Apophe's eyes went wide. She had many vices. Drugs. Sex. Trash Holos. Alcohol... Many. But none, absolutely none compared to her cheesecake lust. She hadn't had it until she was an adult, but the first time was all it took. She was hooked. She had easily gained a dress size from eating as much as she could after being introduced. She'd probably gain more if it wasn't controlled. Thankfully, saner heads prevailed and braved the Imperatrix's wrath to cut her off. It had been some time since she had eaten it now. Amelia didn't know.

She couldn't have known, right?

It wouldn't be too bad. It'd only be one cheesecake. It wasn't like she was going to eat herself to death. Just one cheesecake. She just had to play it cool. She didn't need to let Amelia know that she was a horrible cheesecake glutton.

"Ohhh, that sounds good," Apophe said. "Lead on, Princess Amelia."

Amelia would grab Apophe's hand and lead her back to the speeder. The driver would take the pair back to the palace and Amelia would lead the way back to Apophe's room. After the girls arrived there, Amelia would walk over to her stuff and bring out a refrigerated box with a small cheesecake inside. She opened it and cut herself a small piece, sitting down at the table in the room. "How do you like it?"

Apophe couldn't help herself. She cut herself a rather large piece and pretty quickly went to town on it. Oh, she was horrible. She had zero self-control. The slice was gone in seconds. So good, so perfect. Why hadn't the Yahm ever invented something like this? Cheesecake was truly the crowning culinary achievement of the Galaxy.

She looked up at Amelia with chipmunk cheeks.

"Ish... Ish good," she said, before struggling to swallow. Somehow, she managed. "It's very good."

"Ish... Ish good. It's very good.'

"I'm glad you like it, because that's all that you'll be getting." The cooks for the Yahm told her about Apophe's vice, and to be honest, Amelia had the same vice. She smiled and cut herself another piece, handing the rest to Apophe, which wasn't very much. After she finished, Amelia put the container back and then moved her chair next to Apophe's and sat down. "So, did I do good with this date?"

Apophe blushed. Of course Amelia knew. But she couldn't help herself. She really was an addict when it came to cheesecake, as silly as that was. When the second piece was offered, she wolfed that down too, albeit somewhat more slowly. Less risk of choking that way.

"It's been amazing," Apophe said. "Absolutely amazing."

She smiled.

"We're going to have to keep doing this," she said. "Doesn't matter how busy we get, we need to keep this up. For both our sakes."

"I whole-heartedly agree. If we are going to make a marriage between us work, then yes, we are going to have to spend as much time together as possible." She wrapped an arm around Apophe's waist, squeezing her tightly. She looked back on how far the two had come. It was crazy to think that six months ago, they hadn't even known that they each existed. And now they were set to get married. Amelia wondered how Apophe's family would react to their engagement. Arsolyn was pretty much a definite no, though Amelia could be wrong. She often is. "Hey, have you told Arsolyn about us yet?"

"No..." Apophe said, looking away.

She sighed, and hugged Amelia back.

"I'm thinking I'm going to go tell her, though," Apophe said. "I want her around, and I think being honest with her is the first step to fixing that." She shrugged. "I don't know how it's going to go. We're probably going to scream at each other a lot. But we were close once."

She smiled. "You know, I think talking to you has really motivated me to repair my relationship with her."

"I am glad to help. I've learned the hard way that family is important. Even if we don't agree with them." Amelia adjusted herself so that she was sitting on Apophe's lap. She rested her head on her fiance's shoulder. "I should probably go and talk with Arsolyn after you do. She'll probably want to interrogate me." Amelia was joking about the last part, but wouldn't be surprised if it actually happened.

Apophe grimaced, nodding. In some ways, she wanted to protect Amelia from Arsolyn. She imagined she would be pretty mad with her for a little while and she could see the priestess taking out her frustration on poor Amelia. She didn't know if Amelia would survive that... Or if Arsolyn would. Both were pretty dangerous when mad.

"Iiiii should probably be there when you talk to her," Apophe said. "She's got a temper and I don't want her fighting you."

She looked around, eyes drifting over Amelia. She kissed the top of her head, and then laid her head on top of Amelia's. She wondered exactly why family matters had to be so difficult.

"That's a good idea." She nuzzled into Apophe's neck, enjoying the warmth and stability of her new fiance. But, Amelia couldn't have a nice moment with Apophe without something going wrong.

"No... No, no, NO!" She practically yelled this as she gripped Apophe tighter, trying to keep herself stable. Her ADHD was acting up severely, this was one of the moment's that she didn't want Apophe to see. This was a moment of true helplessness that Amelia experienced. She held tightly to Apophe, who by now would feel Amelia's entire body shaking. She struggled to look up at Apophe, "Please... Help..."

Panic struck Apophe. She had no idea what to do in this moment, heck, she only had the faintest idea of what was going on. She felt Amelia shake against her and gripped her tighter. She wasn't exactly trained in dealing with this sort of thing. She wished she had some sense as to how she could make it better, but all she could do was hold her close and stroke her hair.

"Amelia, Amelia honey," Apophe said, the fear clear in her voice. "What do I do?"

"Amelia, Amelia honey. What do I do?"

Amelia looked back up to Apophe, "J-just hold me... P-please..." Amelia held as tightly to Apophe as she could, but at one point, she curled into a ball, her body still shaking. She hated for Apophe to see her like this, but it was comforting to know that her fiance would do whatever it took to keep her safe.

Apophe frowned, but she held Amelia close as she could. She wanted to be able to do something more immediately, to be able to fix this right now, but that hope was probably in vain. Even as the leader of an interplanetary empire, there were limits to Apophe's power and abilities. Perhaps she could see Lazzis' little toy, Rokuro. He was a Jedi, and perhaps could help with both their medical issues. Other ideas crossed her mind. There had to be some drug that helped with this. Apophe took some to help with her headaches and to help her relax. Maybe they could do something? Or would they just make it worse? She wasn't sure.

"It's alright, I'm here," Apophe said.

This brought up issues, though. Both of them had medical issues, which meant that no matter who the mother was, if they had children, there were probably going to be problems. Apophe secretly hoped any children she had wouldn't be as massive as she was. While being big had its benefits, it came with many downsides and most of them were medical. Worse yet were the headaches. Doctors said they were caused by brain damage, but she wasn't so certain. What if they were passed down? And then there was Amelia's problem with what she had here. Apophe didn't know how she would deal with it if both her children and her wife had that. What if they all experienced an episode at the same time?

She rocked Amelia back and forth in her arms, hoping to simply wait out the worst of it. At one point, one of her dogs - Klein - wandered in, watching with worried eyes and trying to lick at Amelia to make her feel better, pawing at her. Apophe shooed him, but he simply curled up at their feet, making a soft whining.

It would be another five minutes until Amelia's body started to calm down. She would start to expand from her ball, her legs began to extend and touch the floor while her back began to straighten out. She raised her head and nuzzled Apophe's neck. "Thank you. I love you."

She would then reach up with one hand and cup Apophe's cheek, bringing their lips together in a kiss that was not meant to be short. After a while, she pulled back, "I love you so much. And I can't wait to be your wife."

Apophe felt the tension leave her as Amelia came down. It was only then that she was aware of how hard her heart had been beating. Though Amelia was probably never in any danger, the idea that Apophe could have lost her on the day Amelia proposed to her was inherently terrifying. The universe had taken so much from her, it seemed almost natural to expect it might saboutage her happiness in other ways. Still, now she could relax some and stop worrying so much about that.

"I feel the same way, Amelia," Apophe said. "And I can't wait either."

She grinned.

"Oh, man, our honey-moon is going to be ridiculous."

"Oh, man, our honey-moon is going to be ridiculous."

"Oh, Really? You may have to explain that in more detail for me." Amelia stood up, pulling Apophe along with her. She Brought Apophe over to the bed and pushed her down slowly. Bringing their lips together for a long and passionate kiss.
