. The ingredients were easy enough to make or buy and, once in her ship, Sota was mixing it all together with practised hands, the instructions going over and over in her mind.
"Stir whip, stir whip, whip whip stir" She softly hummed, watching with a smile as the gelatinous cream blob started to become a more solid puke green paste. It took 10 minutes to make, and they might have already left by now, so Sota was pretty relieved to find that they had come to her...then again, they brought the thugs with them too, so it was a mixed bag. Her blaster was in her hand before they noticed her, and by the time they broke past the guard, two of them lay dead, scorched chests and heads marking their wounds. "Jedi! I know this is a tad sudden, but I don't suppose there's room for a third!!?" She yelled over the slow billowing crescendo of his ship's engines.

Kyber quickly ran into the ship, shutting the bay doors before reaching the cockpit and activating the console, to engage the pre-flight controls. No doubt the thugs would be there soon, and once they bypassed the guards, would most likely head to whatever bay had a ship being revved up. Kyber began running through his pre-flight checks, prepping his ship for launch and warming up his hyperdrive. A necessary mechanism that Kyber should have really replaced by now, but alas... As he was preparing for lift-off, he started to hear blaster fire hit the ship, slight thuds intercutting the revving of the engines. Kyber turned to Garbecca. "If your arm isn't kriffed up, get on the guns... you know, just in case." Kyber quickly retrieved his own Bowcaster from his quarters, quickly unfolding it and preparing to fire on the thugs.

The ramp opened onto the bay floor, and Kyber held up his weapon, ready to fire. But by the time the doors were finally opened, he noticed the blaster fire had mostly stopped and the thugs lay injured or dead on the floor. Kyber was surprised to see who brought about the thug's demise. A woman, and a... rather attractive one at that. The whole day had been such a random shitshow, the drink was still hitting Kyber, and now there was a random woman saving him for... reasons of her own. Kyber knew he could defend himself, but it remained that she had killed them first. Kyber blinked as she started speaking to him, only then noticing he had his bowcaster trained on her. Her voice was an odd mixture of accents, but Kyber could clearly detect a Mandalorian edge to her voice.

"What!?" Kyber said in response to her request to come aboard. It was so sensationalized, weird even by Nar Shaadaa standards. Kyber considered for a second... he was not quick to trust, he found it difficult to trust some of his own Jedi brethren still. The idea of having a random woman on board was a potentially dangerous idea. To add onto that, just how in the hell did she know he was a Jedi. Unless she was watching him and Garbecca in the bar. At the end of the day, she was suspicious... but she was attractive, they were in a bind, and she had killed the thugs for them. And there could be more on the way. He didn't have time for debate. "You know what, fine, whatever. Get in, now! We're leaving!" Kyber had no time for nonsense, he needed to get Garbecca off world as soon as possible.

After the random woman boarded his ship, Kyber ran to the cockpit to engage the engines. "Hey furball, we have another guest!" Kyber yelled to Gaarbecca, as he engaged the thrusters and began to leave the planet.

Gaarbecca was making his way out of the gun turret when the ship started to take off, he heard the Jedi and growled 'the little man has some nerve' Gaarbecca thought he'd ripped humans apart and as he came into cockpit he was greeted with the sight of a female who held a drink that looked familiar, it was something that Gaarbecca wasn't expecting when he was called into the room.
" Thank you miss I saw you from the turret What is your name?" Gaarbecca spoke as he tilted his head to the side intrigued why a human would help him and his friend Kyber, he looked out of the ship and saw the stars whirring past in streaks of light. Space was a beauty almost comparable to that of the Wroshyr trees back home. He wanted his people to be free once more as well as the planet of his birth, to return to his village and know that they were safe from outside interference. He looked back to the newcomer waiting for the answer.

Despite the element of surprise, Hutt thugs weren't THAT thick. When they got a bead on their third target, they immediately lay down suppressing fire, forcing her to dive beneath the docking ramp. She only came out once she heard a familiar roar, one of a wookie, and the other, a blaster turret. She couldn't help but start giggling at the sheer ridiculousness of the whole situation as she slipping through a small crack in the side of the ramp. A drunk Merc, a Wookie wrestler, and a jedi, it sounds like the beginning of a bad joke!! She kept chortling all the way to the cockpit, where the two waited for her. First order of business after taking a breath, she handed the Wookie the drink. "Hi, I'm Sota" She rasped out, still trying to sound quite chipper. "I was in the bar, noticed trouble, and I decided to make you a smoothie to lift your spirits a little"

Gaarbecca smelt the 'smoothie' with caution, listening to the little human in front of Gaarbecca he gave a soft growl before drinking. It was an old favorite, a painful reminder yet a welcome one... he looked back towards Sota "You are a caring person Sota thank you, You honor me" Gaarbecca bowed making sure not to knock any of the controls. Gaarbecca then hugged Sota tightly before tears welled up in his eyes behind her back, there truly were good people in the galaxy...

Without much other delay, Kyber managed to lift the ship and blast off-world. He more or less tried to ignore the actions of his two passengers as he focused on getting the ship away from the port. The Hutt thugs were dead, but hopefully they had not had the chance to radio back to their superiors about their encounter with the Jedi... and hopefully there were security cameras who got footage of the girl doing the shooting.

As they broke through the atmosphere, Kyber punched the hyperdrive and begun shooting through hyperspace, he finally took a second to relax. He took a huge breath, inhaling and exhaling. Turned out taking care of Wookies was exhausting as hell. But he seemed like a good guy overall. The girl though... why the hell did let her on his ship. A nice body did not let you escape suspicion... one bad experience with a dancer was enough to teach him that.

Kyber was lost in his own world for the briefest second, lost in thought. Until Garbecca's familiar cries echoed through his ears. He got up from his seat, walking over to see Garbecca taking a drink from the mysterious woman. "You know, for someone who just ran away from a Hutt, you're really trusting." Kyber said to Garbecca with an obvious sense of sarcasm. He then turned to the woman. "He says thanks, and also says you're caring. But no way I'm taking a drink from any stranger. Sorry." Kyber said with a slighty suspicious edge. He didn't like any strangers on his ship. Ever. A split second decision let her on his ship, nothing more. He had originally planned on taking Gaarbecca to Dantooine, somewhere full of trees and nature where he could get him healed. And he would take him there... but not with her on board.

"So, you're on my ship: who are you, what do you want, how did you find us, and why are you making my Wookie first mate a smoothie?"

Kyber then turned back to Gaarbecca. He cleared his throat, before speaking back to the wookie in Shyriwook. "I don't trust her" He said in his best Shyriwook, before coughing a bit. "Kriffing...".

Gaarbecca could feel the little human female's arms on his back and loosened his grip forgetting how malleable they were, he heard Kyber his Jedi friend tell him he was too trusting and let Sota out completely of the hug before turning around "I'm sure a Hutt bounty hunter wouldn't kill Hutt filth while they are trying to stop us. You are jealous you didn't get a drink!" Gaarbecca straightened his posture and went to put his hands on his hips to make himself seem more intimidating to get Kyber to back off their new friend, but a shot of pain went up his entire right arm causing him to let out a loud and sudden cry in the otherwise quiet ship.

Sota went into a small coughing fit when she was released, doubling over slightly to recover. The Wookie was practically a teddy bear, she loved it...the Jedi, on the other had, not so much. The second he came into the room, he started levvying questions against her, and whilst she couldn't really blame him for mbeing suspicious, she would be lying if she said she didn't find it annoying and tiring. She moved over to a seat and took a quick, deep breath before looking the Jedi up and down.
"I'm Sota, I wanted to make your friend a smoothie, I was in the bar and overheard you two, and my second answer answers the last question" She said quickly without stopping, immediately turning to the Dejarik Holo Chess board. "Ooooh...I've never played Dejarik before"
