His brain worked with the idea's Iban was placing out there. The AI would be a hard component to trick let alone bypass. Tricking it was a task in itself, but far from possible. He'd begin interweaving his own presence with that of other drones, hoping to confuse the AI.

Hammering in a few more commands he'd prompt the drones to each go where another was then back to its original location. Within seconds each would begin the process of replacing another. Chaos was erupting in the system when it came to following a drone, each doing anothers job now with ease. He'd initiate another command to duplicate the drones, these duplicates being much slower and intending to be caught by any AI in hopes of shutting it down just as it had the worms.

In the meantime he worked on shutting down the fifth and sixth levels of the security. He'd bypass this system whether it killed him, he was getting to enjoy the mental strain the harder system brought him.

Iban nodded silently. The move Traask had just completed was one Iban himself used when faced with a similar security system.

"Keep up this pace, we're about to have a different kind of challenge once you break down the last wall."

As Iban said this he knew that Traask was good at hacking, even though he just started. Eh, that was good. However before Traask could break through the seventh level a new program jumped up. This was a Trap routine. It resembled a cage on Iban's gauntlet. As soon as Traask reached the seventh wall it "fell" in a attempt to trap him.

Hopefully he would be able to spot the subroutine before it caused his downfall.

Something glimmered out of the corner of his eye, Iban's gauntlet. The small cage that had formed he'd never seen before and the Bounty Hunter in him immediately thought "trap." As he prepared to break through the seventh walls security system he suddenly stopped, getting almost 100% complete before having one of the drones finish the job for him.

The cage sprung and his drone was trapped, caught, and destroyed. As this occurred he simply bypassed the "wall" and moved on, immediately doing what he could to break through the eighth and move onto the ninth. He began hammering in commands, all the drones suddenly fading from existence, every one had stopped its routine; his back-up plan. They had been slowing down the system, thus slowing him down. This action allowed him to break through the ninth security quicker than he had the first; upon this the drones came to life, all targeting that tenth firewall while he began manipulating lesser systems.

Iban chuckled as Traask finished his assignment and cracked the final layer.

"Now I mentioned a different kind of challenge once you had broken through the 10th layer."

He recalled Iban's speech about how the 10th layer would be a new challenge, his reminder was only enough to make him question what his next move would be. He didn't quite know what Iban had in store, so the next move would be a cautious one.

Traask's hands opened up a prompt to overlook the system, checking to see everything that was being processed within the console at that very instant. He'd access the drones control and move them to begin their hacking process on the tenth firewall. Meanwhile he sent a "seeker" deeper into the system in hopes of finding something out of place, a minimal bug that would simply gather information on security. Before breaking the 10th wall he'd bring back the seeker and let the information it held present itself to him, the splicer.

Once the little tool returned to him he finished off the hacking process on the 10th wall. When this occurred he sent the remaining drones into a frenzy within the next system, attempting to steal as much information as they could and relay it back to him before they could be caught.

"Good."

Iban shut his gauntlet down, and the entire system in fact.

"The new challenge is dealing with the physical presence of the digital realm."

Traask looked to Iban and gave him a simple nod, not quite understanding his meaning but still managing to follow somewhat.

"..that takes us where?"

The question was asked more like a statement, as if he expected Salid to answering, not a request. It was odd how cold a man could get from events in their past, as if their will for anything more than self satisfaction had been forgot. Crossing his arms as he waited his eyes searched the room.

“Open that wall panel.” Iban pointed to a particular metal that was dull, and seemed to have lost its luster.

“We will hack by physical means. The wires inside can be twisted, turned, and connected for various effects. I once shut a door on a target two stories up, merely by finding the wires and adding a little electricity to it."

Traask listened to Iban and walked over to the weakened panel of durasteel. A few moments later he had the heavy metal off the wall and a panel of hundreds of wires were presented to him. Looking it over he brought his wrist-gaunt up to it and began hooking it in where the normal electrician would. The various information came up on the small panel, listing to him the hundreds of functions the small electronic dock controlled. Finding the door to the room they were in he sent an electrical charge into the system from his very wrist, the door sliding open before slamming back shut and locking.

"..Hmm,"

He smirked at Iban and wondered what he wanted him to do from here.

"...now this is useful."

“Yes. Now then,” Iban walked over and cut several wires.

“Mix and match, and see what you can do to the door, or the computer console over there.” Iban thumbed the directions of the console which he had turned back on.

Traask began to play with the wires. Before long the security lock on the door buzzed and a second layer of durasteel slid down to further protect the contents of the room. His eyes traced over the heavy blast doors unsure as to why they were in the training room, but they were there none-the-less.

Taking a blue wire and dragging it across a black procured a buzz from the console. Before long it was chirping loudly and the holoprojectors that had once been shut off hummed to life; giving the two men a bit of a "laser-light show." His eyes marveled at the possibilities of such a simple alteration. It could take hours or even days to figure out what each wire did specifically without the help of a splicing tool or blueprint to the fuse box. Relaxing against the wall some by using the blunt end of his shoulder he looked to Iban.

"..How's this get you through the deeper layers?"

“This? Oh, you can shock a computer system to shut down and reboot, where the security is at it’s least effective. Besides that, you could do so many things to people if they were in a room where there were plenty of electronics hooked into the main system.”

Iban had noticed Traask’s look at the walls. “The different metals are there for you to test yourself against different wall types and compositions, as well as the multitude of ways the walls are built."

Traask simply nodded, it made sense to practice on the different types of walls and electronics. The compound was a great facility for such exercises and he had to commend Iban on such ingenuity. Standing up from his position he looked over the internal electronics one last time before facing his trainer.

"What's next?"

“Whats next? Well I hate to say it but you have already bested the programs that every Enforcer has bested.”

Iban scratched his chin.

“Unless you want to really challenge yourself?"

Traask listened to Iban's words, he was challenging him; and it was rare that he'd back down from such a provocation. Standing up a little more straight his arms crossed and he stared down the man.

"I'm always prepared for a challenge.. unless you feel it is unnecessary."

“It is never unnecessary to test yourself.” Iban went to the console and began to press buttons.

“Give me a moment.” Iban began to set up the new challenge. He contacted the third layer AI for his security system and transferred it to the room. It glowed from a holoprojector.

It announced himself,”Hello, I am Ruusan. I believe that Iban is attempting to set up a challenge between the two of us, am I correct in that assumption?"

Traask looked at the AI. If he would be battling a computer designed for splicing he felt he wouldn't have much of a chance, but he wasn't about to back down. Nadill gave a glance to Iban before taking a step forward and looking at the AI.

"S'pose so."

His hands hovered over the computer keys, waiting for whatever came "next."

((OMG I feel so sorry. RL stuff my bad.))

“Well then. Mental chess is the name, computer hacking is the game.” Iban walked towards one side of the doors. “Ruusan, put forth a fitting test for Traask. Make sure it’s difficult. Also, Traask, don’t try to destroy my AI.”

Traask simply nodded at the implication of the final exercise. His eyes traced over the small frame of the console before his hands began to work. He couldn't quite understand how it all worked, but it was getting him to where it needed to be. As the AI began to power up the defenses within the system, Traask began a few tricks of his own.

He'd manipulate the playing field instead of the pawns within it. His hands began working over the system, trying to find the security "walls" that came up all too often. Once the AI activated them the trap would be sprung, leaving the system open to any feeds to suck information from. Once the system recognized what was happening a flurry of drones would attack the system, trying to take out any and all security that came to the "rescue."

Then as he sat back the AI began work of its own, tempting him to break through weakened security areas, areas that he completely ignored. The creation of a decoder began running hundreds if not thousands of password programs, doing all they could to access the AI's central "brain." As the decoders went to work, so did the smuggler. His eyes looked up to see where Iban had gone before hammering in a few more commands of his own. The firewalls sprung out once the decoders went to work and his plan had sprung loose. Tens of drones began accessing encrypted information and pooling it to a datapad at Traask's hip. The action had nearly brought a grin to the regularly cold man's face, but instead his face remained expressionless.

The AI began to counterbalance this attack by sending out multiple defense protocols to snatch up the drones. Various worms attached themselves to the advanced consoles webbing of encryption and various other protections. They were simply moving all the files they could to one location so the drones themselves could collect the information necessary to get to where Traask desired; the AI.

He knew the intelligence would be at work trying to discover what exactly it was the bounty hunter was up to. In reality its protection would be its greatest downfall, it wouldn't look to itself for protection and instead leave walls upon walls of security open for penetration. Minutes would feel like seconds to Nadill, his fingers beginning to fatigue at their constant hammering before he finally smashed in the enter button one last time. The result would be shredding the AI's core intelligence to almost nothing but it's core capabilities. It would probably take days if not weeks to repair such a hit to the AI, but the program was designed as such.. There was no telling how many copies of Ruusan they had in Iban's warehouses.

His eyes went to the businessman once more, wondering how angered he'd be about having an AI brought to ruins. He hadn't exactly taken it easy on the system, but he also wasn't a man to give remorse. Crossing his arms he wanted whatever there was to come next, but had a feeling that he might have completed all the tasks necessary..

“Ah. Good Traask.”

Iban walked straight toward the console and stood by Traask.

“Good thing that AI wasn’t important. Never really did use it. Oh well.” He winked at Traask. “Now then, I think your training is complete in the hacking area. Unless you have any questions?"
