was a painful and not exactly the most enjoyable process for a padawan. The many calming fountains that dot the Garden of Ossus. A reason beyond Chasted as to why his master chose this location was beyond him but it indeed seemed to have a calming effect; the soft grass and the aromatic smell of the flowers and simple dew had heavy calming effect on him.

-----

It was just yesterday when he had received word that a master was 'found' for him and just a simple name of the Knight was provided. 'Who might have requested this novice apprentice or was thrusted upon him as a task by the council?' Upon being told the news that thought had ran through his mind in an instant. The night itself wasn't exactly as restful as one would hope too; excitement and a hint of worry welled in his belly in the simple hope that his problems will become 'better'.

-----

His blond hair had grown into a braid at the back; feeling it move just between the shoulder blades as it disturbed his clothings position. As most Jedi should, he meditated while he waited. Remembering the lessons passed, the 'group teachers' lectured him numerous times to feel the surroundings with the force, to let go of the worries of the now and other things that just didn't seem to fit with this sitting still. Because of this the 'child's' aura did not seem at harmony with himself while waiting; it seemed like it was fidgeting as a small child would.

Huang Karasu paced through the gardens, towards his first padawan. He had heard he was no normal child. But Huang was not a model Jedi himself... His dark piercings and pale skin stood out among the regular Jedi, and his eyes just made him a true oddity... Like Master Edo.

He found his student, nestled near the fountains. Haung's black robe whispered as it blew against his shins. He placed a hand on the padawan. ''I am here, Chasted. Are you ready to train?'' He looked down, his metal plate on the red headband glinting in the light.

When Chasted's new trainer had approached and queried his readiness to be able to train his eyes quickly opened and rather awkwardly he stood up to greet him. With a confused smile he answered, "I think so, what sha-..." Pausing as something shone in his eyes it was a bit blinding but his curiosity peaked at the fact of its existance, "What is that for?" Asking in a inquisitive manner while slightly pointed at his forehead protector.

''This, young padawan is a simple garment. A...cultural symbol.'' He closed his eyes. ''Tell me of yourself, everything you know. I wish to know my student before i teach them.''

With his inner cat sated, for now, his eyes moved to a far off distance in an attempt to think about his past. "Well, according to the masters my parents died when I was but a babe and the cause wasn't really known..." Once again he paused, trying to think of a few more key points so that his life story does not become a book, "I was taken here to the Jedi Temple because of my power to the force, that seems to lie a little," quickly adding that last part onto the recount with a slight hint of forlornness to it.

"And yeah, thats about it other than being raised at the temple in Ossus to become a Jedi." Finishing off with a happier tune though.

''If the masters brought you here for your power, it is present. All that is needed is a way of tapping into it. And the main method of that is meditating. I have heard that your aptitude in this area is lacking. A method i find to work is to focus on the thougt of a comforting place, and slowly let it fade, so that all that is left are your thoughts.'' Huang instructed, his answer short and concise, as always.

A little pang in Chasted's pride when his ability to meditate was spoken but this was a good way to go. "Very well, Master Huang, I shall give it a try." Sitting down to assume the meditative stance that the Jedi use so much he had closed his eyes and imagined the place he found to be comforting.

---
An aged man leading a small school of younglings though to a younger garden. The sea of faces contained padawans of this era and some others; in particular one face stood out and it was the blond haired child in the center. The old man sat down and his students followed suit; "Now children, listen to the fountain flow, fill your mind with the sound of nature..." The voice drifted off, the world itself reduced in size to just contain the sounds of a fountain and a few bird calls.
---

Chasted sat for only a few minutes but his aura began to, once again, fuss about and flow unevenly which only led the boy opening his eyes; "I must apologize, for reasons beyond me your style does not appear to work."

Huang closed his eyes, and thought. After a few minutes of quiet contemplation, he opened his eyes again. ''I sensed your aura. It is never static, like that of other Jedi when meditating. I propose a form of meditation in which you are active, and focussing on a task, for example simple lightsabre training, or repairing damaged mechanics. Which would you prefer to do now? Lightsabre technique or repairing machines?'' Huang contemplated the odd boy, his glowing eyes unblinking.

Puzzled by what Huang is saying about the apprentice's force aura; thinking that everyones actually acted like this and it was a problem with him. As for his masters question; to him the answer was obvious but he could not see the real point. After a few moments of thinking a confused answer emerged "Er... I would say Lightsaber Techniques, as Machines, are a thing that is beyond me, currently."

Huang was pleased. His area of expertise was with the blade. He nodded, and drew his lightsabre. It unclipped from a special 'scabbard', and as he swung it up and forward, as if drawing a sword, he ignited it, the orange blade humming to life. He also drew a training lightsabre, and handed it to chasted. Until he made a lightsabre of his own, he would use that. ''Now, i shall show you some simple moves, and, in focusing upon them, you should find the inner peace for meditation.'' Huang demonstrated simple footwork, and repetitive swings, characteristic of early Juyo steps, before the user refined the strokes, so that a small area was needed for large cuts.

Being passed the training saber Chasted felt its' weight and grip. The hilt is just like the other ones he would have used before becoming a Padawan this made him already familiar with the weapon. "I'll try..."

At first Chasted stood, watching his trainer use the his saber and noticing the location of his hands on the grip and then mimicking them. Soon, he ignited the saber, as instructed, and a green glow came out of it which illuminated the nearby area. Copying the first few moves that he had seen and continued, trying to concentrate upon these moves and flow through with them. It did not take long for his actions to 'kick' in and a feeling of inner calm took over and his force aura seemed to be controlled more than what it was being a few minutes ago.

((I find it a little odd your using a form that brings out raw emotions as a away to find inner peace XD))

((I know, i enjoy the irony...))

Huang felt the padawan's aura pacify, and move with him. ''Excellent, you are certainly learning quickly. Continue, and you should begin to feel truly at peace with yourself. When you do, stop, and we shall move on to the next step.'' Huang stood, watching his pupil. This would indeed be a learning curve for both of them, though an unconventional student usually required an unconventional teacher...

With the slow movements he ran through the 'drills', thinking of what Chasted was told; it took only a few minutes for him to stop. Although not fully at peace he did feel more 'in control' of his powers than he did before and this, is a rather great achievement for him. Distinguishing his training saber he looked towards Huang, "I believe I am ready to continue;" The cat within him woke up as curiosity had peaked, forcing him to ask, "But why did this work better than what I had been told by the other Jedi?"

((I also changed the post above, it was a little too rushed imo))

''It is because, young padawan, your aura does not move in the way of most Jedi. It moves erratically, and through doing activity, and moving, it will match you. It is unknown why this is the case. They have never told you, because they have never seen a method to solve this.'' Huang paused. ''Now, i shall teach you force powers. show me what you've already learned, if anything.''

To him, the reason was just in his grasp of understanding due his level of knowledge on the Force as a theory subject currently. It had reassured him that his master had actually known the problem lest he had been thrown away as wasted talent. "I know the three basics that all Padawans seem to know; increasing my speed and the pulling and pushing of objects beyond my normal reach," Pausing for a few moments but continued in a slightly depressed tone, "However, all abilities had trouble sustaining a decent level of output to be useful in almost any situation." Eyes moved down, what pride he had took another stab admitting this.

''Well, now you know how to gain proper control over your powers, so i suggest you try them again after moving meditation.'' Huang replied, hands motioning along.

"Very well, Master," Looking around to find some random object in which he could use for the test not much really came up until the last moment, a small rock. Now, remembering how he did it last time; look at the object, know you want it in your hands. As it began the stone started to lift slowly off the ground, however as it started to fly towards him it seemed to grow in speed at an exponential rate and reflect off his palm with a graze left on it; "It worked!" He shouted jubilantly while rubbing his hand.

''Indeed. But remember: Control. You must learn control. If you have no control over the force, your greatest ally, then you will never gain your full potential. Try again, but don't let it speed up.'' Huang explained. he was fully getting into the teaching business now. The force was his second best area of expertise.

Normally Chasted had to concentrate and force it that much to just get a movement in the rock but now, it was wise to take heed of Master Huangs warning and try it with a little bit less power. Choosing the same rock that ricochet off his hand and stated to concentrate upon that rock. This time it had floated up slowly into the air and moved towards his hand in a more fluid motion and with it, landing in his hand safely.

''Excellent work. Now, try to concentrate the force in your legs, and jump. As you do so, release the force, and you should jump higher than a regular human should.'' Huang would go through the basics first, and then move onto more fun powers, and lightsabres...
