Atakithu, home of wild darkness and its inhabitants, the Basaakith, His home.

The Native Mando was strolling through what would be his dueling arena, it was a clearing inside one of the many bioluminescent forests of the planet, it was complete darkness for anyone who didn't have any sort of night vision, the only visible things were the borders as they were marked by an oval of glowing plants that surrounded the would-be battleground.

He decided to sit down and meditate until the arrival of his adversary, his dermal armor became thicker every second, the darkness calmed his mind, his body but most importantly, his soul.

It would take some time for his opponent to arrive, and he would never waste precious time, so he planned every move, every decision, Plan A to Z and beyond, the weapons of choice were no weapons and this gave him a great advantage, his dermal armor, and superior muscle strength were something his opponent should have considered, the Human would have also not been able to see anything, as the arena was close to fully pitch black.
Tonight I will prove myself as the better warrior, will you be able to overcome your physical limits challenger? or will you fall to the adversities of nature?

The Bassakith homeworld would be a sight to behold...if he actually could see anything. He was carried by shuttle to about 10 meters outside of the would be arena. He began walking toward the arena holding his hands out in front of him. He made his way to the edge of the area looking at the glowing plant that led him. The outline of his pants could be seen by the light coming from the outline of the ring. It was at least bright enough to know where the boundaries are. Telag had stuffed his pants full of Wampa fur to attempt to keep warm before he arrived. It was itchy, but it would have to work for now. He wasn't sure why no one told him it would be this cold.

He took a painful deep breath and exhaled a cloud of condensation that could barely be made out. He would need to end this quickly if he were to survive. Telag attempted to control his breathing before stepping into boundaries of the ring. He definitely preferred to be on the sands of Geonosis than be in this cold icy forest. Humans were definitely not made for this. He wouldn't even wish his worst enemies here. "This better not take long or I will become a Manda-pop," he whispered.

Stepping into the arena, he began to jog in place to generate heat. He was a Mandalorian and he would just have to suck it up and put on his big Manda pants "Bring it on, Thyr. K'olar Vod!!!" he yelled out.

He wasn't going to move from his spot at the edge of the arena. It wasn't worth going into the darkness where he had a greater disadvantage. The bio-luminescent plants gave him enough light to see the vague area around him and he hoped it would be enough. This reminded him a time when had a shootout on Hoff, but at least then he had better protection from the cold. Telag was going to wait and attempt to hear his opponent rather than run in blindly.

"It would be foolish to move, I don't have to land a single hit to win, I just have to be patient as the night becomes darker and the winds get colder, pants won't save someone for your species for long at those temperatures" He said keeping a low tone.
Breath was slow to keep the heart rate at a minimum, his body was as solid as stone, with his dermal armor not leaving a single exposed point.
In the end, Thyr too decided to don't move, there was no need, and watching the sufferance of the human as he slowly stumbled into the darkness was a pleasing sight for the meditating Bassakith.
"You don't see the little details, I expected more from you"

Telag looked across the darkness and started to get a bit depressed. For what this was, it wasn't worth it. All of this and just for a kriffing title. He had been many things in his life, but dead wasn't meant to be one of them just yet. Telag didn't care if he kicked the bucket on a battlefield fighting a Jedi or took a blaster bolt to the chest at close range. Though, no way in hell was he going to freeze his bullocks off. He would rather lose on technicality than die for a title. It wasn't very Mandalorian of him. When you spent most of your life as a bounty hunter and a mercenary, you saw things differently than your vod.

If he could have heard the line, "You don't see the little details, I expected more from you." He would have had a conniption. There wasn't much too see literally. The odds were stacked against him. It would be one thing if he were a Wookie or a Trianni, but he was just human. At this point, he had a plan to just rush in and hoped he found him. Though, it wasn't worth the trouble. He figured that he would wait another day to fight. There still had a good amount of time left before he would need to bow out. Though he was human, he had experiences that could not be taken for granted.

Telag thought to bow out way earlier than he needed to, but then realized that he forgot something he brought along with him. It had already been a couple of minutes and he then found a reason to keep fighting. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a pair of minerals. They looked like ordinary rocks too the average eye, but he knew them to be much more. There wouldn't be too much time at all for him he just waited around, but all he could do was try. Due to the climate of the planet, he figured he could find dry limbs on the ground. So, he began to shuffle his feet as he walked along the guides of the glowing plants. There wasn't a lot of moisture in the air, which he would use to his advantage. Not even a minute longer that he found a log that had fallen out of the trees into the arena. He quickly broke off as many of the limbs he could find off of the log with his hands, and placed them next to the branch away from the wind.

Telag took the two rocks and began hitting them together. The rocks began to spark on the third try and all he needed was to get the spark to catch. On the fifth strike, the sparks caught and began to start a fire. A smile he emerged on his pale face. It had been a good thing that he brought along flint and iron pyrite. He continued to hit the rocks and after a couple of minutes the fire started to spread. He took a deep breath and warmed his hands up against the flames. The wind began to blow and the flames began to spread outward. He tried to stay as close to the fire as possible, but the flames began to become too unruly. The wind caused the grass around him to spark and catch aflame as it blew embers off of the log. There was one thing that he could always take from his youth and it was how to survive. It was the many benefits of being born to Mandalorian parents.

The thing humans had access to for thousands upon thousands of years had been fire. He purposely made sure not to contain the flames. He would let nature take it's course. Telag was determined to not give up easily. He had to remind himself that he had come out of worse situations. The fire became a bit too unruly for his liking the flames began to spread even more. The boundaries of the arena started to become engulfed in flames. Telag started to back up as the flames began to brightened up the arena. Though one thing for sure, he was at least warm.

Sure he started a forest fire, but he didn't care too much. Was the fate of the planet worth this match, probably not. Yet, his determination caused him to go a bit overboard. He made sure to keep aware of his surroundings at all times. Telag was normally careful and getting blindsided was something he wouldn't let happen. Telag chuckled as he light from the fire gave him sight and he waited for it to spread some more. The wind at least blew the smoke away from him. That would have been a problem in itself. He was proud of his accomplishment, but it was too early to celebrate just yet. There was an old saying he heard that would be relevant as of now that said 'what's in the dark will come to the light.'

"Good, but not enough, the bioluminiscent chemicals will make the fire burn twice as bright yes, but also half al long... Let's not waste more time on an arena this spectacular, shall we?"
As the human was busy trying to keep himself a bit warm, temperatures around him still managed to be under 0 grades, even if they became more tollerable.
Thyr decided to stand up, and his outline finally appeared on the fiery red background, the figure was strangely muscular for his size, but that's a common thing for his species after all.
"also, you probably dont want to ever stay near another Bassakith again, we usually prefer alive forests"
As he verbally mocked his adversary, Thyr quills started glowing a bright silver, in contrast with the background behind him, meanwhile his whole body took a defensive stance, moving on place with ever-changing patterns of moves, similar to capoeira.
"Now that you can see me, fight me Attacker, face the darkness that surrounds the dying beats of your flame!"
As time was passing, his tone started to sound more like a cliche movie villain than a Mandalorian, maybe this was part of the plan...

"That maybe true, but that'll just mean the forest will burn faster," he retorted, "It'll just burn like straw in an endless blaze."

Telag pulled a cigar from his pants pocket and lit it by using the flames of his creation. He breathed in the chemicals and exhaled. It was warm enough for his liking that he finally was able to get some heat into his body. Though, he wasn't interesting in getting closer to his opponent at the moment. It wasn't going to be a long fight if it was up to him. This would have to be as quick as possible.

He stretched his neck to the side a bit before running to about five meters in front of his opponent. He opened his palms out in front of him and took a deep breath of his cigar. Telag moved in toward his opponent and ducked down, moving similar to that of a boxer, and performed a quick feint punch with his right fist toward his opponent's ribs. Though, his real attack was an uppercut that he swiftly lifted his torso aiming for the underside of his opponent's jaw. He didn't always use feints, but it was one of those times that it was probably necessary for him to try.

"your moves are stale"
Thyr couldn't care less about forward punches of any type as he exhaled a last, deep breath before stepping to the left as the feint came in, as the uppercut went past him he kept the momemtum with a quick spin on his left foot and near the end of it opening his right leg for a kick to his ribcage, the human left arm was too extended and away from the body to lose such an opportunity.
If he was going to be successful not only the human would feel much more pain from any hit because of the freezing temperature, but Telag would be also too busy couching out whatever he would inhale from his own cigar smoke, so it would be double or triple the pain of an attack.
Meanwhile, his quills stopped glowing all of a sudden, removing every single visible trace of the Mandalorian except the slightly visible outline in the darkness.

He jeered at his opponent's remarks with an awful facial expression. As Telag's uppercut had been uneventful, he pushed himself closer into his opponent's body. With him being so close to his opponent, it almost seemed like it was too easy. Though, it was never time to celebrate in the middle of a battle. His point in pushing himself further into his opponent's body was to reduce any threat his kick would do.

Telag would go on to take the weight of the back of his opponent's thigh. He would attempt to grab onto his opponent's kicking extremity with both arms as the force would come into his body, and place his right leg behind his opponent's left leg in attempt to maneuver his opponent to the ground. Once moving toward the ground, Telag would attempt to forcefully land his right knee on the back of his opponent's left knee. It would be an attempt to move his opponent's right knee in the opposite direction (holding his left hand on his left ankle and his right hand above his kneecap) of it's bend in attempt to mercy his opponent out of the fight.

The move from Telag would have actually worked, if only it wasn't a convoluted mess of moves that weren't practical at that distance and with close to no eyesight.
In fact, even if somehow the human managed to have the time for both grabbing the right tight and putting his right leg behind the Basaakith left leg, he had one newfound problem...
...he was completely exposed.
And that was exactly what happened, and in response, Thyr crossed his arms behind his opponent's neck, removing his right leg from harm with a quick jump and tried to land a headbutt to the human's nose using both his raw muscle power and the fact that he was landing with all his weight on the human, this move would change the course of the battle drastically, as if somehow Thyr did not land the headbutt he would still put the human on a classic subsission pose, with the Basaakith being over his adversary, blocking both his arms with his knees and being free to punch his opponent.

Telag wasn't holding up so well against the cold in trying to hold back his opponent, as of now. He was getting a bit too numb for this battle, but he wasn't going to give up so easy or so he thought. Telag felt pressure around his neck as he pushed outward against his opponent's inner elbows and barely avoided a destructive headbutt.

Though, he wasn't expecting to take on his opponent's full weight. It hadn't been the first time he had been in a situation where his opponent attempted to put most of their weight on him. With the last bit of his strength he had attempted to preserve, he shifted his weight to the side to attempt to push against his opponent's body away from him. He hoped that his he would of caused his opponent to hit the ground, before he would take a few stepped back a couple of steps.

Telag took a deep breath of cigar and thew it down on the ground. “Yeah, I'm done. I'm freezing out here,” he said with a heavy tiredness in his voice while glancing over at the unruly flames of the forest fire.

“Corpsman!!!” he yelled out into the distance for a medic.

Telag fell to his knee before falling over in the grass as he began to lose consciousness.

As a group of properly equipped medics extinquished a part of the flames and started reaching for the human, the Basaakith fell on his side from the last attempt of survival from the human, but when it got up his rival was altready unconscious, so Thyr took a shirt from the patch of grass he was meditanting from, weared it and started moving off into the patch of burned foliage that was extinquished by the paramedics.

No matter the war, the battle or its partecipants, Nature always wins.

The medics started carrying the human toward the Medivac for immediate treatment against possible hypothermia, meanwhile the flames started dying down from the rubbery fireproof material of most trees on the planet.
And on the newfound darkness of the planet, red quills could be seen inside one of the Medical Teams vehicles.
