Canto Bight

Trael had followed the tracking beacon of his ship to Canto Bight. Luckily he was able to borrow a shuttle from the party cruise and get to the planet. He bought a hoodie from a nearby vendor and put it on after seeing all the buzz about the assault on the party cruise. He made his way to the spaceport where his ship was located. He found it just sitting in one of the hangars seemingly abandoned. Punching in the code to open the ship up he made his way inside.

The first thing he checked was his equipment locker. This is where he realized he was missing one of his sabers. He quickly patted himself down to double check it wasn't on him to which it wasn't. His only guess was that it was taken during the party, since if the woman who stole his ship took it she would've taken all three. He walked to his room now to find the thief sprawled out on the bed. He let out a sigh and went to wake her when his stomach growled. I guess breakfast does sound nice. He would walk into the ships kitchen and begin cooking eggs, nerf chorizo with fried potatoes and tortillas. Opening his cabinet to figure out a drink for the morning he began whipping up some coffee and a simply chamomile tea his mom used to always make. The ship would soon be filled with smell of the food and beverages.

What happened after the chaos on the cruiser had been a convoluted blur and haze. Maeve had been drunk, high on shrooms and still on adrenaline when she had stumbled towards the hangar, pure mischief in her mind and new ship keys in her hands.

They had come from the stranger she had met - he was hot, yet she hadn't even gotten a name (nor had she witnessed his slaughtering), but she had wanted to escape the ship and so after having struggled to find it for a while, at some point she had made it.

Once inside the ship, she had literally zig-zagged her way towards the cockpit, where she had only manage to slap the autopilot on. She hadn't notice where she was headed as she simple relied on the ship to take her off this event, but if she had still been conscious enough to choose, she definitely hadn't gone for Cantonica...

As she had still been high on energy, she had snooped around a little, obviously in a great mood, yet what she found had confused her a little. The armor had clearly been a sign for him being some kind of a fighter, but it mattered little, as chances were she wouldn't even remember the next day.

It had been a miracle that she had still managed to end up in bed, however the clothes she had shed and they were now hunked together in a messy pile on the floor. She laid sprawled across the whole bed, the sheets half covering her and her body somewhat diagonal, but she perceived nothing of the right full owner's return.

She did, however, stir, as she was woken by rambling sounds from the kitchen that made her rise her head all of a sudden. Her heart was immediately pounding and while her head heavily spun, she still robbed down and started rummaging through her jacket. She had no idea what the fuck was going on but even if that was a stolen ship, she wasn't keen on intruders.

She thus grabbed a dart and with shaking hands, laced it with a tiny dose of Lecapanine- the first remains of liquid she had found. She then sneaked onwards, the tiny dart held in her fingers as she snuck close, knowing the dose would paralyze whomever she was dealing with, yet she had purposely not gone for a full knock out.

As she did pop her head out, she acted quickly, so swiftly that she didn't even notice it was indeed the man from last night and hurled the dart right into his leg. "Oh..". Her head hurt and more and moremeories returned, but as her senses did the same, she was more than perplex about the food he was preparing. She awkwardly stood in the doorway, in underwear still, the Force user having two more seconds before all of his muscles would be paralyzed.

Trael had been cheffin it up. He had just finished his eggs and the potatoes and meat. He was staring on the tortillas, the first couple were done but he always liked to have extras. The current tortilla he was making had come out perfectly so far. He had flipped it out of the pan and turned around to catch it. The spin causing the hood to come down showing his face more clearly. That’s when disaster stuck the distracted sith.

As his prized tortilla was coming down a dart came through it striking the sith in the chest. All he could do was watch as his Magnus opus of tortillas fell to the floor defiled. To make matters worse he couldn’t move or anything. All that happened was a single tear rolling down his face. Though his sorrow wasn’t for his paralysis or the fact he may be dying, it was for the fact that his masterpiece ended with a dart and not delicious breakfast food. He would then drop to the floor with a loud thud lamenting the loss of his child.

The longer she was in the kitchen area, the more the admittedly tasty smells of the various foods enfolded. Was he making breakfast? In the kitchen of his ship, the ship she had stolen last night? How had he even found her and what the kriff was going on? She didn't feel top hung over, but the looks on her face were just utterly perplex as he suddenly sank down.

"Shit", she muttered under her breath, realizing that the intruder was at least no pirate, but last night's gentleman. The tortilla landed with a slap and the ship's owner with a thud. His eyes would be open, but blinking would be the only movement he'd still be capable of for a while.

The pans still sizzled and she finally swayed over to turn the heat off. She blinked a few times, confusedly admiring the selection before she stabilized herself against the counter. Had he found her in his bed and decided making breakfast was the right answer? She was utterly startled. Running was potentially the best idea, but then again, he knew her face well by now and she didn't needed a force user hunting her down...but after all of this, was there even a chance to get back on his good side? And why hadn't he sensed her?

She broke free from her stasis and went down on her knees, carefully placing two fingers at the side of his neck to check his pulse. Good. She hadn't overdosed him. She still removed the dart and tossed it away before she leaned over him, meeting his gaze. "I'm...sorry. I thought you were a pirate", she gave him an apologetic grin, her thoughts racing through the haze. "Hmm...uhm can you still swallow?", she wanted to know, needing to assess his state quickly to decide now to handle this.

Trael was in a form of hell as he thudded onto the floor his tortilla slapped down beside him. A constant reminder of his failure from letting his guard down. All he could do was stare at it and imagine the glorious meal it would’ve contributed to. His heart was shattered. While this was happening the culprit moved around the kitchen cutting everything off and admiring it, although he couldn’t see this as all his gaze could do was rest upon the innocent tortilla murdered on the ground.

As she kneeled down meeting his gaze it was full of sorrow not anger or rage. A pirate? How would a pirate get past the locked door without waking her? Also why would he be cooking? Her explanation made him slightly question her intellectual capacity. She asked if he could swallow to which he replied with a gulp indicating that he could. His gaze then shifted back to his massacred tortilla as another tear fell down.

Despite her confusion, Maeve tried to keep her cool. If she played this right, she'd be out of danger in no time, and obviously, there was a past-party-night breakfast awaiting her as well. For now though, she had to do some damage control...or was going for the rest or his loot the best idea?

The fact that he could track her was unsettling and she know her face was now known by corpo sector...she assumed it was more likely the ship was trackable, but one could never be too careful. "Okay, I'll be getting you back in a bit, bear with me". She got back up, filled a glass with water and knelt back next to him.

She carefully lifted his head before she moved the glass to his lips, slowly letting him drink. "We'll need to get it out of your system", she briefly explained, wondering whether his body would quickly metabolize the sedative or whether leaving before he was back to his full potential was a better idea.

Whether he knew how to make the Force help him, was on him, but after he had the glass down, Maeve said, "I'm going to make you sit...I'll try at least". He was very tall...twice her weight, she guessed, which was why her training came in handy. As she shoulder his torso upwards, she was relatively strained, but in the end she managed to basically sit down behind him, pressing against his weight with her own and keeping him somewhat upwards. "Your tongue and mouth will be the first to regain control...when they do, feel free to explain why you didn't just murder me in my sleep". Despite the serious nature of the question, she voiced it somewhat playfully.

Trael was still in a sort of daze though now the woman seemed to be attempting to rectify her mistake. As she offered the water he slowly drank it. Agreeing internally that clearing his system was a smart choice. After he finished the water she began attempting to sit him up. After struggling she eventually succeeded using her own body as a prop. Trael stared off as she explained the eventuality of him regaining control. Was she the one who stole his saber? Why would she stay if she did? Why did she attack an intruder in her underwear? Questions he repeated in his head while trying to force his mouth to work.

After a minute or two of silence and straining his face he felt his mouth open and tongue started flapping. "Did you do anything to warrant being murdered? Like stealing my lightsaber perhaps?" Next on his list was trying to regain control of his hands. She could feel him straining his body to a degree as the serum wore off. After another handful of minutes his hand shot upward. He began rotating it trying to gauge his level of control. As he did this he used the force to call a blanket from the room and covered the woman. "I will say you must be bold to face an intruder in your underwear." As he relaxed slightly, slowly feeling his body come to life again.

Again and again Maeve went through a few scenarios in her head. What if he only waited to be back at full capacity to snap her neck? She'd die a bitter death...without anything gained, but in the end, what did it even matter? She kept listening for breathing, thus monitoring lung and heart activity, but he seemed fine.

As he suddenly regained a bit of control, she jumped a little as he started talking. "Your what?", at first, it was genuine confusion, but as the haze in her head cleared, she had an assumption. Kodi...damn. That was definitely worse than the knife she had stolen, and this he hadn't even mentioned.

"I don't think so...unless crashing in your ship is a crime". Obviously, she left out the part of her successful pickpocketing, that she had literally stolen his ship and that she had deliberately drugged him. She could still play the relatively innocent part she figured.

She said him up more upright as he regained control, but as he suddenly moved his hand and called a blanket towards her, she flinched severely. The Force was scary. Unpredictable. And she was in the lion's den. "I...uhh thank you. Can you sit by yourself?", she asked, wanting to reposition herself.

She found it hard to read him and knew the window of her advantage was slowly passing. If he proved dangerous, she only had a moment left. It left her nervous and while she wrapped herself into the blanket, she shivered. "Well that was coincidence", she answered, a slight smirk crossing her lips.

It had been a tactical decision as she hadn't been able to afford losing more time, but now she wasn't anywhere near her equipment after it. "So your breakfast is getting cold...should I get you into the chair?", she offered, still a slightly apologetic smile on her lips. There wasn't a single hint of anger in her voice, yet she knew it could be deceptive.

Her response about the lightsaber answered the question even if she didn't. He could sense her confusion as she answered. He tried running through his night at the party, then something hit him. The fox Param was with had bumped into him during the tumble and even tried to make a snide remark though he hardly remembered it now. As he thought of asking Param about the fox an image of the slave auction aftermath appeared in his head. Yeah he would need to get that meeting on his own.

As the blanket reached her he felt her flinch. It was obvious she was worried though most people were when it came to FS people. He leaned forward slightly just enough to release the pressure from her. It seemed his upper body was mostly back in his grasp. "I should be able to manage now. You can get comfortable." His legs to his dismay were still unresponsive. It bothered him, sure he could stop her from running if she tried but being practically useless droned on the sith more than he would've thought. "A coincidence," he repeated his hand scratching his chin. She the mentioned the breakfast and offered to help him into a chair. "No I should be able to do it myself. You can turn the stove on to heat the food no need for us to eat a cold breakfast." Turning towards a chair he spun it with the force. Using his upper body strength he pulled himself up and into the chair, a sigh escaping him as he did. He reached down to his leg rubbing it trying to get it working.

Get comfortable. She had to admit that he was apperently quite a jester. She was everything but comfortable, her mind was still racing, she watched and analyzed ever single movement and was still waiting for him to snap and her to realize that staying was a bad idea. But there was nothing. He seemed chill and it kept her so confused.

For us to eat breakfast. It just got worse and worse. How was there and us when she had stolen his ship? Was he delusional oooor was there a part of last night she didn't remember and he had already walked right into her trap. There was literally confusion written all over her face as with the subtle hangover, she didn't bother hiding it anymore.

Still, almost as on autopilot, she walked over and turned it on, beginning to heat the food and picking up the tortilla he had lost minutes earlier. "So when people steal your ship, you make them breakfast? What happens if I'd rob this whole place, would you take me on a dinner date?", she voiced it playfully, a feigned smirk on her lips, but her gaze was attentively studying options. As long as she couldn't decipher his plan, she'd be absolutely wary even if she tried to hide it. "How did you find me?". He was still sedated, hence he was slow. She was pretty sure she was still having the upper hand here.

Trael had started to relax in the chair deciding to just let his body recuperate itself. He couldn't help but notice the confusion come across her face. He simply smirked and watched as she went and turned on the stove to heat up the food. The man wincing as she picked up the tortilla. The pain of its loss still fresh in his heart.

She questioned his intentions, he turned to her his eyebrows cocked upward. "Well I was going to kick you out but I got hungry. Also you didn't steal everything otherwise we wouldn't be talking and you'd be long gone. Although if you did stay perhaps if you asked nicely I would." His gaze watching hers as it franticly scanned around. Hmm so she didn't trust him, he couldn't blame her she did wake up to a man in the ship with her just passed out. How did he find her? Did she forget it was his ship? "What do you mean find you? I came for my ship and happened to find you in it." She was a mystery to him just last night she was super confident and overly flirty. Now she looked like a child going to it's first day at school.

So the tracker was on the ship, not her...good. The panic started waning as he confirmed her assumption and she forced the tension out of her muscles. What still confused her a lot though was that hunger had been more important to him than the crime she had ruthlessly committed.

Despite the uniform and lightsaber, she was convinced he was no Sith as she had met enough to tell that this one was indeed different. He was definitely working his way up on the list of the nicest men she had conned, but this also meant she had more plans with this one.

"If I asked nicely...oh please, you can't even resist me right now", she playfully replied, using the banter as a way to soothe herself too. She needed her slightly hungover mind to focus to play this right. She effortlessly reheated the food, knowing damn well that she would never manage to create such a multi course meal on her own. She was a terrible cook and never cooking anyway.

"Here, it's almost warm again", she said after a moment as she began piling food on a plate. She then moved it over to the table and took a seat across him. "Thanks for the breakfast then...that's just right after such a night...but speaking of, did I miss anything else?", she wanted to know, meeting his gaze with much more confidence again.

Trael had been watching the woman's body language the whole time he had been engaging with her. He couldn't help but notice her relax after his mention of being after his ship. Was she worried he was going to chase her? He looked up to her playful remark, "I seem to be resisting quite well in my personal opinion." A smirk forming as the plate was placed on the table. He would then stand up wobbling slightly as he walked over and made his own plate of food. He sat back down in his chair meeting her gaze with his deep blue eyes his gaze the same confident look they've been the whole time.

He rubbed his chin as he seemed to enter deep thought. "Did you miss anything else? Well there was that, actually no I shouldn't tell you that." He than looked down to his plate and began eating his food. Putting all the ingredients into the tortillas and eating it all together. A satisfied smile spreading across his face as he ate. He was curious if she would take the bait from his explanation, after all he enjoyed playing mind games as much as his company.

Maeve noticed he was still weakened and it helped her relax further. She focused on the re-heated food and tried a first bite and couldn't help but realize it was really good. "Damn...you do know your stuff", she admitted, a wide smirk tugging at her lips. She had to keep up the appearance for now and her 'date' was still playing it nice, so she kept up the banter.

"Is that so? I had you swooning just a bit earlier", she teased, referring to his accidental paralysis. "Wow...", she then cut in as he refused to tell her what it was, feigning actual shock. "Why wouldn't you tell me? The party was fun, judging from what I still remember, so what are you hinting at now?". Had she really missed anything major? She somehow doubted it...perhaps he was playing her now, or attempting to.

She took a few more bites and noticed how it actually helped with her hangover and that she still couldn't deny that it was really good, but this whole scene was just...bizarre. "No one will believe me that the guy I robbed made me breakfast", she shook her head, meeting his gaze rather playfully. "And now he's playing the mysterious stranger...and just getting more interesting".

She teased him about being drugged, "If that is what you consider swooning I may need to rethink allowing you to stay." He scratched his chin, as if contemplating some philosophical question. She asked her barrage of questions causing him to smirk. "You don't remember? Well I guess it wasn't important to you." He folded his arms and gave her a disappointed look. He than returned to his food eating what was left of it. Using the force he gentle placed it into the sink behind her.

He leaned back in his chair seeming to relax. Yet he was entering a state of meditation feeling his surroundings with the force. She broke the silence causing him to exit his trance. His gaze met hers, "You robbed me? I wouldn't say that after all my ship is back in my possession. I'm the mysterious one you say I think unraveling the mystery of you would be more interesting." A sparkle emerged into his gaze as he finished.

She rolled her eyes at his next answer, knowing that he was purposely trying to toy with her. She did remember she had been near a huge green Orcolan and that they had somehow chatted and that the stranger had been on the ground which had given her the chance to rob him.

"You haven't even told me your name. I'm Ruby", she broke the silence after a moment, meeting his gaze. As he used the Force, a sudden fear grasped her again as she simply found the Force mysterious and unpredictable still. "My mystery? Come on, I'm an open book", even if she kept a perfectly straight face, it was one of the biggest lies ever told.

It was true though, his ship was fairly intact still and so far, she had been fairly tame. "So what about finishing what we've started yesterday?", she bluntly asked, giving him a knowing look. She was still just covered in the blanket, but she casually dropped it as she got up.

"Ruby, huh, interesting I'm Victor." He simply gazed at her as she stated being an open book. "I doubt the truth of that statement madam. I believe there's more to you than what is at the surface." He sat in contemplation for a second. She then mentioned finishing what was started yesterday. Then she dropped the blanket and stood up the sith couldn't help but examine her body. She would feel the blanket wrap back around her.

"Want to explore the city with me? No need to rush things it takes away the fun. Also we have all day to waste." As he stood up seeming to have full mobility and walking to a locker. He stripped down to his boxers and began pulling out an outfit and putting it on. Turning to her, "We can stop by a shop if you want something other than what you wore last night." He leaned against the locker after closing it.

She didn't miss how his lingered on her and the smirk on her lips just widened. She was about to turn and wal, into the bedroom as an invisible hand once again wrapped her into the blanket she had just shed and out of genuine slight shock, she once again flinched. "What a gentleman", she hid the sarcasm and gave him a sweet smile instead, also overplaying the genuine hint of fear, however her thoughts kept racing.

He was doubting she was a simple woman, yet he literally invited her on a date. A long affair then, it seemed, but Cantonica offered plenty of opportunity and she did at least have the day...for a moment she pondered on his words though, shamelessly watching him as he changed and wondered whether not parting ways right now was the smart choice, but she then settled on a great idea.

"You know what? Let's do it", as the intial confusion had passed, she was in a better mood, and perhaps this was a much bigger chance than shs had first assumed. "Maybe we can win your missing lightsaber's worth back", she suggested, giving him a playful wink before she did move back to the bedroom, got dressed and quickly adjusted her equipment.

She immediately met him in the kitchen again after and tilted her head to the side before she added, "but two things: we can't raise too much attention here from what I've heard, and secondly, you might have to give me a ride off this planet after". There was no need in telling him she had been here before, but she wasn't too keen on wanting to stay in the sector too long, so returning to the ship earlier than nightfall seemed like her best bet.

He simply smiled as she agreed to a day on the town. After all his last trip to a city didn't end so well. This time though, he wasn't in the company of a ticking time bomb. As she walked into the room he remarked on her quip, "I don't believe hitting every jackpot in the city would replace it's value." Though monetarily he would be able to buy another saber, it wouldn't be his saber. He was in the kitchen cleaning up the mess from breakfast when she came back out.

She laid out her demands causing him to chuckle. "Well I doubt being with you will raise more attention anyways. Just imagine all the jealous men that will be watching us." He finished the dishes and turned to her as he was drying his hands off. "Well now who's being the unbelievable one. Asking the person whose ship you stole to give you a ride. Fine, but you have to promise not to try and drug me again." With that he made his way to the door. She wouldn't notice any weapons on him, seeming like he didn't think he needed them. He opened the hatch and waited by it, "After you my lady." A sly smirk on his face, he was finally getting a vacation.

She quickly realized he wasn't talking about the economical value, but a much more personal one. Damn, had Kai managed to get his hands on a lightsaber? If so, he'd gain a lot from it and chances were pretty low of Victor getting it back. It had still been an idea that would allow him to compensate for a part of his loss, but if he wasn't in, maybe she'd do it herself.

For now though, she was ready to check out the city, perhaps start with that outfit like he suggested and have some fun before she'd literally planned on finishing what she had started with him yesterday. Once she returned to him, she was softly chuckling at his charming comment before she walked out of the kitchen with him, glancing over her shoulder to meet his gaze again.

She was still a little surprised at his genuinely kind demeanor, but figured he seemed genuine enough for now so that she wasn't all tensed and wary anymore. Still even while she continued their playful banter, her guard was never fully down. "Oh of course. I just thought it would be the proper way to end a date...also, you said you weren't even mad", she argued with a smirk while walking down the ramp.

"So have you been here before? I'm fairly certain they have a few sights we could marvel at, or obviously enjoy ourselves in the casino, but I like that shopping idea of yours, too". Her clothes were worn, and even if she hadn't ended up in puke (which was a miracle still), she needed something more fitting for a city trip than her party dress.
