"Star Four, moving out!" Mig chimed over his comlink as the bomber had jumped to hyperspace from Hoth heading towards Mataou. "Let's go, Omnis!"

The Gotal Engineer loved his new ship, but it needed some boosts. Mig wanted to be the best and these bombers were too average. Modifications were in order. Omnis had a similar ship so it made sense for the pair to head off with their ships to find a dealer. Mataou was known for having plenty of salvage yards, mechanics, and parts for sale. On top of all that, it was a very short flight.

Mataou was a desert world which was pretty much as opposite of Hoth as one could get. Mig would like to escape the cold for a bit, and the return trip would be a nice relief from the heat. A win-win if the Gotal ever had one. He would land his ship near a decent sized town and head out into the hot sand. A shop up ahead had advertised afterburners for ships to get speed boosts. Mig wanted that so he could really push his bomber among the fighters.

"Omnis, friend, this is it!" He said excitedly as he pointed towards the shop ahead.

Mig was living dangerously a bit by wearing all of his weapons. He didn't even leave the PIPE in his ship. This world was friendly to them and was back water enough to not care. Some might give him odd looks, but Mig wanted to be ready for anything. Last time he had wandered around with the bare basics, he had almost found himself in big trouble. Never again, he told himself. Defending friends and helping others required the best he could find.

Omnis was glad that Mig was so excited for their trip, though he was just as excited to get his new bomber upgraded. Matou was a world he hadn't been to before, so that was another boost to his morale. At the base of it all, though, was his desire to be of use to the Galactic Alliance. That was the main reason he was here to be honest. Plus Mig tended to get into the weirdest spots of trouble. That was why Omnis was fully decked out in his combat equipment, including his thermal detonators. The thought that having all that on him could be a bad idea didn't even cross his mind. "Well, let's go, then! I can't wait to get our ships a speed boost. Maybe next time we can get automatic mirrors. The hand crank is a bit awkward, who thought that was a good idea?"

As a mechanic himself, Mig had a lot of respect for mechanic shops. These teams worked hard to repair, build, and modify vehicles of all types. He hoped this would be a special treat for them and they'd do it just for the rarity of the vessel coming in. The Gotal entered the shop he had heard about and a fat Toydarian floated over. He looked grumpy and wore grungy clothes. Mig of course still would greet in his usual happy way as he did with everyone.

"Hello, friend!" Mig would say excitedly as the being hovered over slowly. "We are here to get some special work done our ships. You know, special?"

Subtly was one of Mig's greatest strengths. In response, the shop keeper simply laughed for a good few moments. He had likely not seen such a person as Mig in his lifetime. The Toydarian peeked outside and saw the two bombers in all of their glory sitting there. A thoughtful, nasally 'hmmm' came from him before he spoke back. His tone was harsh and he spoke in Huttese rather than basic.

"Koose pankpa parchee," he started off, pointing towards a large scrapyard in the distance. "Droi azalus keepuna!"

Mig took a few moments to understand what the mechanic meant. The guy began laughing again as he floated back to the workshop floor. There was a small shuttle in for repairs that apparently did not need such dangerous chores to be done. The Gotal turned to Omnis after a moment when they were left alone. It seemed they would need their gear after all. Unexpected, but maybe it would be fun.

"Looks like we have to go kill some hostile droid in the scrapyard, friend." Mig said slowly, trying to decipher things. "That doesn't seem so bad!"

"Yeah, that sounds like it'll be easy. Let's head on over, the quicker we are the quicker we can fulfill our oaths of Justice!" With a thumbs up and a grin, which the clouds parting to reveal the sun caused a bright glint off of Omnis' perfect teeth, he walked alongside Mig towards the junk area that had been pointed out to them. Perhaps it was the fact that the two of them were heavily armed, wielding enough explosives and weapons to take down a fair sized army, that allowed them to make their way all the way to the gate of the junkyard without anyone hassling them. Sure, what they wore was expensive not easy to get, yet it also proved they knew how to use their hard won gear. No one really liked being forced to eat a Thermal Detonator, after all. Once they arrived he looked to Mig, raising an eyebrow. "So, how do you want to go about this? I'll follow your lead, friend."

Mig stared into the junkyard and wondered what the big deal was about this place. Their mechanic made it sound like they would not be able to get parts because of a droid problem. He was intent on fixing the droid issue for his new friend. The pair of rebels would hopefully be able to handle a single rogue droid. Mig was fairly certain the Huttese had meant a single droid at least. A glance inside might not reveal much, but through the dust Mig saw something a bit terrifying.

"Wait, I see something!" He said cheerfully to Omnis before they could step inside. "Something in the pathway. It's... a body!"

A dead Rodian was rotting in the junkyard right in the pathway. It seemed to have been shot multiple times with a blaster. Mig then noticed as he squinted harder that the Rodian was not alone. A few mercenary looking types had come in and met their end here. A couple broken droids also were toppled over and a few poor looking mechanics. As the dust settled more it was obvious that anyone sent in here lately had died and no one could recover the bodies or the spaceship parts. Something was on the hunt and called this place home now. It was lucky that Mig saw these because now he would approach carefully, unknowingly avoiding a trap.

"Oh no. We should be extra careful!" Mig said, pointing his Bowcaster around looking for any targets. "It must be in a different part of the junkyard right now. Nothing else is here except scrap and... bodies... Let's go in but keep to cover!"

The Gotal quickly moved inside and found a pile of metal to use as cover for a moment. He would wait for Omnis to catch up before moving on. His eyes were peeled for trouble. A droid had been making adventurers pay and that was no good. Mig wondered where it was hiding and hoped they were not being hunted already.

"Where do you think it is?" He whispered.
